Chapter 301: The Imperial Marshal Was Again Forcibly Flirted With 29

~7 min read 1,246 words

Jin Chen's words completely enraged Yixiduole.

He never expected this federal marshal to be so outspoken, nor that he had already been rude to this extent.

"Impudent! This isn't your federal homeworld! I won't let you run wild!"

Yixiduole's face flushed with anger: "Someone! Arrest this federal who spouts nonsense! I want to see what the federation will say!"

"And Alex, being a criminal and a federate mixed together, also arrest him and punish him together!"

"Yes!"

His subordinates, who had been ready for a while, immediately obeyed the order, and the intelligent brain issued the operation command.

Jin Chen snorted, relaxed, stepped back a step, and stood shoulder to shoulder with Alex.

The federal diplomats had already left the banquet hall according to the original plan when the order was issued; here the crowd was dense and everyone's attention was drawn to the central incident, so no one noticed.

Meanwhile, the imperial nobles attending this banquet, being the only ones unaware, were filled with panic and tension, and all wanted to find a chance to leave.

The whole scene was especially chaotic.

Yet the most calm and composed were the two people who had ordered to be arrested.

At this moment, the military department's task force that had received the order had already come from the flanking line to surround them; even though only two people needed to be arrested, they were still fully armed, after all, although they previously were not under Alex's jurisdiction, they also knew his prowess, and moreover there was one who was called the War God by the federation.

They dared not be lax in the slightest, raising their guns as they approached, the special combat uniforms of the military department on their bodies displayed their identity.

Alex recognized their identity from their combat uniforms.

A task force composed of members from the six military departments and Steven's military department.

"Where do you think you can escape to!" Xixiduole also didn't want to hide anymore, his eyes beneath his white hair filled with anger.

"I'm curious, why do you think that after so many years in the military department, I could still be caught by them?"

Alex seemed to be sincerely asking for advice, his expression very calm, as if he hadn't noticed the team already ready to attack.

"Because this is the empire! You are an escaped prisoner!"

Xixiduole snorted coldly, his eyes sinister, his tone an arrogant refusal to be denied: "And I am your ruler!"

So he wanted Alex dead, even if it was just a trumped-up charge, Alex had no way to escape.

"Very well," Alex nodded, even clapped his hands, "I suppose back then, when my father asked this question, you answered the same way."

"What Jin Chen said is correct; under such imperial rule, the empire has rotted to the core."

This was the first time he had spoken to Xixiduole like that; many nobles present who knew Alex's father's identity were surprised, glanced sideways, and whispered among themselves.

Xixiduole widened his cloudy eyes in shock, unable to believe it.

How could Alex know about those past events! Who told him!

This person absolutely cannot be kept, nor can he be left to Steven to deal with.

Xixiduole gave an order, letting the surrounding task force move in—Alex must die!

But just then, Xixiduole, whose attention had been diverted by standoff with Alex, suddenly felt a breeze brush his cheek.

The next second, Jin Chen was already at his side, holding a quantum gun aimed at his head, thumb pressing the trigger, the other hand raising a light-blade dagger aimed at his chest.

"Guess which will happen first: your worthless task force getting the upper hand, or you dying?"

Jin Chen's chilling voice sounded in his ear.

Everyone present gasped! When?! They had clearly been watching all along!

The fully armed task force's faces changed drastically, they raised their guns and tightened the encirclement, surrounding Jin Chen in the center.

The situation instantly became tense and ready to explode!

"Your attention is really easy to distract; it seems Steven hasn't been giving you much training either."

Alex's voice came again, his apparition-like figure slipping outside the encirclement, standing high on the banquet platform.

His brows were cold, his whole body exuding a sharp killing intent, like a hunter of rulers in the darkness.

"You have great gall," Xixiduole said, with a gun pressed to him, only then realizing that the people around him had already been sent outside the encirclement, leaving him isolated and helpless, and he also feared Jin Chen would just fire.

"Are you crazy, Jin Chen!"

Joshua and the imperial aide, who had barely crawled up from the ground, were terrified out of their wits; if His Majesty had an accident in front of them, they would die!

"Shut up, if you keep making noise he'll die."

Jin Chen glanced over impatiently, then looked at the nervous-faced noble members: "You, leave through the back door; there's no ambush set up there by your beloved emperor."

"Leave... hurry, hurry!"

The nobles knew full well that starting today the imperial family would undergo a change, but they still thought their lives were more important!

"Impudent! You're all being impudent! My imperial guard is right outside! You can't escape!"

Now Xixiduole could only rage helplessly: "I am your ruler!"

Unfortunately his aged, decaying voice was drowned out by the hurried footsteps of the fleeing nobles, and no one paid attention.

"Let me give you another surprise, Mr. Xixiduole." Alex no longer bothered to call him His Majesty; in his eyes, the current Xixiduole was a ruthless patricide, a stubborn old decay.

He glanced at Ian, who was fleeing in disarray from the pond's edge, curled his lips in a light smile, boredly shifted his gaze, and tapped a point on the intelligent brain with his fingertip.

The next second, the imperial guard that had originally been rushing toward the center was suddenly hit by a sudden high-energy ion beam line, and a batch of them collapsed instantly to the ground.

Along with that came the heavy footsteps of the two military task forces now supporting Chester, running over.

They were warriors personally trained by Alex, their aura a notch above others, their bodies filled with a stern killing intent, their weapons aimed at other military personnel, forming a reverse encirclement.

"Sorry, Your Majesty, but we still trust General Alex more than you."

One of the ministers who came afterward said as such.

Xixiduole, held hostage by Jin Chen, not yet shot dead, was nearly angry to death, his speech broken by heavy panting, as if he would faint any second.

"Steven! What are you still waiting for!"

He hoarsely shouted, shaking Jin Chen's ears.

Jin Chen seemed to think holding the gun like this was boring, he pulled a binder from the spatial hub, bound Xixiduole, lifted his leg and kicked the person down to the ground, and the binder immediately tightened.

The once noble emperor, like a shrimp, was forced to curl up, collapsed on the ground, in a miserable state.

And the soldiers of the Sixth Division inside the encirclement finally reacted, hurriedly helping him to stand, but they could not free him from the restraint device.

Jin Chen leisurely walked out of the encirclement; any imperial soldier who tried to move against him would be blocked by the First and Second Division soldiers behind the outer perimeter, the atmosphere extremely tense.
