Chapter 913: Annihilate the Fomen! Force Out Ancestor Hongjun

~3 min read 514 words

In fact, it was true: before Ancestor Minghe surrounded and killed the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Pingxin Niangniang had already, in silent accord, temporarily entrusted the Eighteen Levels of Hell to the Daoist sect.

The most urgent matter now is to annihilate the Fomen and thereby force out Ancestor Hongjun's hidden moves; all other gains and losses are unimportant.

As long as Ancestor Hongjun can be suppressed and the Heavenly Dao's blockade on the Earthly Dao and Human Dao lifted,

then the entire Gai Jiuyou Underworld will return to the Wu Clan. Pingxin Niangniang has no objection to temporarily granting part of Gai Jiuyou's interests to others.

The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, utterly plunged into despair, was forced to make one final gamble.

Boom!

Behind him, the Buddha realm suddenly collapsed entirely under the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's control; all Buddhist light and karmic sins ignited violently, transforming into two beams—one black, one gold—that surged into the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Golden Body.

The entire Golden Body of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, bathed in the dual radiance of gold and black, remained half golden while the other half turned utterly black.

This was the final form of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Golden Body: the unity of Buddha and Demon.

The cultivation of the Fomen differs little from that of the Demon Dao; Buddha and Demon exist only in a single thought.

Unlike ordinary Fomen followers, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva chose to redeem demons.

Demons are inherently far stronger than ordinary believers, yet their redemption is also far more difficult.

To fully redeem a demon, one must completely erode its karmic sins.

Erasing karmic sins requires immense time and patience.

Most Fomen disciples take the path of forced redemption, lacking both the time and energy to slowly redeem demons.

Thus, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva also chose forced redemption of demons.

The karmic sins of demons redeemed by force were never eroded.

These unerased karmic sins had to be borne by the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

After forced redemption, demons became the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's puppets.

Everything belonging to a puppet belongs to its master—karmic sins included.

Over the years spent guarding the Eighteen Levels of Hell, the number of demons the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva redeemed was incalculable, and so too were the karmic sins he had to bear.

These karmic sins should long ago have crushed the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Yet the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was also a genius—he chose to cultivate both Buddha and Demon paths simultaneously.

To ordinary cultivators, karmic sins are poison; to demons, they are the finest resource.

Cultivating both Buddha and Demon paths naturally eliminated the fear of being overwhelmed by karmic sins.

As for the changes in his nature brought by Buddha-Demon cultivation, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva paid no mind.

After all, from the moment he decided to forcibly redeem his followers, his actions had already been no different from those of the Demon Dao.

"Heh, who would have thought that the mighty Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva secretly cultivates the Demon Dao? Yet, come to think of it, the Fomen's methods have always been much like those of the Demon Dao—so secretly cultivating the Demon Dao isn't surprising at all."
