Chapter 332: then translation of chapter title

332. Chapter 332: The human race appears, Nüwa the sage.

Qi wears a scarlet robe, a white jade hairpin on his head, fine lotus patterns distributed over the robe, brilliant gold embellishments, a rare brilliant red.

Nüwa is likewise, only compared to Qi's attire, hers appears somewhat more elaborate, yet equally dignified and gorgeous, beyond compare.

A red embroidered ball hangs between them, colorful clouds and rosy clouds spread, myriad stars sway, streaking across the sky to enhance its hue.

Fuxi's face is full of smiles, his eyes filled with the two of them; even the scene of sun and moon rising together, the colors of yin and yang separating, cannot take away even a fraction.

A rainbow bridge hangs among the clouds, the two walk slowly, the myriad gods offer praise, all beings sing in worship.

As Di Jun loudly proclaimed the rites complete, vast azure clouds and purple qi transformed into boundless radiant light, manifesting the merit of heaven and earth; golden breezes brought splendor, auspicious blessings and fortune.

Nüwa withdrew, leaving only Qi to receive the guests, seeing them off; only when the drunkenness grew thick did Qi manage to slip away and return to his chambers.

Bare hands lightly touch the brow, jade hairpin on the flower branches; though no color is seen, under heaven there is no equal. A moment of spring night is heavy; upon waking, the heavens have changed.

The Heavenly Court's grand feast finally dispersed, the matter of the earthly marriage gradually became folk gossip; Qi continued to immerse himself in the spell formations among the stars, while Nüwa walked through the wilderness, seeking the opportunity to prove the Dao.

Though newly wedded in bliss, it seems impossible to see it reflected in the two of them, yet neither Qi nor Nüwa feels anything unusual about it.

The Great Dao hangs at Tian Ji; we seek it above and below, day after day—how could we abandon it for emotion?

Xifang Dalu, Mu Lun transformed into a fleeing light, formless and colorless, straight toward Bei Fang he went, until he entered the North Sea; seeing no sound behind him, he finally let out a long sigh.

Since being captured by the Wu Clan, he had finally obtained a chance, taking advantage of the Twelve Ancestral Wu going to the Heavenly Court to attend the assembly, he thus managed to escape.

During this period, he was forcibly compelled to devise a formation for the Wu Clan's use.

Initially Mu Lun thought it difficult for a strong person, after all, one who does not cultivate the Great Dao actually dared to dabble in formation arts; but after receiving instruction from the Twelve Ancestral Wu, he felt it was not entirely impossible.

After his thorough investigation, he finally had some clues; Mu Lun used the Wu Clan's blood and qi as foundation, using the bloodline as a guide, and finally devised the embryonic form of the Wu Clan's formation.

This also caused the Wu Clan to relax somewhat toward him, allowing him to seize the opportunity to escape from the Wu Clan; gazing at the North Sea before him, Mu Lun sighed: 'The wilderness is perilous beyond measure; from now on I must not partake in these affairs, lest a slight setback turn me into rootless duckweed, unable to endure.'

Recalling the fists of the Twelve Ancestral Wu, his body instinctively shuddered; Mu Lun thus resolved, from today onward he would retreat to the mountains and forests, no longer involving himself in wilderness affairs.

Immediately crossing the North Sea, he drifted away; Mu Lun already had a plan in mind—to go to the Arctic ice fields, places rarely trodden by humans, to take on one or two disciples, henceforth no longer concerning himself with the wilderness.

As for Hun Dun, he had never considered it; he felt that although the wilderness is chaotic, there is always a place for him to stay.

On the shore of the Eastern Sea, Nüwa walks on the sand, spray flying, washing away the traces of her passage; gazing at the endless beach and the fish‑people whose heads break the surf, she always feels something is missing. On Bamboo Mountain, Nüwa walks among the valleys, streams trickle down, emitting faint water sounds; scaled fish swim in the aquatic plants, less than an inch long.

Nüwa cupped her hands; a little fish swam in her palm. She watched the lively fish, yet felt a tinge of disappointment, and again placed it back in the water; looking at these green mountains, she still felt something was missing.

Monkeys barked as they darted through the woods; suddenly an eagle's cry rang out, the monkeys fled in all directions, and Nüwa gazed at the sky, where white clouds drifted.

Nüwa seemed to have gained something, yet ultimately could not understand; helpless, she could only continue walking.

On the high mountain, Nüwa watched antelopes leap across the cliffs; she smiled, then shook her head, knowing the answer she sought was not here.

In the vast cavern, Nüwa seemed to hear an infant's wail; upon entering, in a daze she realized it was actually the giant salamander making the sound.

Nüwa withdrew in disappointment; this was not what she sought, so she continued walking, searching everywhere.

In the ensuing several yuanhui, Nüwa traversed the five lakes and four seas, mountains and rivers, ravines and gullies; she had seen flowers, birds, fish, insects, flying beasts and running animals, yet her heart remained bewildered.

Countless unseen races, myriad and strange, Nüwa came to know them all during this time, yet her heart grew ever more perplexed.

Nüwa was certain that the Great Dao she pursued lay herein; the more she saw, the more confused and bewildered her heart became.

One day, Nüwa arrived by the Yellow River; the surging waters roared past, magnificent indeed, yet she found it too noisy.

Thus she casually sought a valley, gazing at the secluded pool before her, clear to the bottom, and her heart finally calmed somewhat.

She casually plucked some small flowers, wove them into a ring, emitting a faint fragrance; Nüwa suddenly wanted to see her own appearance.

She placed the wreath on her head, Nüwa made up her mind: since left and right she had no clue, she might as well return to the Heavenly Court to settle her thoughts.

Reaching the pool's edge, Nüwa saw her reflection on the calm water—clad in white, wreath upon her head—and suddenly became immersed in it.

Until the fish in the water leapt above the surface, gentle ripples spread, and the undulations broke Nüwa's reflection in the water.

As if thunder clapped in her heart, Nüwa suddenly realized: yes, upon this vast wilderness earth, the broad soil nurtures all living things.

No matter their form, this inclusive heaven and earth can accept them; but once they embark on cultivation, they will ultimately seek the likeness of Pangu the Great God.

To pursue the Dao, as I do, seeking a body capable of bearing the Dao, to become human! Why then should I not use my own likeness to create a race innately human?

They innately possess seven apertures, able to stride heaven and earth, endowed with wisdom, capable of cultivation, able to comprehend the Dao! At this moment Nüwa understood that her Great Dao lay within them; the opportunity to achieve the Dao had long surrounded her, merely unnoticed.

Saying done, done, Nüwa took herself as the template, gathered the water of the secluded pool and the fine earth of the valley, combined them according to the Way of Creation, and began to knead.

In Nüwa's hands, the earth quickly took human form, infused with the breath of life; but just as she felt the task complete,

yet she discovered that the person in her hands, upon hitting the ground, shattered into ruin, breath feeble; a gentle breeze swept over, and it turned into a pile of yellow earth.

Nüwa instantly understood: 'Human' life has seven apertures, can stride heaven and earth, bearing the Dao through the body—such an innate advantage is too great; ordinary earth and water cannot withstand it, a gust of wind scatters it like yellow sand.

Nüwa thought, then took out the nine‑heavens' vital earth she had previously gathered, mixed it with the three‑light divine water, drew away the deep‑pool water, and left a pit to serve as a basin for kneading the earth.

Bathed in the moonlight at the horizon, Nüwa sat cross‑legged on the ground and began to reshape the earth into humans anew.

The first clay figurine was born; Nüwa gently set it on the ground, and it immediately began to grow—but only to half a zhang, its surface soon covered in cracks.

A thunderclap sounded from the horizon; the clay figurine instantly shattered at the sound, turning into a pool of yellow mud that flowed into the stone crevices.

At first Nüwa did not understand: why, with the nine‑heavens' vital earth and the three‑light divine water—two of the world's most precious substances—could she still not fashion a being able to stride heaven and earth?

But after carefully examining the yellow mud, Nüwa suddenly realized: as a newborn person, the primordial spirit is too mighty, yet utterly unbound, and the body cannot restrain it.

Hence, during growth, cracks continually appear, and under a thunderbolt it turns to muddy slurry, unable to solidify.

Yet the primordial spirit is the very foundation of a living being's life and wisdom; without it, how could one bear the Dao?

Nüwa could not comprehend, and could only gaze at the mire before her, sinking into contemplation.

Suddenly a flash of inspiration struck Nüwa: since the body cannot bear it for the time being, why not temporarily divide the primordial spirit?

Once they embark on cultivation, no longer led astray by the reins, they will learn to gather their hearts and spirits; then reuniting the primordial spirit would surely work! Immediately Nüwa began experimenting, continually dividing the primordial spirit she had fashioned for them; after countless attempts she finally settled on the best method.

She divided the unified primordial spirit into ten parts—three large, seven small—forming the three hun and seven po.

The three hun are fetal light, agile spirit, and deep essence; the seven po are corpse hound, crouched arrow, bird shade, devouring thief, non‑toxic, eliminating filth, and foul lung.

Fetal light is the most important of the three hun, the light of life; if fetal light is lost, life will cease.

The agile spirit is related to intellect and wisdom; those with a stronger agile spirit tend to be more clever and quick‑witted, endowed with greater wisdom.

Nüwa began to act continuously; one after another, the figurines stood on the earth, growing with the wind, and most became fixed when they reached seven feet tall.

Translation: Though not ugly, they were undoubtedly far more ordinary and lacked the wit of those previously molded. The splashing mud increased Nüwa's efficiency considerably, requiring little effort, for within any race, people inevitably vary.

When the pond's mud was exhausted, the number of people on the field had reached tens of millions; Nüwa gazed at the crowd filling the valley and laughed, saying, 'From today onward, you are humans, and the human race is thus born!'

Translation: Only then did countless meritorious golden clouds transform into a torrent, pouring into Nüwa's body, her aura swelling as if without limit.

The primordial purple qi was stirred by merit, intertwining with Nüwa's Dao fruition; purple qi permeated heaven and earth, rising from the east to blanket the whole Primordial Wasteland.

【132】

Translation: Nüwa realized her opportunity to prove the Dao had arrived; she cried out, "The Heavenly Dao is above, bearing the posture of standing heaven and earth, with seven apertures open to carry the Dao—from this day forward, humanity shall stand!"

Nüwa's words were few, but the endless clouds of merit-gold made all beings understand the impact of humanity's birth on the Way of Humans.

Translation: Heavenly flowers rained down, Dao music sounded, and spiritual rain fell like threads, moistening the earth; countless beings rejoiced and were invigorated.

The pervasive purple qi transformed into a chariot, carrying Nüwa into chaos; wherever she passed, heaven and earth were filled with purple qi, beyond precious.

Translation: Qi glanced at Fuxi beside him and laughed, "Congratulations, as the elder brother of a saint, there will surely be no hindrance in the Wasteland henceforth."

Fuxi also laughed and said:

【184】

Translation: The fortune of the Heavenly Court also surged and expanded as Nüwa became a saint; in the Wasteland, the fate of beings flowed like endless torrents, continually pouring in.

Taiyi felt the tremor of the Eastern Emperor Bell, laughed and said: 'Today in the Primordial Wasteland, the sages return to their places; this is the joy of the wilderness and the joy of the heavenly court; we must celebrate this.'

【188】

Translation: Having spoken, Taiyi hurled the East Emperor Bell from his hand; a divine force struck downward, and the bell's resonant peal instantly encircled the Primordial Wasteland land.

All monsters, spirits, and scheming ghosts vanished with the bell's sound; those who heard felt a shock, as if they understood that the wilderness had changed.

【192】

Translation: Until a yuanhui passed, Nüwa then returned to the Heavenly Court, re-entered Nüwa's Imperial Palace, and at once sent word to Qi, Di Jun, Taiyi, and Fuxi.

Qi, Emperor Jun, Fuxi, and Taiyi exchanged smiles, looked up to the exalted Nüwa, and together declared: 'We pay homage to the Holy Nüwa!'

Upon seeing the sage, why do you not bow?

After all lines, output the glossary list.

We must ensure we output each line exactly as "【N】 translation". No extra spaces? Probably a space after the bracket.

Now we need to compile glossary list.

We must list each term with raw_term (English) and original_term (Chinese). Use exact English forms as we decided.

We must ensure we don't miss any.

Let's list all unique terms we identified:

Nüwa then looked to the side at another person of exceptionally balanced build and said:

Now we need to output each line exactly as 【N】 . Ensure no extra spaces at end? We'll output exactly.

Qi and the others were instantly astonished, their eyes filled with disbelief as they looked at Nüwa; only to see Nüwa's eyes brimming with smiles as she said:

How? As a sage, the most honored person under heaven, you cannot but pay respects?

Qi and the others exchanged glances, then helplessly bowed and performed the salute, saying:

We pay our respects to the Sage.

Nüwa then waved her hand, lifting everyone up, and suddenly turned serious, saying: "Between us, let's not bother with these empty formalities; the affection of countless aeons, how could it change just because of status?"

Better to return to the main topic; my return to the Wilderness this time is precisely for this matter.

Qi and the others stopped joking, took their seats, and Qi asked:

Now that you have attained the position of Sage, in the Wilderness and the Heavenly Court there should be no more difficulties; as a Sage, how could there still be matters requiring your concern?

Nüwa's expression remained calm, though her tone carried a hint of helplessness, as she said: "According to Dao Ancestor Hongjun, Sages must not interfere in the affairs of the Wilderness; at least during this great calamity, Sages must not intervene."

The Wilderness' heaven and earth are not yet stable, nor have they reached the strength capable of bearing the Primordial Origin Dao Fruit; although it aligns with the Heavenly Dao, one must not lightly interfere in it.

This time I have returned; soon I will return to Chaos to open up Nüwa's Heaven, at which time all beings of the Wilderness will be able to come and observe the Dao.

And thereafter, I will long reside in Nüwa's Heaven; without cause, I will not easily enter the Wilderness.

Otherwise, each entry into the Wilderness would impose great pressure on the Wilderness world, to no benefit.

Qi's face instantly grew heavier; the Sage's power cannot remain long in the Wilderness, which is undoubtedly detrimental to the Heavenly Court.

If in the future great calamity, lacking Nüwa and Kunpeng, that would undoubtedly reduce the Heavenly Court's two top combat powers.

Facing the Wu Clan, whose war potential is immense, this is hardly good news for the Heavenly Court.

Fuxi further asked: "If so, then when the great calamity arrives in the future, will Sages be unable to act? Or does it mean that the power of the Primordial Origin Realm cannot manifest?"

Nüwa shook her head and explained:

Sages should indeed be unable to act; at least my teacher and I have made that clear. As for the power of the Primordial Origin Realm, I do not know.

The calamity will vary in scale depending on the power contained within the Wilderness, gradually expanding; like the Beast Calamity, only a few possess Primordial Origin Dao.

During the calamity of the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin tribes, coinciding with the Immortal-Demon Strife, although the number of Primordial Origin Dao practitioners remained few, their intensity already approached that of a Sage.

The age continually advances; the power contained within the Wilderness, during this period, has expanded like a gushing well, wildly.

Just within the Heavenly Court, the Quasi-Sages and Primordial Origin Dao practitioners together number no less than thirty; if the scope were expanded to the entire Wilderness, it would surely exceed a hundred.

Once the calamity erupts, its impact and intensity will undoubtedly be unprecedentedly fierce; at least in my view, power comparable to that of a Sage will inevitably appear.

Otherwise, even if at present the Wilderness were to shatter all its continents and sever all its earth veins, the calamity could not end.

There must emerge a power of a higher level to swiftly clear the karma of the present Wilderness and bring the calamity to an end.

In the situation where Sages cannot act, I believe the future of the Heavenly Court lies in the starry heavens; as for the other main character, I cannot guess.

Qi and the others all nodded; the formations in the starry sky will certainly be the Heavenly Court's to possess, and only the Heavenly Court has the ability to command them.

However, the source of the Wu Clan's power to oppose the Heavenly Court, Qi could not fathom, but all guessed it must stem from Pangu the Great God; they merely did not know how the other side would seize this power.

After all, given the gods' understanding of the Wu Clan, their upper limit is surely already fixed; perhaps it will approach infinitely the Primordial Origin Infinite Luo Tianzun God, yet they cannot attain the Dao.

Seeking power from one's bloodline, pursuing the laws, their upper limit also must necessarily not surpass the source of the bloodline, nor cross the bounds of the laws.

The master of the Dao is Primordial Origin; the Wu Clan wields the power of laws, yet is not contained within the laws—how then could they attain the Dao? As for borrowing the power of Pangu the Great God, Qi and the others must be on guard, for witchcraft differs from Daoist arts and divine abilities, with little overlap between them, making it truly hard for Qi and the others to speculate.

Taiyi pondered, then spoke: "Perhaps it is not truly destined to be in the starry void; at least for me, the threat you, Nüwa, bring is great, yet it does not make me feel invincible."

I do not know your current strength exactly, but I feel that you seem unable to kill me, or at least not in the short term.

Nüwa's eyes flashed with shock; Qi and Di Jun Fuxi also glanced askance, Qi looked at Taiyi in disbelief and asked:
