Chapter 819
The reason these curse forces can spread through Buddhist light is that they have been imbued with causal force.
They do not spread through Buddhist light itself, but through the causal force attached to the Buddhist light.
If the causal link is not severed, the spread of the curse force will not cease.
Severing the causal link is not something easily accomplished.
The Dao of Cause and Effect is also highly mastered by the Two Western Saints.
Precisely because of this, they understand just how entangled the causal force of the curse force is.
The causal force upon the curse force was not arbitrarily added by someone.
It is genuine cause and effect, merely awakened by someone.
This causal link is the one between the converted believers themselves and Buddhism.
Under normal circumstances, there exists a causal link between believers and the object of worship.
The more devout the believer, the more incense and vow power is generated, and the deeper the causal link with the object of worship becomes.
For the object of worship to resolve this causal link, they must fulfill the wishes of the believers.
All things in the world must abide by the principle of equivalent exchange.
To gain something, one must give something in return.
To obtain incense and vow power, the object of worship must naturally protect the believers.
After all, no one would worship someone without reason.
Incense and vow power is one of the fastest ways to increase cultivation base.
With sufficient incense and vow power, one can even ascend to Great Luo Jinxian within a single day.
Yet in the Primordial World, apart from Buddhism, almost no one cultivates incense and vow power.
Apart from Buddhism, the Heavenly Court possesses the most incense and vow power in the Primordial World.
The Heavenly Court follows the Path of Deity, collecting countless incense and vow power.
Becoming one of the Heavenly Court's divine officials allows one to share in these incense and vow powers.
Yet most beings in the Primordial World are unwilling to serve in the Heavenly Court.
The Heavenly Court, in order to fill its vacancies, is forced to rely on the Divine Enfeoffment.
This reveals that faith and vow power is not a good thing.
If it were truly a good thing, the Heavenly Court's divine positions would be fiercely contested by countless beings.
The primary reason most beings avoid incense and vow power is the causal link.
