Chapter 908: Buddha and Demon as One! Karma Fire Burns Sin!

The sins of the converted evil spirits all settled into the black portion.

Accumulated over countless sins, the black portion became more hellish than hell itself.

Any normal living being that fell into it would be corrupted and degraded by boundless sin within a single breath.

Over these years, the Earth Store Bodhisattva has indeed been converting evil spirits in the Eighteen Layers of Hell, while also enriching himself.

For Buddhism, converting souls is not a hardship, but a lucrative position.

Every converted believer becomes firewood for Buddhist disciples.

Compared to converting ordinary people, converting evil spirits is many times more difficult.

But the rewards are also many times greater.

Most evil spirits are not weak; once converted into believers, they provide far stronger power.

Most importantly, evil spirits can also provide merit and sin.

The value of merit needs no explanation.

The value of sin is also considerable, as few in the Primordial World cultivate the demonic Dao.

Thus, most people do not know the value of sin.

For those who cultivate the demonic Dao, the value of sin surpasses even that of merit.

Even ordinary people, if they could harness sin, would find its value substantial.

Having presided over the Underworld for so many years, the Earth Store Bodhisattva long ago devised methods to utilize sin.

The Eighteen Layers of Hell are a fearsome place for others, but for the Earth Store Bodhisattva, they are a true treasure.

Boom!

As soon as the Buddha realm coalesced, it began to burn.

Golden Buddhist light transformed into a brilliant golden flame, while the black sin became a deep, inky black flame.

Under the Earth Store Bodhisattva's control, the two flames flew toward Ancestor Minghe.

As they flew, the distance between them continuously shrank.

Just before reaching Ancestor Minghe, the two flames made full contact.

Two flames of utterly opposite natures should have violently clashed upon contact.

Yet the instant the Earth Store Bodhisattva's two flames touched, an invisible force descended, and under its influence, the two flames fused directly into one golden-black flame.

Buddha and Demon as One.

This was the Earth Store Bodhisattva's insight gained from presiding over the Eighteen Layers of Hell for so many years.

The force that merged the two flames was the power of the Earth Store Bodhisattva's Golden Body.

Steadfast and unmoving like the earth, serene and profound like a hidden treasury.

Steadfast and unmoving, thus able to suppress two utterly opposing flames; serene and profound, mastering infinite wisdom, thus able to harmonize Buddhist light and sin.

Unfortunately, the Earth Store Bodhisattva's Buddha-Demon Unity met Ancestor Minghe.

Just as the flame neared, a red lotus platform suddenly appeared beneath Ancestor Minghe's feet—the Twelve-Petaled Karma Red Lotus.

After the Twelve-Petaled Karma Red Lotus appeared, it ignited red karma fire.

In a certain sense, Ancestor Minghe, though seemingly utterly evil, is the greatest enemy of the demonic Dao.

Ancestor Minghe controls the most impure Nether Blood Sea of the Three Realms, yet he is, paradoxically, the purest being born from the Nether Blood Sea.

Untainted by mud, he stands in absolute opposition to the Nether Blood Sea.

From Ancestor Minghe's two companion spiritual treasures, one can discern his true nature.

Lin Yuantu and A Bi swords kill without accruing karmic retribution.

Such a trait is usually possessed only by merit-based spiritual treasures.

The Twelve-Petaled Karma Red Lotus controls boundless karma fire, specializing in burning infinite karma.

Neither of these spiritual treasures is evil.

Thus, Ancestor Minghe's true nature is not evil.

This is why, despite controlling the Nether Blood Sea for so long, Ancestor Minghe has never been corrupted or degraded by it.

The more evil a place, the more sacred the flowers that bloom within it.

Ancestor Minghe is one such sacred flower blooming from the Nether Blood Sea.

Of course, purity refers to essence, not personality or nature.

In terms of personality and nature, Ancestor Minghe is certainly no virtuous being.

In the Primordial World's ruthless survival-of-the-fittest realm, there are no truly virtuous beings; even if any exist, most are merely pretending—like Buddhism.

The only true virtuous being is Pingxin Niangniang.

This is why Pingxin Niangniang is called the Great Virtue.

Xiong Xiong's karma fire is the very enemy of sin.

Before the golden-black flame could draw near, the karma fire directly ignited the sin flame.

Boom!

The black portion within the golden-black flame suddenly burned with extreme ferocity, emitting a sizzling sound as if fiercely resisting the karma fire.

As the black flame was burned away by karma fire, the golden-black flame became unbalanced—gold increased, black diminished.

"Detonate!"

Seeing the outcome, the Earth Store Bodhisattva unhesitatingly chose to detonate the golden-black flame.

Boom—Boom—Boom—

Buddhist light, sin, and karma fire interwove like a nuclear bomb exploding, unleashing a terrifying shockwave.

The blood sea surrounding the Eighteen Layers of Hell was instantly vaporized by more than half.

Around the eighteen layers of Hell, the specially reinforced space was also blown open into a massive void.

Ancestor Minghe was unharmed, protected by the Twelve-Petaled Karma Crimson Lotus, and the shockwave from the explosion did not affect him.

Even if it had affected him, it would not have mattered—he could discard this body at any moment.

Whoosh!

In the instant the space was torn open, the Buddha-land behind Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha burned violently once more.

Countless devotees prayed, countless evil spirits wailed.

These prayers and wails all transformed into energy, flowing into the Golden Body behind Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha.
