Chapter 568: The Greatest Cover-Up! The Consumed Human Dao
Claimed to be the great tide of Heaven's Dao, unchangeable.
Human Dao is directly governed by Heaven's Dao; the kings of Wan Ling's main race, humanity, can only call themselves Sons of Heaven.
The several sovereigns of Human Dao are sealed within Huoyun Cave.
This sealing is not like the confinement imposed by Ancestor Hongjun upon the Six Sages.
Ancestor Hongjun's confinement of the Six Sages amounted at most to verbal reprimand; they could still sneak out, as long as they didn't cause too much trouble.
The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors cannot—they cannot leave Huoyun Cave at all.
Although the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors are nominally cultivating in seclusion within Huoyun Cave, they are in fact imprisoned there.
Humanity is Wan Ling's main race, the foremost clan in the Three Realms, holding a vast portion of Wan Ling's destiny.
In a certain sense, humanity's status within Human Dao is equivalent to Lady Pingxin's status within Earth Dao.
If humanity could unify, the one who controls the majority of humanity's destiny would inevitably become a Sage of Human Dao.
Unfortunately, humanity in the Journey to the West World can never unify.
First, humanity was created by the Holy Nüwa, not a naturally born being; Holy Nüwa inherently holds a portion of humanity's destiny.
Second, the Three Pure Ones, led by Taishang, each established their own teachings upon the foundation of humanity's destiny, seizing the right to civilize humanity.
The Three Pure Ones each hold a portion of humanity's destiny.
Even Western Naishifu Sect has, over these years, converted countless humans.
Western Naishifu Sect possesses countless Buddha-realms, all of which require Buddhist followers to sustain them; humanity is unquestionably the most suitable race for conversion.
Thus, Western Naishifu Sect also holds a portion of humanity's destiny.
This current cosmic cycle is the Eastern Transmission of Buddhism.
Should Buddhism succeed, Western Naishifu Sect will claim even more of humanity's destiny.
Under the division of the Six Sages, humanity's destiny has long been shattered into fragments, utterly incapable of coalescing into unity.
The only ones who might have hoped to gather humanity's destiny and claim a share—the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors—are all trapped in Huoyun Cave.
Today's humanity has no Emperor at all, only Sons of Heaven.
Son of Heaven, as the name implies, is the child of Heaven.
As a child of Heaven, he naturally falls under the rule of the Heavenly Court.
One is ruler, one is subject; the subject must naturally offer destiny as tribute.
That is to say, the already meager portion of humanity's destiny held by human dynasties must still surrender a large share to the Heavenly Court.
Amid this multi-sided division, less than one in ten of humanity's destiny remains usable by humanity itself.
From this perspective, humanity is little more than a puppet.
A puppet used to divide the destiny of Human Dao.
Humanity's descent to this state clearly cannot be separated from Ancestor Hongjun.
