Although these two are constantly at odds with the Wu Clan on Xifang Dalu, their dedication to Xifang Dalu is truly worthy of admiration.
At present, Jieyin and Zhunti have suffered such great humiliation; this Kunlun wandering immortal Taiyi will likely become the executioner of all beings in Xifang Dalu.
The ancestral witches fell silent for a moment, while elsewhere they chatted heatedly; above on the high seats, Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi also whispered quietly, only to hear Hongyun say:
This Daoist friend Taiyi is truly a person of courage; Jieyin and Zhunti, in Xifang Dalu, have been deceiving and cheating, saying 'this item is fated with the West,' yet who knows how many spiritual treasures they have taken from the Eastern Continent.
I formerly felt sympathy, but now I find him detestable; finally someone has stepped forward, and after this assembly I shall protect him a bit.
Zhenyuanzi beside him frantically urged:
Do not meddle further; times are not what they were, and your friends have nearly all died because of the Heavenly Court.
If you keep doing this thankless, arduous task, then in the Primordial Wasteland only you and I will bear the burden!
Jieyin and Zhunti are not to be taken lightly; both are Primordial Chaos Dao cultivators, among the very top few in the Primordial Wasteland!
Moreover, Jieyin is destined to become a Heaven-appointed Saint; if you offend him now, where will you have a place to remain in the future?
Your Huoyun Cave cannot withstand their ravages; even if I hold the Earth Scripture, together we would still be no match!
Hongyun acted as if he hadn't heard, not only refusing Zhenyuanzi's advice but instead advising Zhenyuanzi.
How could we let such a righteous, outspoken person come to harm? If this continues, where would there be any justice in the Primordial Wasteland?
I see this person as extraordinary, his future achievements limitless; if we do not lend him aid, would we not be letting such a talented youth perish?
Furthermore, we once aided the West, repairing countless earth veins; Jieyin and Zhunti would likely sell us a little face and let him go.
Zhenyuanzi was momentarily speechless, wanting to scold Hongyun for meddling, but justice in the Primordial Wasteland is upheld by the Heavenly Court.
But upon reflection, our friendship exists precisely because of Hongyun's righteous, meddlesome nature; thus I cannot say more.
I can only secretly lament while preparing for the forthcoming confrontation with Jieyin and Zhunti.
The Three Pure Ones merely sighed deeply in their hearts, with no further talk; Jieyin and Zhunti are undoubtedly among the Primordial Wasteland's foremost great gods, not to be lightly insulted.
Moreover, Jieyin shares a sectarian bond with the Three Pure Ones, all disciples under the same master, being outer-door disciples of the Mystic Gate; thus they also find it hard to intervene to protect him.
Minghe merely watched the spectacle with delight, utterly indifferent to Taiyi's life or death; as long as the outcome did not hinder his acquisition of the Primordial Chaos Dao's method of proving the Dao, he cared nothing for this.
As for Kunpeng and Bai Ze, they fixed their gazes tightly on Taiyi, secretly calculating whether there was some scheme, wondering who might be targeting the Heavenly Court.
After all, this matter concerns the military strength of Xifang Dalu and the Primordial Chaos Dao realm, and also involves the Mystic Gate; if the Heavenly Court mishandles it, it will surely damage its prestige.
Furthermore, all the gods were present; the water deities, who are not particularly close to the Heavenly Court, or rather those colleagues not intimate with it, were also watching.
If they mishandle this, they will inevitably become a laughingstock, affecting future power and influence; Kunpeng and Bai Ze naturally cannot help but ponder further.
At this moment, Di Jun kept his gaze fixed on Jieyin and Zhunti; the best solution now is for the Heavenly Court to remain silent, letting Jieyin and Zhunti step forward voluntarily.
Whether admitting fault, stepping forward to apologize, or returning what they gained in Kunlun Mountain.
Or denying Taiyi's accusations, even biting back at him, are preferable to letting the Heavenly Court speak first and dispose of them.
As for whether Jieyin and Zhunti truly committed these acts, Di Jun has long taken it as true; after all, the reputation and deeds they have accumulated over the past are nothing short of ironclad proof.
Gazing at the silent Jieyin and Zhunti before him, Di Jun could not help but ask:
Two Daoist friends, is what Taiyi of Kunlun Mountain said indeed true?
Jieyin and Zhunti remained silent, yet in the end Jieyin stepped forward, voluntarily giving Di Jun a way out.
Only to see Jieyin suddenly show a sorrowful expression, his face full of anguish, yet his eyes also betraying compassion; he spoke: 'Your Majesty, this matter is indeed true; it is our fault, greed arose in our hearts, and we feel ashamed before Daoist Taiyi.'
But Your Majesty does not know that we have our reasons; Xifang Dalu is impoverished, and beings struggle to sustain their cultivation.
We were born in Xifang Dalu, under the Western Heaven's Mandate; how could we bear to see ordinary folk painfully seeking the Dao yet failing to obtain it?
Thus, our hearts moved, we entered Kunlun's treasure land for a moment; like a rustic villager first seeing prosperity, thinking of the suffering beings of Xifang Dalu, amid myriad sorrow, greed inevitably arose.
This is our transgression; we have betrayed the trust of the Kunlun Mountain Daoists, truly inexcusable!
Speaking thus, Jieyin and Zhunti even had hot tears welling in their eyes, their faces filled with feeling for the suffering beings of Xifang Dalu, immensely grieved, their five senses mingling, prompting deep reflection.
Even causing the gods present to feel indignant on their behalf, as if they all empathized, giving rise to a trace of pity for the beings of Xifang Dalu.
Even the original accuser, Taiyi, flashed a hint of compassion in his eyes, even feeling a bit of self-reproach. (End of chapter)
