Chapter 2451: Another Me 20
Jin Chen gazed at Lai Chi's exhausted, fragile form in the darkness, his heart going soft.
He softened his voice to coax, "Guabao, shall we go to sleep? Brother will comfort you."
Lai Chi was truly exhausted from crying, his nerves pulled taut to the breaking point.
He gave a soft hum, obediently climbed onto the bed, curled into the soft blankets, stared at the moonlight on the ceiling, and soon fell asleep.
Jin Chen's consciousness sank into Lai Chi's dream.
Lai Chi gazed around doubtfully; the sight before him made him pause slightly—a heavy black door stood before him.
Lai Chi stood before the door, hesitantly reaching out to push it open.
Beyond the door lay a maze of dim yellow corridors, mirrors lining every direction—up, down, left, and right.
Countless reflections of Lai Chi refracted and stretched in the mirrors, creating a dizzying sense of unreality.
The passage wound deep and dark, its light vague and indistinct.
Jin Chen's figure appeared at the end of one of the corridors.
Lai Chi saw his brother, like a lost child finding salvation and hope, and rushed over eagerly.
Jin Chen was somewhat surprised by the structure of this dream space, but quickly adapted.
He caught the boy lunging at him, habitually ruffling the back of his head, his voice low and steady.
"Were you scared?"
Lai Chi rubbed against him firmly, filling his breath with Jin Chen's scent, inhaling greedily.
Having rubbed enough, he lifted his face, eyes red and glistening, looking at Jin Chen with a wet gaze, silently asking for a kiss.
Jin Chen lowered his head, fulfilling his desire.
One soft, deep kiss after another fell, entwining and rubbing.
Lai Chi's gaze grew unfocused from the kissing, his body went limp, yet the emptiness inside him remained unfilled.
Not enough. Lai Chi thought dazedly.
He leaned into Jin Chen's embrace, closed his eyes, and thought of the large sofa in the villa's lounge… and… the little deer hairpin he hadn't yet had a chance to show his brother.
As soon as the thought arose, the dream shifted accordingly—a sofa big enough for Lai Chi to roll around on materialized out of nowhere, along with a fluffy brown deer hairpin.
Jin Chen held the person in his arms and, following the motion, walked to the sofa and sat down.
Lai Chi straddled his lap, face to face, burying himself deeply in that cherished embrace.
Jin Chen picked up the hairpin from the coffee table; Lai Chi lifted his head, eyes bright, allowing Jin Chen to place the little deer-antlered hairpin onto his hair.
"Does it look good?" Lai Chi asked, tilting his face up.
Jin Chen examined him closely.
The boy's clear eyes, still misty from their recent intimacy, paired with the endearing little deer antlers, formed a pure, unknowing allure.
His Adam's apple twitched; he couldn't hide his fondness, pinching the boy's reddened ear tip, "It looks good."
Having received an affirmative answer, Lai Chi pressed his lips into a smile, but it didn't last long before it fell again.
Following his instinct, he began to restless ly tilt his head up for another kiss, his hair getting somewhat tangled as it rubbed against Jin Chen's embrace.
Jin Chen gripped the back of his head, kissing him deeper and harder until Lai Chi's tongue went numb, his breath grew ragged, and his whole body felt as if it might melt into the kiss.
Only in this ultimate intimate contact did the soul's deep, drifting emptiness get briefly filled.
Only then did Lai Chi truly feel alive, loved, and completely loved by his brother.
Jin Chen had only intended to soothe his startled lover properly in the dream, but he found that Lai Chi grew hotter the more they kissed.
Lai Chi suddenly gave Jin Chen's shoulder a light push, the corners of his eyes flushed with emotion.
He looked at Jin Chen, his face pale yet bewitchingly beautiful, "Brother, do you only want to kiss me…?"
Jin Chen saw the unease and longing in Lai Chi's eyes, his Adam's apple rolling; he supported Lai Chi's waist, lifting him slightly, and placed kisses on the small mole behind his ear, trailing down, gently kissing the side of his neck with utmost patience, hoping to ease all of Lai Chi's anxieties.
But Lai Chi still cried.
Tears slid down silently, while he endured that heart‑pounding intimacy and clung tightly to Jin Chen's neck, his voice broken and intermittent.
"Brother, I like you…"
Jin Chen stroked Lai Chi's wet cheeks, gently wiping away the traces, "I like you, Guabao."
Lai Chi's body softened, his mood finally improving a little as he jostled in Jin Chen's arms, his gaze hazy as he looked around.
Many mirrors surrounded them, reflecting their tightly entwined figures from every angle, leaving nothing hidden.
Only then did Lai Chi feel a wave of shame, his inner thighs trembling uncontrollably.
He was mortified, burying himself in Jin Chen's embrace like an ostrich hiding from the mirrors.
"What kind of dream is this? It's improper," Lai Chi thought, "this place is just improper."
Jin Chen noticed, let out a low chuckle, a mischievous thought sparking; he pressed on Lai Chi's sensitive lower waist, applying a bit of force.
Lai Chi's body jerked, a whimper laced with sobs escaping him, and he went completely limp in Jin Chen's arms.
Jin Chen held the trembling body in his arms, stroking his thin back, occasionally planting soothing light kisses, patiently waiting for him to regain his strength, until Lai Chi's whole body was saturated with his scent.
Lai Chi was soothed that easily.
Having recovered, he nuzzled Jin Chen's cheek like a spoiled cat, rubbing his face and nose gently against it.
"Brother… please comfort me again."
This night, woven from unease and longing, saw Jin Chen patting his back now and then.
Time lost meaning in the dream; this night was both long and short, finally fading away in the warmth of their embrace.
