Chapter 2291: Love and Chaos: System Showdown 15

Ice-cold seawater with immense buoyancy instantly enveloped him.

He flailed panic-stricken for a few moments, choked on the salty seawater, and his mask nearly slipped off.

"Don't be afraid."

Jin Chen's strong arm immediately supported his waist, steadily lifting him above the water.

You Le'an wiped his face in a flustered mess, his heart still pounding wildly.

"Lower your head, look down." Jin Chen's voice came through the water, somewhat muffled yet unusually clear.

You Le'an obeyed, burying his face in the water and looking downward through his clear mask.

A magnificent, tranquil, utterly unfamiliar blue world instantly flooded his vision.

"Try sinking your head a little deeper and gently kicking your legs."

Jin Chen's voice was right by his ear, his palm steadily supporting You Le'an's waist while his other hand lightly held his arm, guiding his posture.

You Le'an tried to relax his body, mimicking Jin Chen's demonstration by gently fluttering his calves. His body indeed began to sink slowly, but what followed was a slight discomfort from water pressure and an instinctive fear of the unknown.

He instinctively reached out, flailing in the water, and the next second he tightly embraced Jin Chen's neck.

Skin pressed against equally warm skin, separated only by thin wetsuit fabric, their heartbeats and body temperatures seemed to instantly connect.

That strong sense of safety instantly dispelled the last trace of panic in You Le'an's heart.

But, it was too close.

You Le'an turned his face away, his ears inexplicably heating up, and even his neck flushed a faint red.

Jin Chen watched his shift from reliance to embarrassment, chuckled lightly, reached out again, gently grasped You Le'an's wrist, and pulled him into his embrace.

"A big scene is coming, do you see the protagonist not far away? Drag him into the water!" the system cackled.

Ling Gun Gun let out a sound and also cackled along.

You Le'an: "……"

He refused, "I'm a villain, not a lunatic."

Lin Xi and Zhou Du surfaced first, climbed the ladder back onto the deck, Lin Xi removed his breathing tube and gasped deeply, while Zhou Du unscrewed a water bottle and handed it to him.

Just as Lin Xi took the water bottle and tilted his head to drink.

A speedboat with no markings, coated in matte black paint, tore across the sea at terrifying speed, heading straight for the yacht.

Its target was clear, radiating killing intent!

"Watch out!"

Zhou Du's pupils contracted sharply; he yanked Lin Xi behind him, shouting, "Jin Chen! You Le'an! Get up here quickly!"

Underwater, upon sensing the unsettling vibration, Jin Chen reacted instantly, seizing You Le'an's arm and forcefully lifting him upward.

You Le'an's half-body slammed hard against the yacht's rail; on the deck, Lin Xi reacted with lightning speed, grabbing You Le'an's hand with all his strength.

"Quick! Pull the lever!" Zhou Du roared toward the helm,

The yacht's operator, already frightened pale, only snapped to attention at the shout, jerking the control lever all the way back with trembling hands.

The yacht's engine bellowed under strain, the stern plunged downward while the bow shot up under immense thrust, narrowly avoiding the terrifying prow of the black speedboat that nearly brushed past its face.

Boom!

The two hulls scraped past each other, kicking up a massive wall of wave, icy seawater splashing onto the deck like a downpour!

"Jin Chen!"

You Le'an was hauled onto the deck by Lin Xi and Zhou Du, soaking wet, still shaken.

But his first reaction was to lunge to the rail and shout toward the area where Jin Chen had just been!

The water surface churned violently, white foam rolling.

On the black speedboat, two figures in black wetsuits hesitated not, flipping and diving into the sea.

Their target was clearly not the yacht, but Jin Chen, who had suddenly plunged into the water.

"Brother!"

Lin Xi also lunged to the rail, his face deathly pale, his voice trembling with tears.

"Weisen!" You Le'an's voice quivered, "Go find Jin Chen quickly!"

Weisen surfaced not far away, furrowed his brow and shook his head, "Young master, I can't find him, the waves are too big."

"How could we not find him…"

"How could…"

A massive panic, like an icy giant hand, clenched fiercely around You Le'an's heart, almost crushing it.

He stared at the turbulent blue sea that had swallowed Jin Chen, at the black speedboat, and a fury unlike any before, mingled with a desire for destruction, surged within him.

You Le'an spun around, his soaked hair sticking to his forehead, droplets trickling down his tense jawline.

Those eyes, usually filled with mischief or innocence, now held only a terrifying ruthlessness.

"Get the boat moving!" You Le'an shouted at Weisen.

In the next instant, he strode purposefully toward the helm.

You Le'an pulled the operator, who was still trying to maneuver the yacht and scared out of his wits, from his seat and sat down without hesitation.

"You Le'an! What are you doing?" Zhou Du, startled, reached out to grab his shoulder.

"Can you swim?" You Le'an asked without looking back, eyes fixed on the black speedboat ahead, preparing to turn and meet the assassin.

Zhou Du and Lin Xi instinctively nodded at the same time, "We can, but…"

"Then hold on tight."

You Le'an slammed the throttle pedal beneath his foot all the way down.

Boom!!

The yacht's massive rear engine exploded with a deafening roar, the bow instantly lifted, churning a towering wave as it surged full speed toward the black speedboat.

Holy shit!

Lin Xi let out an instinctive scream, and Zhou Du clung tightly to any nearby fixed object he could grab.

The Survival System shrieked as it came online:

The Villain System laughed menacingly: 〖The real big scene has come! Smash them! 〗

Underwater at that moment, the three assassins pursuing Jin Chen sank completely to the seabed.

Jin Chen swam toward the surface and happened to witness two ships colliding.

Jin Chen's eyelid twitched, and he swiftly dove back down.

【Main God is awesome!】Ling Gun Gun popped his head out and spat a mouthful of seawater.

Wei Sen sped over in another speedboat, fishing Lin Xi and Zhou Du out of the sea one by one, but saw that his young master, after being struck by the collision's wake, was still swimming deeper.

Young master!

Wei Sen, startled, rushed forward to block him, but Zhou Du seized him, coughing, 'No, it's fine—look!'

Following the direction Zhou Du pointed, Wei Sen and Lin Xi saw Jin Chen surfacing.

You Le An was brought above water, and upon contacting the air he began to choke and cough; his vision blurred from seawater blocking it, yet he clearly felt the arm tightly locked around his waist.

It's Jin Chen!

His nerves, stretched to the limit, snapped with a boom; You Le An didn't even have time to fully open his eyes, almost by instinct he wrapped his remaining strength around Jin Chen's neck and back, his body trembling slightly from the emotional shock, leaving only a near-collapse fatigue.

His drenched hair clung messily to Jin Chen's equally wet neck, conveying their violent heartbeats.

Jin Chen was stunned for a moment by his reckless embrace, then brought You Le An toward the speedboat.

The three on the boat hurriedly pulled them aboard.

Finally feeling solid ground beneath his feet, Jin Chen had just relaxed when he heard You Le An's fragile, tearful voice.

Scared me to death……How can you dive so deep? I thought……

Thought…… I got you killed.

You Le An sobbed, still clutching Jin Chen's hand, his eye sockets red-rimmed, showing no trace of the ferocity he had just shown ramming into the black speedboat.
