307. Chapter 307 Preparing a lawsuit, the West again adds calamity
「Those two who don't want noodle skins, previously thought they had become somewhat law-abiding, who would have thought that in just this little time, they've reverted to their old ways again。」
「Who knows whether they truly have never seen the world, or whether Xifang Dalu is really this poor, not even a few spiritual grasses to be found。」
On Kunlun Mountain, Taiyi gazed at the devastation before him, gritting his teeth as he said.
In recent days, Jieyin and Zhunti, under the guise of paying a visit, went to Kunlun Mountain to visit the Three Pure Ones; each day they either wandered around the mountain or went down the clear spring.
Wherever they passed, they left not a single spiritual object; upon each discovery, they exclaimed in amazement, their mouths full of praise, directly stating that Kunlun Mountain was a place of outstanding people and spiritual land, rare under heaven.
This provoked the Three Pure Ones, who, although they did not look favorably upon the two's actions, also found it hard to tell them to leave, and could only let the two remain in Kunlun Mountain.
Who would have thought that today they actually harvested Taiyi's Dao Chang, crossed the border, leaving a stretch of red earth, pits everywhere, truly provoking Taiyi to rare anger.
「I don't care how the Three Pure Ones view it; these two cannot remain in Kunlun Mountain any longer, otherwise how could I have peace! 」"
As soon as his words fell, Taiyi headed straight to the Three Pure Ones' Dao Chang, which occupied the most spiritually vibrant spot in Kunlun Mountain, yet allowed guests to sweep the autumn wind onto his own head—how could Taiyi bear this?
Just as Taiyi was proceeding, he saw several streaks of spiritual light also flying toward the location of the Three Pure Ones' Dao Chang. Taiyi, unable to help but wonder, said: 「Friends, is there some great event in Kunlun of which I am unaware? Today, how could we have leisure to go to the Three Pure Ones' Dao friends? 」"
The newcomer said angrily: 「Jieyin and Zhunti truly have no shame; as the leaders of Eastern Kunlun, the Three Pure Ones actually let them act wantonly, sweeping the autumn wind onto our Dao Chang—if we don't demand an explanation this time, aren't we just letting ourselves be bullied! 」"
Only then did Taiyi realize that not only had Jieyin and Zhunti ravaged his Dao Chang, but his anger also increased a few more points.
Upon seeing the Three Pure Ones, everyone was dumbfounded, only hearing Origin Beginning Daoist ask:
「Why are you not cultivating at home, yet coming with such a mighty aura, looking like you intend to question my guilt, and coming to my Dao Chang? 」"
Taiyi, who also had some prestige in Eastern Kunlun, then spoke: 「This time we came not to seek the three Dao friends, but specifically to find Jieyin and Zhunti, who, as guests in Kunlun Mountain, have ruined our Dao Chang—what reason is this? 」"
Origin Beginning Daoist's heart gave a sudden jolt; recalling that early this morning the two had hastily bade farewell, he now understood the reason.
At that time they secretly rejoiced, thinking they had finally sent away these two plague gods, never expecting that such disaster would still remain!
Looking at the many innate deities before him, Origin Beginning Daoist also knew this matter could not be lightly forgiven, but he did not know where the two had gone—what should be done?
After a moment's hesitation, Origin Beginning Daoist helplessly said: 「Friends, you have come too late; those two departed early this morning in haste, and given their speed, they have likely already left Kunlun Mountain by now. 」"
The people present were dumbfounded, looking at each other, hearts filled with mixed feelings, not knowing how to express themselves; after one person hesitated a bit, they still shouted at Origin Beginning Daoist: 「We don't care; those two came to Eastern Kunlun to seek you, the Three Pure Ones, and during this period you were their hosts, and moreover you share a sectarian bond. 」"
「This matter is the transgression of your Three Pure Ones' junior disciples; within your Dao Chang they also reaped abundantly, yet you did not restrain them. 」"
「Our losses must be compensated by someone; since they are your friends, our losses should also be made up by you. 」"
「We cannot have your junior disciples cause trouble and then expect us to make up for it—what reason is this? We are all cultivators, with no time to pursue them. 」"
Upon hearing this, Origin Beginning Daoist frowned, yet did not know how to rebut; after all, what the other side said indeed had some merit, and they had no connection with Jieyin and Zhunti, naturally unwilling to suffer losses for no reason.
But Origin Beginning Daoist himself was also unwilling, for he likewise disliked Jieyin and Zhunti, yet they indeed held the title of fellow brothers, making it hard for him to ignore them.
Facing the multitude of deities arriving with great might, Origin Beginning Daoist could only helplessly say: 「Friends, what losses do you have? Report them one by one; given the current upheaval of heaven and earth, my three fellow brothers are not wealthy either, and we can only do our best to compensate. 」"
「Moreover, our attitude toward them is surely evident to all; we merely refrain from outright rejection out of courtesy, hoping you will also consider our neighborly bond and excuse us somewhat. 」"
Upon Origin Beginning Daoist saying this, everyone's hearts felt somewhat relieved; this time, with the great change of heaven and earth, innate things are no longer as before and can grow prolifically.
Regarding Origin Beginning's words, they naturally believed it as well, and could not engage in extortion; they simply reported their own losses one by one.
Fortunately, only one day had passed, so Jieyin and Zhunti could not have taken too much; the losses, Origin Beginning Daoist could still accept, but after this incident he came to utterly despise the two.
At this moment, at the foot of Kunlun Mountain, Jieyin and Zhunti were all smiles, their words full of cheer, only to hear Zhunti say:
「This journey to the Eastern Continent has indeed been a bountiful harvest; truly, it is the elder brother's lofty strategies, having scouted early and departed swiftly. 」"
「After this harvest, the practitioners of Xifang Dalu can again have a period of pure cultivation. 」"
Jieyin merely smiled and said:
「This conduct will likely incur the wrath of the Three Pure Ones, making future interactions difficult; henceforth such acts should be done less, otherwise in the Eastern Continent there will be no place for us to stand. 」"
「If it were not for the current poverty of the West, with no further income, their practice would likely stagnate, and I would not wish to do such a thing that destroys the future. 」"
Zhunti, on the other hand, cared nothing for this, saying nonchalantly: 「The Three Pure Ones and the Eastern innate deities have always looked down on us; now we are merely collecting a little interest, and if the opportunity arises, I will do it again! 」"
「They were never our friends to begin with; even if we anger them, what harm is there? If they seek something from us, I will certainly not let them off lightly. 」"
「I will not stop until I have eaten my fill! 」"
The two exchanged a glance, both laughing loudly as they departed; with this harvest, their faces no longer showed any sorrow.
「Just, elder brother, where should we go next? This harvest was quite abundant; why not return to Xifang Dalu? 」"
Zhunti asked, and Jieyin merely smiled in response: 「The West naturally must be returned to, but I have already calculated that at the Five Zhuang Observatory, the ginseng fruit trees must now be ripe. 」"
「Since we will have to pass through here anyway, why not pay another visit? Dao friend Hongyun is most warm and hospitable; surely they will not refuse. 」"
Meanwhile, as Jieyin and Zhunti chatted and laughed, the many innate deities of Eastern Kunlun grew angrier the more they thought, and they sought out Taiyi again, wishing to discuss with him how to retaliate.
Taiyi also harbored some resentment, naturally agreeing; suddenly one of them seemed to think of something and said: 「Only ten thousand years remain before the Heavenly Court's grand convocation; we might as well, at that time, file a lawsuit in the Heavenly Court—even if the Heavenly Court does not act, it could still damage their reputation. 」"
「At least after this, they will no longer be able to engage in deceit and trickery in the Eastern Continent, which would also restore a patch of tranquility to the Eastern Continent. 」"
Upon hearing this, everyone praised without end; since the other side had no shame to begin with, they would strip it completely away. Meanwhile, in Xifang Dalu, a person walked across the wasteland, traversing mountains and rivers, clad in tattered garments, yet their whole being was suffused with Daoic resonance.
Wherever they passed, countless beings followed, trailing behind like walking corpses, yet their faces were full of madness.
During this period they spoke not a word, made no sound; emaciated like a dried corpse, each step increased their aura somewhat, yet their decadent qi also increased a bit.
Ordinary beings who had never cultivated, after only a few days, were already near immortality, yet observing their lifespan, there remained little of it.
Only see the person ahead, within whose body ten quarreling voices sounded, their speech vulgar beyond compare, yet like demonic music pouring into the ears, making one unwilling to miss a single bit.
Only hear one of those voices curse: 「You six heavenly dead ghosts are all fools, actually so easily captured, and still you deceive and conceal from us—truly you are not filial sons! 」"
Another voice would curse:
「What good are you five ghosts? We merely made no sound, and we never said we were the six heavenly dead ghosts; when you were captured, the other three ghosts didn't utter a word either! 」"
「Precisely for this reason, now the five viscera ghosts have gathered four, yet we see no affection among you, and they too remained silent—how is it that you only keep grabbing us and not letting go? 」"
「Pah, if it weren't for you six stupid fools, how could we have any strength to resist at all……」"
Within their chest and abdomen, shouts and curses filled the air, the arguing continued without cease, just like that walking person, with no pause at all.
Amidst their quarreling, from behind the following beings came the sounds of several collapsing, yet no sound of trampling was heard.
Only see those who had fallen, having just touched the ground, were immediately torn apart and eaten by the same followers beside them.
There was never any chewing motion during that time; it seemed to melt as soon as it entered the mouth. As the fallen person was devoured, the surrounding eaters' momentum grew a bit stronger, and they also gained considerable vitality.
Western myriad races, shamans, and followers.
myriad race people
Moreover, there are moments of clarity when one turns to flee, only to be blocked by the surrounding myriad peoples, and finally once again becomes immersed in walking.
The leader arrived at a vast mountain, and the originally arguing people immediately fell silent, sinking into stillness.
And as they gradually ventured deeper into the forest, the originally quiet atmosphere suddenly changed, with countless heartbeats thumping, which then gradually fell into unison.
And the leader finally spoke at this moment: 'My heart ought to return to its place; we are originally one, why hide it so painfully?'
The surroundings remained silent, except for the people's heartbeats growing ever more violent, with no other sound.
Suddenly countless beings collapsed, their hearts stilled; the leader paid no heed, until all the followers had died, when a voice spoke: 'Since you are unaffected and can still speak, surely the Six Heavenly Fiends and the remaining four organs have returned to their places, right?'
Six Desires and the Dao
Great Devil
Great Devil
I too am unwilling about this, but the thought of the Six Desires has now fallen into outsiders' hands; if I do not seek you first, I will likely not obtain it.
But if I seek you first, even if the Six Desires return to their places, it will still sow disaster; tell me, what should I do?
That voice gave no reply; only after a long while did the great demon speak again: 'I have come to seek you this time out of necessity; only by first uniting with you can we enter the Grand Primordial Dao, and thus retrieve the Six Desires.'
the whole Great Dao and the Divine Dao
attaining the Dao, calamity, and dying at dusk
Silence continued in the field, the great demon also remained silent; after a long while, a throbbing heartbeat suddenly sounded from within the great demon's body.
The great demon merely smiled at this, obviously having anticipated it; the beings collapsed around also, following the heartbeat's sound, turned into streams of essence that fell into the great demon's mouth.
The great demon's aura then swelled, only to return to emptiness thereafter, as it chanted from its mouth: 'The Great Dao is not lightly taken; all living beings are medicine.'
This morning clouds obscure the sun, and the demon waves again surge.
Great Devil has achieved the Hunyuan Dao
Five Zhuang Temple, Hongyun, Zhenyuanzi, Jieyin Zhunti, and Ginseng Fruit
Even the ginseng fruit that had just been bitten slipped from his hand, fell into the earth and vanished; seeing this, Hongyun asked doubtfully: 'Jieyin Zhunti Dao friends, what has happened that could frighten you two so?'
Both Jieyin and Zhunti knitted their brows, their faces showing distress; only Jieyin spoke with difficulty: 'I dare not deceive you Dao friends; just now I suddenly felt the heavens and earth grow dim, and Xifang Dalu may face another calamity in this lifetime.'
Zhunti beside them also added with a bitter face: 'Just now a sudden feeling warned us; I fear this disaster is aimed at my fellow disciples; judging by its intensity, it will likely be hard to avoid.'
Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi exchanged a glance, unsure whether their words were true, yet recalling their past deeds, they thought it somewhat credible that the ginseng fruit in hand would fall.
After a brief thought, Hongyun then spoke to console:
You two Dao friends need not panic; since there was a sudden warning, there must be a countermeasure; the present plan is still to first find out who is targeting us.
With the two of us assisting in divining the heavenly secrets, it will surely have nowhere to hide.
Ps: For you guys I turned down a girl who wanted to treat me to a meal; I suppose you'll understand later, hehe. (End of chapter)
