Chapter 24: with translation of chapter title
Qi and Nüwa quickly avoided the scene, rushing back to Yunmeng Ze.
When they looked back, the battle was still ongoing, but the projection of the God-Reverse had almost faded to inaudibility.
The willow branches were still extending rapidly; the black flames were far fewer than before, only a few scattered specks remained burning on the branches.
Upon reaching the edge of Yunmeng Ze, the two found the grand formation still open, merely transformed into a shroud of mist and clouds.
At that moment, a willow branch extended from the space beside the formation, its tender green new leaves bursting with vigorous vitality.
Hollow Heart Willow
Di Jun and Fuxi also emerged from the formation via transmission, guarding Nüwa at her side.
the Great One
Thus we have one entry for the Great One covering both the Great One and the Great One
Di Jun's voice carried a sense of urgency, from which one could hear the pressure he felt in this situation.
Grand Harmony
As he spoke, strands of golden flame ignited on Di Jun's body, gathering power awaiting release.
Amidst everyone's tension, a Daoist walked out from the willows.
the Great Way
Upon hearing the sound and looking over, one saw the Daoist clothed in a blue-green Daoist robe embroidered with willow branches swaying in the wind, holding a whisk, with his brows and hair bound together, pinned up by a single willow branch.
His face was that of a youth, his bearing spirited, the Daoist aura flowing about him; he was indeed a fine countenance, a natural-born banished immortal!
This person, among the gods that Qi has seen, has the most handsome appearance, and is also the most unfathomable.
Heavenly Emperor
But one feels all the more that He is unfathomably deep; He stands right before you, yet you cannot sense where He is.
Primordial Beginning Realm
Supreme God of the Great One
Supreme Emperor Nine-Headed Clan
Heavenly Sovereign Azure Separation Clan
We pay our respects to the Great God.
Yang Mei smiled with satisfaction and said, "There is no need for such ceremony; you and I are born of heaven and earth, fellow seekers of the Way, together pursuing the Great Dao—where does the idea of a Great God come from?"
The four heard this and did not know how to answer.
In the end, only Qi stepped forward and said:
"We dare not behave thus; having heard that the Dao has its order and that skills have their specializations, the Great God is a forerunner, and we must not neglect courtesy."
"Haha, you young friends are also courteous; it appears that among the innately divine sages there will be heirs, and the Godly Way will prosper greatly."
Yang Mei was quite pleased; as an innately divine sage, when discussing the Dao in terms of order, although we are peers, there are still distinctions.
When peers discuss matters, although it is acceptable, who would not wish to be respected?
Initially he followed the Three Sovereigns, since like him he was an innately divine sage, proud and arrogant, wishing to discuss matters as equals, but the Supreme Emperor punished him several times.
Clearly it was the August Earth Emperor who first said that, yet he never objected, yet he is so petty.
Seeing that several people understood propriety, upon recalling these events, he finally felt joy well up in his heart.
He also felt a tinge of regret, thinking that if he himself had been similarly prudent back then, he would surely have suffered less hardship.
But the result is that the one he was closest to turned out to be none other than that petty Supreme Emperor.
After the Three Sovereigns had all departed, the one he missed most was that Supreme Emperor who would find excuses to spar with him and then take the chance to beat him up.
These words were what the Supreme Emperor originally said to him.
Now he repeats these words to these outstanding descendants, also fearing that he might perish in the great calamity, wishing to leave some inheritance for the Godly Way.
Seeing the four still standing there dazed, he again smiled and said, "Is this how you treat guests?"
The four then hurriedly invited Yang Mei to enter Cloud Dream Marsh.
Upon reaching the lotus pond, Yang Mei saw the water shining with a uniform light, the scene of lotus blossoms blooming everywhere, and again praised, "This is a fine blessed land."
"If you, senior, like it, you may freely reside here; although Cloud Dream Marsh is small, it is also a blessed land."
Qi extended the invitation. If Cloud Dream Marsh were to have such a great god dwell there long-term, it would also be an opportunity for Cloud Dream Marsh.
"I am not yet so low as to contend with you juniors for a Dao Chang; but if you ever feel inclined, you may also come stay a few days."
Yang Mei walked toward the lakeside pavilion, sat down, and looked around with interest.
Qi then brought lotus seeds, fruits, and fine wine, and Di Jun, the Great One, and the others also took their seats.
Yang Mei saw that everyone had gathered, without further words, his gaze fixed on the Great One.
"Will you be willing to follow me and study?"
He asked this very directly, getting straight to the point.
Seeing his eager heart, both being individuals who walk the path of supreme singularity, Yang Mei took a liking to the Great One, feeling that his future achievements would not fall short of his own.
Meanwhile, the Great One looked around at the crowd, and without waiting for anyone to persuade him, he directly refused, saying, "Senior, sorry; I am now on the correct path, and I have close friends by my side, with dharma, wealth, companions, and land all complete, and I do not yet wish to part."
Yang Mei was somewhat startled, but he did not blame him.
Back then, if he too had had such friends, he surely would not have followed the Three Sovereigns.
Now, seeing the Great One, it is as if he were seeing his former self, full of vigor and high spirits.
No longer speaking further, he ate a few lotus seeds, then shared a pot of fine wine with everyone to relieve fatigue, and waved his hand to signal that the items on the table be cleared away.
When Qi had cleared away the fruits and wine and returned once more, he saw Yang Mei smiling gently, sitting cross-legged in the pavilion.
He gestured for Qi to come over, had everyone sit cross-legged to the side, and then listened as he said, "The Supreme God Taiyi is the primordial realm, created by the Supreme Emperor Jiutou among the Three Sovereigns, and perfected by the Heavenly Emperor Cangli."
The Great One, therefore also known as the Great One, is the origin of all things in the universe, the Chaos before heaven and earth were separated…
As Yang Mei began to speak, the Dao resonance rang like a great bell, golden lotuses surged from the ground, and heavenly flowers scattered.
The rosy mists of the heavens danced like celestial maidens, and the sun, moon, and stars cast their reflections within.
On the water sprites were born, ordinary wood turned into lingzhi grass, condensed light and flying colors, dew turned into pearls.
Heavenly horses were seen treading the void, carrying flowers and fruits in their mouths; on the ground white apes offered peaches, and spiritual mist filled the air.
The lotuses in the pond all bloomed in full, and heaven and earth were dyed with their color.
Duckweed floated on the water, the lotus like jade-green placed upon a precious mirror.
The lotus root sent forth new shoots, stones produced jade seeds, and the black earth cleared to reveal white roots.
The Way of the Great One, Yangmei lectured for three thousand years, then another hundred, before the people finally awoke and the miraculous visions faded.
The stone table in the pavilion was struck, and Qi hurriedly took out melons, fruits, wine, and food.
Everyone present performed the disciple's bow to Yangmei in thanks.
But they were avoided by Yangmei.
"You have already refused before; that means we have no affinity, so do not adopt this attitude."
"Come, keep me company drinking and making merry, rest awhile, and after three hundred years we shall speak again of the Heavenly Net Venerable God."
Everyone no longer performed the gesture of taking a master; cultivators, the importance of sincerity is most clear.
Since these words have been spoken, there is no need to think further.
At this banquet, Qi and the Great One often played music beside, and Fuxi occasionally strummed the zither at the side.
Everyone sang in harmony, and even Yangmei kept the beat.
Merry talk and laughter, as if forgetting the great calamity of heaven and earth, only the people of Cloud Dream Marsh remained.
Happy times are always fleeting; three hundred years passed in an instant.
"You actually live such carefree days; I really should have pursued a dao companion back then."
"Rather than follow the Nine-Headed Clan to create some sort of happy land for all beings!"
Facing Yangmei's remarks, everyone merely smiled and said nothing.
Because they know that if it happens again, Yangmei will surely follow suit once more.
Yangmei also knows this.
PS: Adding an extra chapter one; subsequent depending on circumstances, I discovered I overestimated my typing speed! Everyone good night, but there are still nine chapters I won't forget! 1/10, still lacking nine chapters.
