Chapter 1747: Mermaid Rearing Guide 19
At one o'clock in the morning, the night was extremely cold.
Xu Yi furtively poked his head out from the office door, and in the darkness heard the water swaying.
He was just about to turn on his flashlight when he saw the light source turn on, startling him so he quickly looked back.
No one! Who turned on the light?
"Person, don't dawdle." The mermaid preparing to carry out the escape plan inside the breeding chamber urged.
"Mermaid Boss, are you really going to start tonight? Do we not need to deploy anything first?"
Xu Yi stepped over to ask, still feeling a bit uneasy: "The Base Hunting Team and Patrol Team are so strong! And there are lots of weapons too!"
"Coward." Jin Chen's loose silver hair blew a strand onto his chest, played with by his fingertips, "If you're scared, just don't go."
"I didn't mean it like that." Xu Yi felt embarrassed, always feeling the Mermaid Boss's hobby was to retort people.
"Then what do I need to do..." Xu Yi hadn't finished asking when he suddenly heard footsteps coming from outside the hallway.
He looked at Jin Chen in surprise, "Do you have any other human allies?"
Jin Chen was also surprised, "No, are they yours?"
After a few seconds of Silence between the person and the mermaid.
Jin Chen poked under the table, "Get in."
Why do we have to crawl under the table again!
Xu Yi inwardly wailed, his motion without hesitation as he crawled under the desk.
The room returned to darkness, Jin Chen sank in the water and observed silently.
Suddenly the door opened, footsteps walking in……
It felt somewhat familiar.
Honey!
Jin Chen swooped out again, and at the instant the light source was opened, he locked eyes with Lin Juan.
"Juan!" Jin Chen swam out, his pointed ear fins extending between his silver hair, revealing a faint pink.
Perfect, no need to waste time looking for someone.
Lin Juan's steps halted, he gazed doubtfully at the now affectionate mermaid, as if his daytime temper didn't exist.
"You... aren't you angry?" Lin Juan asked, his slightly hoarse voice sounding somewhat fragile in the quiet office.
Jin Chen thought, "Angry."
"Juan, don't do the surgery, let me go."
On the same topic, Lin Juan could no longer utter the words asking Jin Chen to stay for his sake.
He clearly understood better than anyone what Jin Chen would suffer if he stayed.
Lin Juan reached out, his fingertip brushing Jin Chen's red lips, and hoarsely said, "Someone was watching during the day, I don't want to scare you."
"Hmm," Jin Chen nodded, pulled Lin Juan's wrist and kissed it, "I know."
"I'll let you go, but not now," Lin Juan said, his fingertip trembling from the kiss, letting Jin Chen pull him, then added, "Wait until I arrange things, find a chance to send you away, okay?"
"No."
Jin Chen refused, solemnly saying, "Just tonight, Juan, let's go together,"
Lin Juan: "... What did you say?"
He even had a moment of bewilderment, wondering if he had angered the mermaid during the day to the point of delirious speech.
"I said, just tonight." Jin Chen patiently repeated, then kissed Lin Juan's lip corner, "Juan, you can't refuse."
Plop!
"Who!"
Lin Juan didn't have time to think about what Jin Chen said; upon hearing the commotion, he instinctively drew his gun and shielded Jin Chen behind him.
He glanced sideways with a cold stare, alert to look under the table.
A few seconds later, Xu Yi scrambled out in a fluster, somewhat embarrassed laugh, "Good evening, Doctor Lin."
Then he quickly shot a pleading look at Jin Chen, "Save me, save me."
Jin Chen tugged Lin Juan's sleeve, "Juan, don't shoot."
Lin Juan reacted, his gaze more suspicious, his question directed only at Xu Yi: "What's your relationship with Jin Chen?"
Xu Yi: "... Huh? I and the Mermaid Boss are... allies?"
That should probably count as a "relationship," though the Mermaid Boss never asked his opinion.
The Mermaid Boss is just that domineering!
Lin Juan slightly frowned, recalling the previous coincidences, feeling somewhat enlightened.
Deep down he inevitably felt a bit uneasy, but Lin Juan didn't want to investigate further.
After Jin Chen leaves, they will probably never see each other again.
As he was thinking, Lin Juan was suddenly embraced from behind by Jin Chen, "Juan, don't be jealous."
"I don't." Lin Juan turned, pressed Jin Chen's shoulder, "No other moves, or I'll still punish you."
"I don't believe you." Jin Chen stated bluntly.
Lin Juan: "..."
He drew the dagger he had just used to kill the Red Mermaid, pressing it to Jin Chen's throat, "Do you want to escape, and also want to take all the base's marine life with you?"
Jin Chen was forced to lift his head, the corners of his eyes slightly moist, "It hurts..."
Lin Juan almost instantly wanted to let him go, but then hardened his heart, and with Xu Yi's exclamation, he pressed the dagger harder into the skin of his neck.
"Answer me, is it or not?"
"No," Jin Chen said softly, his eyes showing stubbornness, "Forest creatures also need to be saved."
"You dare?" "I dare."
The office suddenly fell silent.
Lin Juan's pupils twitched as he stared at Jin Chen's unusually serious gaze; he was both unwilling to strike hard and unable to truly agree to Jin Chen letting him go ahead and do it.
At this moment, Lin Juan suddenly realized there was an unbridgeable chasm between their species.
Xu Yi stood nearby, trembling with fear, and nobody dared to intervene.
Just then, footsteps came from outside the door, again and again, more than one set.
"Holy shit." Xu Yi couldn't help cursing under his breath, "Tonight is way too lively."
How about you two call a truce for a moment…
As Xu Yi spoke, he had already had the presence of mind to hide again under the table.
Jin Chen didn't hesitate, scooped Lin Juan up in a waist hold, and leapt into the Breeding Chamber while he dared not make a sound.
Lin Juan startled and slapped Jin Chen's shoulder, but it was useless; underwater he could hardly escape Jin Chen's embrace, and could only be dragged down to the bottom.
Jin Chen hid Lin Juan in the newly laid Shell Bed, large enough to hold a person and a fish in an embrace.
The shell slowly closed, Jin Chen pressed down his struggling hand, leaned in to kiss his tightly pressed lips, and passed breath into him.
Before Lin Juan's eyes was a tranquil blue, shimmering with a lustrous sheen, like a dreamy halo made of piled-up jewels.
He had never imagined that inside the shell could be such a sight.
The feeling of being kissed underwater was strange; Lin Juan patted Jin Chen's shoulder, but still couldn't get him to let go, so he helplessly lowered his hand and responded in silence.
Jin Chen lifted his head, dissatisfied, and whispered in his ear: "Wife, don't refuse, let me give you breath."
Lin Juan turned over and lay there, using his body to express refusal; his expression remained cold, and he had not yet recovered from the shock of learning Jin Chen's heart-stopping plan.
It was his own feelings that he shouldn't have, so he would rather let Jin Chen go and give him freedom.
But he absolutely would not allow Jin Chen to take other highly intelligent animals.
Really disobedient.
Jin Chen sighed, the tip of his tail poking Lin Juan's ankle, affectionately entwining, then leaning down to press his shoulder and continue kissing.
Forceful, unwilling to allow refusal intimacy.
Lin Juan: "……"
He lifted his hand, really, with no room left to struggle.
How could this fish's strength be so outrageous?
"Wife." Jin Chen heard the footsteps drawing ever closer, and whispered in a breathy voice to Lin Juan's ear: "You can breathe."
Lin Juan stared at him in astonishment, tried to breathe, and surprisingly could actually.
"If you sleep with me, you can." Jin Chen explained.
Lin Juan naturally knew what that sleep referred to, and turned his head away in annoyance.
Suddenly he realized he could breathe, and Jin Chen had actually just used the breath-transfer as an excuse!
The poor mermaid was given another glare by the wife.
Jin Chen blinked innocently, leaned in, and wanted to kiss him again.
