Chapter 30: The Immortal

~2 min read 286 words

In the Primordial World, fate is transcended.

This is not common, but neither is it rare; like the Three Pure Ones of old and many primordial ancient beings, they all possessed the qualification to transcend fate.

Yet those who truly transcend fate are exceedingly few.

But one thing is certain: such individuals have a greater chance of becoming powerful in the future.

Now, this human, Luo Fu, possesses such a qualification.

His future holds countless possibilities—even the Three Pure Ones, as Saints, cannot determine how far he will go.

Know that even for beings with predetermined fate, their destiny paths are myriad—thousands, even tens of thousands—perhaps insufficient to describe them all.

This is because the Primordial World's specially existing calamities cause the fates of its beings to shift in countless ways.

Just as Daoist Duobao will one day become the progenitor of the Fomen, the Buddha.

This path may also have been calculated within Duobao's fate, and even Saint Tongtian may have glimpsed it.

Yet Saint Tongtian cannot alter any of these myriad fate paths.

After all, though Saints are indestructible through countless calamities, they still lie beneath Heaven's Dao and are not truly omnipotent.

Like in some Xuanhuan Worlds, where beings cross the Changhe of time, primordial beings find this nearly impossible, for it is taboo in this world.

Forcibly crossing the Changhe invites the backlash of Heaven's Dao.

These matters aside for now.

Hearing Master Yuanshi's words, Saint Tongtian shook his head, "Senior brother, that's not how it is—no one can determine the future of a transcender, not you, not me."

"On the contrary, I look forward to this disciple's growth."

At this moment, Saint Tongtian decided: his fifth direct disciple had been chosen.
