Chapter 906: Ancestor Minghe vs. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva!

~5 min read 876 words

The Western Realm is relatively barren and lacks many primordial spiritual treasures.

True disciples of the Fomen sect typically choose to refine their own spiritual treasures.

The kasaya worn by the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is a spiritual treasure he himself refined, just like the kasaya worn by Tang Seng during the Journey to the West—it is embedded with seven treasures, impervious to water and fire, and can likewise be called the Brocade-Embroidered Kasaya.

Under the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's refinement, the Brocade-Embroidered Kasaya can rival ordinary top-grade primordial spiritual treasures.

Unfortunately, he encountered Ancestor Minghe.

Ancestor Minghe is an ancient powerhouse whose understanding of the Blood Sea Dao has reached the limit of a Semi-Sage, and though his comprehension of the Killing Dao falls short of the Blood River Dao, it still attains the peak of a Semi-Sage.

Even without considering spiritual treasures, Ancestor Minghe's grasp of the Dao far surpasses that of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva—not by a little, but by a great deal.

As for spiritual treasures, the Brocade-Embroidered Kasaya is a postnatal refined treasure, capable only of barely rivaling ordinary top-grade primordial spiritual treasures.

Either the Lin Yuantu or Mi Li Duo sword alone qualifies as a top-tier top-grade primordial spiritual treasure; together, they can rival the finest primordial killing treasures.

A mere Buddha-light barrier, combined with the Brocade-Embroidered Kasaya, stands no chance of stopping them.

Crack!

Without the slightest surprise, the killing aura on the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords directly tore through the Buddha-light barrier, then stabbed toward the Brocade-Embroidered Kasaya.

The Buddha-light on the kasaya fiercely clashed with the blood-light on the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords.

But due to the gap in Dao comprehension, the Buddha-light could not withstand the blood-light—it was instantly extinguished, and the highly corrosive waters of the Blood Sea directly soaked into the kasaya.

The parts of the kasaya soaked by the blood-light immediately dimmed and lost their luster.

Rip~~~

The razor-sharp Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords then tore through the Brocade-Embroidered Kasaya and stabbed straight toward the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

"Om, ma, ni, pad, me, hum!"

"Om, ma, ni, pad, me, hum!"

"Om, ma, ni, pad, me, hum!"

······

The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva continuously chanted the Six-Syllable Mantra, boundless Buddha-light pouring from his body like an endless flood, resisting and wearing down the assaults of the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords.

Under the ceaseless consumption of Buddha-light, the power within the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords quickly dwindled by ninety percent, losing their former sharpness.

Seeing this, Ancestor Minghe lightly gestured with his right hand and recalled the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords.

Shh!

The next instant, before the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva could catch his breath, the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords shot forth again from Ancestor Minghe's hands, striking toward him.

This time, the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords were not only imbued with the Killing Dao and the Blood Sea Dao, but also absorbed and gathered vast amounts of Blood Sea energy along their path.

The original pale and white hues vanished; the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords now appeared as two legendary murderous swords, as if forged from soaked blood.

Boom!

A ferocious aura spread outward; even from afar, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva felt the brutality radiating from the Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords.

Facing the returning Lin Yuantu and Mi Li Duo swords, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva immediately sat cross-legged and began reciting sutras:

"Namo Amitabha, Tathagata, Tadyatha, Amitayur, Amitayus, Sitambo, Pitambo."

This sutra was none other than the Ksitigarbha Rebirth Sutra, self-created by the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

As he chanted, boundless Buddha-light gathered behind him, slowly coalescing into a Golden Body.

The Golden Body is one of the essential spiritual arts of the Fomen.

The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva naturally excelled at it—indeed, he was exceptionally proficient.

The Golden Body he formed was not one already existing in the Fomen, but his own creation—the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Golden Body.

The boundless Buddha-light gradually receded, revealing a Golden Body clad in the Brocade-Embroidered Kasaya, holding a staff, standing upon a golden lotus platform, and cradling a Merit Jewel in its other hand.

This was the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Golden Body he had created.

It was one of the most powerful Golden Bodies in the Naishifu Sect, second only to the Supreme Golden Body.

The moment the Golden Body coalesced, the surrounding space grew heavy, as if frozen in place.

The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's title was not chosen lightly—the words "Ksitigarbha" mean: steadfast and unmoving like the earth, profound and secretive like a hidden treasury.

That is, vast and heavy as the earth, rich with boundless wisdom like a hidden treasury, capable of guiding countless sentient beings to liberation.

This Golden Body manifested the two Dao paths the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had cultivated deeply.

The Earth Dao and the Cycle of Rebirth and Liberation Dao.

Thus, it is clear that the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's ambitions were immense.

For Pingxin Niangniang's primary Dao paths are also these two.

And these two Dao paths are the core of the Earth Dao.

Residing within Gai Jiuyou's Underworld and cultivating these two Dao paths, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's intent is plain—he seeks to replace Pingxin Niangniang and become the Lord of the Underworld.
