Chapter 193: Asura's Self-Creation and Self-Destruction

When Nüwa, Jieyin, Zhunti, and others attained the Dao, their merit was measured in hundreds of thousands of mu.

Not to mention attaining sainthood, he couldn't even sever his own corpse.

In an instant, Minghe Laozu was completely dumbfounded!

He stared at this scene with a face as still as water, his facial muscles twitching incessantly.

This... the gap from what was expected is just too huge.

Meanwhile, countless beings in the outside world witnessed this scene, and they too wore strange expressions.

After a long while, he finally could no longer hold back.

"Haha... Is this what they call attaining the Dao and becoming a sage?"

"One move fierce as a tiger, and look at the battle record—250!"

"What a guy, making such a heaven-shaking commotion, all just to break through to mid-stage Quasi-Sage?!"

"I can't hold back anymore—I'm dying of laughter......"

The laughter of all beings was, for Minghe Laozu, utterly heart-piercing.

His face was already bright red, extremely embarrassed.

Disgraceful!

So disgraceful!

Finally, at some point, regaining his composure, Minghe Laozu glared angrily at the nine heavens above.

"Ah... why is this so?!"

"The Heavenly Dao is unfair! I clearly created a race unseen in the world, so why can't I attain the Dao and become a sage?!"

Minghe Laozu's defenses were completely shattered!

Burning with rage and exasperated, he even forgot the so-called dignity of the Heavenly Dao, roaring to the heavens and angrily questioning it.

But his voice echoed throughout heaven and earth, yet there was no response.

Its only effect was to make the expressions of all beings even more colorful.

Minghe Laozu was filled with hatred and anger, full of unwillingness.

At this very moment, the beings of the Asura lineage he had created were still full of gratitude, gathering around Minghe Laozu, as if wanting to say something.

Instantly, Minghe Laozu's face showed a look of disgust.

"Hmph, get lost at once!"

Minghe Laozu looked at the successive figures before him with a dark, bluish face.

The beings of the Asura race, although tall in stature,

however, the men are extraordinarily ugly, hideous and terrifying, belonging to the "night-stop infants' crying" level of ugliness.

while the women are absolutely beautiful, indescribable, every gesture seemingly exuding myriad charms that bewitch the hearts and minds of beings.

Whether male or female, their eyes show no trace of kindness, only a ferocious aura that seizes the heart and soul.

But Minghe Laozu no longer cared about any of this.

Since he cannot attain the Dao and become a sage, what use are these Asuras?!

In his fury, he even swung a palm, sending the Asura beings before him flying straight into the depths of the Sea of Blood.

"Hmph, since they are a useless race."

"Let them arise and perish on their own."

Clearly, at this moment Minghe Laozu loathes the Asura race he created to an extreme degree.

"Only by not seeing them can my heart be at peace!"

Within the endless Sea of Blood, an oppressive atmosphere spread to the extreme.

And drawn by Minghe Laozu's actions,

at this moment, in the Taisu Heaven, within the Nüwa Imperial Palace.

At a certain moment.

Nüwa, who had been closing her eyes in meditation, also slowly opened her eyes.

Her beautiful eyes flickered slightly, piercing the endless void, and Nüwa saw the scene within the endless Sea of Blood.

However, it was only a brief glance.

Thereafter, Nüwa withdrew her gaze.

From beginning to end, there was no fluctuation in her eyes.

Immediately thereafter, Nüwa closed her eyes again, immersing herself in the profound and mysterious rhythm of the sage's Dao.

In the Western Heaven and Earth,

Chen Ku had already heard Minghe Laozu's Dao transmission and noticed the scene in the endless Sea of Blood.

Regarding Minghe Laozu's failure to attain the Dao, he showed no surprise.

But he also had no mockery or expression of watching a joke.

"Alas, suffering, suffering!"

"This is the helplessness felt by cultivators in the face of the Heavenly Dao's great trend."

"Only when destiny is decreed can one succeed."

Otherwise, no matter how hard you strive, in the end it will be as futile as trying to draw water with a bamboo basket.

Chen Ku's words were both for the Nether River Old Ancestor and an expression of his sorrow.

At the same time, he was also sighing over the helplessness of countless cultivators in the world.

He clearly understood that the Nether River Old Ancestor's creation of the Asura clan was in line with the heavenly mandate.

But his failure to attain the Dao, ending only in defeat, was likewise part of the heavenly mandate.

The Nether River Old Ancestor only heard Hongjun speak of 'merit as the path to the Dao'.

Yet he did not know that without the Primordial Purple Qi, there would be no heaven-ordained sage position—how could he possibly earn the Heavenly Dao's acknowledgment?!

Just as Chen Ku was pondering in his heart.

In the distance, figures arrived one after another, their faces full of awe, rushing to the foot of Mount Sumeru.

We congratulate the two sages on their attainment of the Dao!

Today, the two great sages of the West have appeared; truly, their divine might is unparalleled, shaking ancient and modern times!

Haha, good; the two sages will henceforth be the supreme beings of our Western heaven and earth.

Those who arrived were none other than the mighty experts of the West.

After all, the Western heaven and earth are boundlessly vast.

Moreover, Chen Ku and the others continually revived the Western qi fortune, spiritual energy, and so on.

Thus, they have now produced some cultivators of considerable ability.

At this moment, every person's face burned with fervent awe.

To personally witness the sages' emergence is in itself a great honor.

What's more, within a single day, two great sages have appeared in the Western heaven and earth.

This lets all beings of the West clearly see that the West is growing stronger again, with an arrogant, overbearing trend.

How could they not be delighted?!

As for this, Jieyin and Zhunti also showed smiles, proud and self-satisfied.

However, Jieyin hid nothing and immediately spoke:

Hehe...

We were able to successfully attain the Dao this time thanks to our disciple.

The proposal to establish Buddhism was likewise the idea of Chen Ku's disciple.

This time, our disciple has made the greatest contribution.

Zhunti beside him also nodded repeatedly.

Regarding this matter, they had nothing to conceal.

After all, their disciple (or junior disciple) is so outstanding, it also brings glory to Jieyin and Zhunti—why would they need to hide it?!

Upon hearing this, everyone present was filled with astonishment and regret.

Oh? It turns out to be Senior Chen Ku?

Heavens, to single-handedly bring about the emergence of two great sages—what astonishing talent and brilliance!

Sages themselves are unparalleled through the ages, and Senior Chen Ku is likewise without equal.

Now Chen Ku's strength is worthy of being called 'Senior' by all.

As they spoke, one after another shocked gaze fell upon Chen Ku.

Hearing the crowd's astonishment, Chen Ku gave a light smile.

Hehe, you all overpraise me.

That the two masters were able to become sages is likewise due to an opportunity.

What I did was merely to cast a brick to attract jade.

Chen Ku appeared quite modest.

Although he pointed out that Jieyin and Zhunti should establish Buddhism,

but the true profound meaning of Buddhism was actually derived and comprehended by Jieyin and Zhunti themselves.

The crowd had no objections!

If it were an ordinary matter, perhaps it would be fine.

But when it concerns attaining the Dao and becoming a sage, even if Chen Ku truly merely cast a brick to attract jade, it is still shocking and cannot be ignored.

After a long while, the crowd's exclamations gradually subsided.

Then another mighty one looked at Jieyin and Zhunti, asking doubtfully:

May I ask the two sages?

Now that Buddhism has been established, which sage is to be revered?

Or rather, within Buddhism, the Buddha is supreme; which one is the Buddha?

During the process of the two attaining the Dao, the profound meaning of Buddhism had already spread throughout heaven and earth.

Thus, the people of the West also came to understand the profundity of Buddhism.

Buddha!

It can be said to be the supreme existence within Buddhism, and also the leader.

Upon hearing this, Jieyin, Zhunti, and Chen Ku all gave a slight start.

Indeed!

Previously, they had not even considered this question.

Chen Ku inevitably fell into thought.

You should know that previously, Jieyin and Zhunti, although they addressed each other as senior brothers,

But their strength is hardly different.

Now they have both attained the Dao and become Sages; letting either lower their rank seems somewhat inappropriate.

But before Chen Ku could think of a solution.

All that was heard was Zhunti suddenly speaking.

Hehe, is there any need to say more?

Senior Brother Jieyin should be the Buddha Forefather of our Buddhism.

And I wish to be the Buddha Mother, henceforth to be called Zhunti Buddha Mother.

Upon hearing this, everyone present fell into thought, pondering the meaning of the two words 'Buddha Mother'.

Meanwhile, Chen Ku stared, his face full of astonishment.

Good fellow!

So the so-called Buddha Mother actually comes about like this?!

Before this, he had been somewhat curious about what the Zhunti Buddha Mother meant and why he had obtained such a rank.

Now, however, he gradually came to understand.

The so-called Zhunti Buddha Mother does not represent any particular gender.

Rather, it means that the duties of Jieyin and Zhunti differ.

Jieyin Buddha Forefather, who may also be called Amitabha Buddha, is the supreme symbol of Buddhism.

The two characters 'Jieyin' also carry the meaning of guiding sentient beings to rebirth in the Pure Land.

While Zhunti Buddha Mother is responsible for purifying people's minds and eliminating karmic obstacles, etc.

Put simply, they both do this to strengthen the Buddhist Gate, merely distinguishing different ranks.

Thinking this, Chen Ku did not say anything more.

On the contrary, his expression changed and Chen Ku spoke:

Master, Uncle!

Now that Buddhism has been established, we should also unify our cultivation methods.

In my view, we should compile the wondrous methods of the Buddhist Gate, take this as a standard, and widely spread the wondrous Dao of our Buddhism.

Hearing this, Jieyin and Zhunti were startled, then nodded with satisfied faces.

Not bad, not bad!

Your words are quite correct; it ought to be so.

Formerly, Jieyin and Zhunti had not yet become Sages; even if their cultivation methods were somewhat mottled and complex, it was not blameworthy.

But now they have become Sages and established the Sage's Dao Lineage; they can no longer be so.

We need to determine the most fundamental methods and divine abilities of the West in order to manifest the majesty of the Sage's Dao Lineage.

After a moment's contemplation, Jieyin spoke:

If so, today we will transmit to you the Marvelous Flower Heart Sutra, the Infinite Life Sutra, the Method of the Sixteen-Foot Golden Body, as well as the Tathagata's Divine Palm and the Buddha Kingdom in the Palm, etc.

Jieyin expounded one kind of profound and marvelous method and extraordinary divine ability after another.

They have already attained the Dao; these methods and divine abilities are also the most in line with the wondrous meaning of the Buddhist Gate.

Hearing this, the myriad great beings of the West were overjoyed beyond expectation.

But before Jieyin and Zhunti could begin transmitting the Dao,

Meanwhile, Chen Ku likewise did not hide anything and spoke:

Hehe, besides that, I also have some methods that are more suitable for the cultivation of western beings.

Upon hearing his words, not only the myriad great beings of the West,

Even Jieyin and Zhunti wore looks of curiosity.

Oh? Disciple, what other methods do you have?

Quickly, tell us.

According to common sense, as Chen Ku is a disciple of Jieyin, everything he cultivates should have been transmitted by Jieyin.

But Jieyin clearly knows that this disciple of his often exceeds expectations, making even himself unable to gauge.

Therefore, Jieyin also has no idea what kind of method Chen Ku is speaking of.

Chen Ku smiled and began to speak, enumerating his treasures.

First, this is a method called the Eight Nine Mysterious Skill.

This method allows transformations and changes, an endless wondrous way; as the saying goes, having mastered the marvel of the Eight Nine Mysterious, one can roam freely in the world.

Chen Ku spoke at length.

What he did not say was that this Eight Nine Mysterious Skill is precisely a method he derived by using the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Skill as a foundation.

Of course, this is also because, thanks to his memories of two lifetimes, Chen Ku knows such a method exists, allowing him to deduce it so easily.

This method shall be the Protective Teaching Method of Buddhism in the future!

Moreover, there is more.

Furthermore, there are also the Heavenly Eye, Heavenly Ear, Knowing Others' Minds, Recollection of Past Lives, End of Outflows, and Spiritual Steps.

These Six Divine Abilities are divine abilities that everyone in our Buddhist Gate must cultivate.

And there is also the Six Syllable Mantra...

All around, everyone was completely dumbfounded!
