Chapter 233

~7 min read 1,252 words

Under a Heavenly Dao-level comprehension.

The techniques he once thought had reached their pinnacle were now riddled with loopholes.

Now was the perfect chance to take advantage of Master Yuanshi's sermon to patch and perfect all those loopholes.

Allowing his techniques to grow ever stronger.

And so, under Master Yuanshi's sermon, and under the slightly uneasy gaze of Saint Tongtian.

Though Luo Fu's condition looked very poor, he kept on persevering, which even left Master Yuanshi somewhat astonished.

This disciple of Tongtian could actually endure it this well.

In Master Yuanshi's view, it was entirely possible that Luo Fu might suffer a backlash from the Great Dao at some point.

Yet the Luo Fu before him was just this tenacious.

He looked as though he could drop dead at any moment, his face pale as paper, yet despite it all, Luo Fu actually held on.

One could only say that this human, Luo Fu, truly possessed an extraordinarily tenacious capacity to endure.

If it were those few personal disciples of his, Master Yuanshi, they probably would not have been able to bear it long ago.

Thinking of this, Master Yuanshi's face darkened.

Compared with his junior brother Tongtian, he felt that his disciples were inferior in every way.

That feeling was very unpleasant.

At a certain moment.

The laws of the Great Dao around Master Yuanshi slowly drew back in; this sermon of his had already ended, and the matter he had promised Luo Fu was now complete.

"Junior brother Tongtian, this elder brother's sermon ends here." Master Yuanshi said in a deep voice. "On this point, I trust you have seen it as well."

"This junior brother, on behalf of Luo Fu, thanks elder brother." Tongtian Jiaozhu said with a nod.

This time, the fact that he, Tongtian Jiaozhu, had appeared naturally meant he understood that Master Yuanshi had indeed given this sermon with almost his full effort.

"It's nothing. Only, whether this turns out good or bad for your disciple, that has nothing to do with me." Master Yuanshi waved his hand.

By common sense, such a thing—overstepping the limits of one's own ability—would surely cause grave harm to a living being.

But whether this Tongtian disciple Luo Fu would end up that way, Master Yuanshi did not give a definitive answer either.

One could only say that, over this period, Luo Fu's performance still led Master Yuanshi to acknowledge Luo Fu's aptitude.

"Of course, Uncle-Master Yuanshi, whether anything happens to this disciple afterward or not, it has nothing to do with Uncle-Master." Luo Fu slowly opened his eyes, as though he had just heard Master Yuanshi's words, and replied, "This is Luo Fu's own choice."

"Mm…" Master Yuanshi nodded.

"This disciple thanks Master for guarding me through this sermon." Luo Fu bowed toward Tongtian Jiaozhu on the other side and said.

"Luo Fu, after this sermon you will need time to digest it. As for the Great Dao inheritance from Uncle-Master Laozi, perhaps you can wait a while." Tongtian Jiaozhu said, looking at the pale-faced Luo Fu.

"Master, I understand." Luo Fu nodded.

"Good…" Tongtian Jiaozhu said with a light laugh. "As for you, this Master still has great confidence in you. When the time comes, you may come to Biyu Palace; this Master also wishes to lecture you properly."

"Thank you, Master."

Then, Tongtian Jiaozhu's figure shattered into fragments of light and vanished between heaven and earth.

"Uncle-Master Yuanshi, then this disciple will take his leave first." Luo Fu bowed toward Master Yuanshi ahead and said.

"Go." Master Yuanshi's eyes carried a deep, profound light as he replied softly.

Regarding this personal disciple of Tongtian Jiaozhu, Master Yuanshi could no longer offer any particular evaluation.

That a being at the Taiyi Jin Xian level could receive Great Dao knowledge reaching the level of a Saint's Dao—in the past, that was something he had never imagined.

After all, a certain Great Dao inheritance exerts pressure on a living being's soul.

Perhaps Luo Fu's condition after receiving the Saint's Dao was not great, but he had indeed received it.

On this point, other beings of the Primordial Wilderness could not have done it.

Facing Master Yuanshi's reply, Luo Fu respectfully bowed once, then slowly left this Dao arena palace.

Although this time had taken a certain amount of it.

But his comprehension reaching the Heavenly Dao level, and his strength breaking through to Taiyi Jin Xian, were a tremendous gain for Luo Fu.

Moreover, even in terms of his physical body, Luo Fu, using the method perceived through his own comprehension, had great confidence in breaking through from Jin Xian to Taiyi.

How terrifying a Heavenly Dao-level comprehension was.

No one could understand it; even Luo Fu himself did not fully grasp just how astonishing a help his current comprehension would be for his future growth.

One could say that, compared to his previous Primordial Unity Daluo-level comprehension, a Heavenly Dao-level comprehension allowed Luo Fu to go much farther.

Not to mention cross-realm combat—perhaps when Luo Fu's strength reached the Quasi-Saint stage.

He might even be able to use a Quasi-Saint's body to strike back against a Saint; that was not impossible either.

One must know that even the Wu and Yao races, by borrowing the power of special formations, could only push their strength to the Primordial Unity Daluo stage.

This allowed the Wu and Yao races to barely contend against a Heavenly Dao Saint for a moment or two.

In terms of time, using formations came with certain limits.

Not to mention that even in terms of pure strength, although the Wu and Yao races' use of formations let them face off against a Saint for a moment or two.

That was still limited to mere facing off.

To truly fight was an entirely different matter.

But if Luo Fu could truly continue to grow, achieving this with a Quasi-Saint's body was not impossible.

When Luo Fu left the small world where Master Yuanshi resided, he suddenly noticed that the boy attendant was looking at him with a surprised gaze, watching the direction he was walking—as though he intended to walk out of the Jade Void Palace.

"Greetings, Little Master." Suppressing the shock in his heart, the boy attendant bowed respectfully and said.

"Xiao Bai." Luo Fu nodded, then asked, "Let me ask you something."

"Please go ahead, Little Master." The boy attendant Xiao Bai hurriedly said.

"Why are you here? Is it because Uncle-Master Yuanshi sent word?" Luo Fu asked.

"No, little master," said Little White, shaking his head. "Just as little master entered Master's Dao hall, I was about to leave Jade Void Palace, but I hadn't gone far before little master came out again."

"Hmm…" Hearing Little White's reply, Luo Fu was slightly startled.

If what this boy said was true, not much time had passed since he entered the place where Master Yuanshi Tianzun had just been teaching.

Yet in Luo Fu's mind, the time he spent listening to the Dao from Master Yuanshi Tianzun had been measured in centuries.

For Luo Fu's soul, there should be no great discrepancy in this regard.

But the reaction of this boy before him could not possibly be a lie.

That meant the boy's words were true: from entering to leaving the place where Master Yuanshi Tianzun taught, hardly any time had passed at all.

Perhaps to the boy, Little White, it had been but an instant.

"Is this the power of a Sage?" thought Luo Fu.
