Chapter 3028: Blood-Stained Addiction 04
Because of Feiwen's reminder, under the gaze of everyone, Saiyin's eyes fell back onto Osdin again, deep and inscrutable.
Osdin instinctively lowered his head to hide the complex emotions in his eyes—unwilling, humiliated.
He is a Holy Knight; even if he has fallen to the point where the Holy Court sends him over as a gesture of goodwill, he should never be a mere object to be slaughtered.
Saiyin gazed at Osdin, as if having made some final decision, his gaze returning once more to Jin Chen, his fingertips lightly brushing Jin Chen's cheek, his thin lips parting: "You are merely a mixed-blood human; staying here is your honor."
Jin Chen gave him a deep look, then turned his head to avoid Saiyin's icy fingertips and stepped back half a step.
A lowly mixed-blood candidate awaiting selection actually dared to openly shake off Saiyin Strande's hand.
On the high platform, the expressions of several counts suddenly became quite remarkable.
On Malaki's face, carved like rotting wood, his eyes shifted slightly, fixed on Jin Chen; Elena's red lips curled in a schadenfreude arc, her scarlet tongue lightly licking her sharp teeth; even Feiwen, who usually behaved unrestrained and flirtatious, couldn't help feeling a bit regretful.
What a pity.
Such a rare face, those blue eyes that make all beings' hearts race, will likely soon turn into a pallid, icy corpse… or worse.
The lower-ranking bloodfolk and candidates were even more terrified, their souls fleeing, all lowering their heads, fearful that the Count's wrath would reach them, yet secretly harboring a cruel anticipation.
Look, this is the fate of offending the lord of Eternal Night Castle—this mixed-blood candidate is so beautiful, yet so foolish.
Saiyin slowly withdrew his hand, an intangible pressure spreading; the weaker mixed-bloods and lower-ranking bloodfolk could no longer control themselves and began to tremble.
"Hah, mixed-blood human." Saiyin still loomed like a creator above all, truly puzzled, so he fixed his gaze on Jin Chen and asked, "Who gave you the nerve to refuse me?"
Jin Chen slightly lowered his head, as if truly considering the question, then spoke softly, "Count Feiwen."
Feiwen blinked: "……?"
The smile on Feiwen's face began to falter; he would never endure Saiyin's wrath for a mere plaything.
He raised both hands, an elegant yet helpless innocent pose: "Saiyin, my dear friend."
"I never urged him to do anything; such an offense should rightly be left to your disposal. It's just a shame about this rare flesh and blood..." Feiwen sighed and retreated to the position of an onlooker.
Seeing this, the other bloodfolk dared not even breathe.
Saiyin turned his gaze back to Jin Chen, his will irresistible: "Come here."
Jin Chen keenly sensed an overwhelming oppressive force urging him to submit, forcing him to lower his head; like all lowly creatures, he crawled over and kissed the fingertips extended before him.
Under that intangible pressure, Saiyin's extended hand made a grasping motion in the air toward Jin Chen's direction.
Jin Chen withdrew his resistance, was lifted into the air and dragged forward; his black robe snapped in the sudden force, his silver hair flying.
In the next instant, Jin Chen fell to the ground beneath the platform, kneeling on one knee, one hand having to brace against the floor to steady himself, avoiding a more disgraceful pose; his silver hair fell in disarray, obscuring his furrowed brow.
Saiyin looked down at him from above, like a god surveying dust, his wine-red eyes narrowing slightly: "It seems you don't quite understand your situation."
His icy fingertips slowly traced Jin Chen's lower lip— that lip a vivid crimson, like a poisonous berry blooming in the snow, lush and tempting yet fragile.
"Lowly mixed-blood, awaiting to be devoured," Saiyin's thumb pressed slightly, applying pressure to that soft lip, "you have no right to refuse me."
Saiyin's gaze swept over Jin Chen's forcibly raised neck, where the skin was thinner, faint azure veins visible beneath the pallid skin, throbbing lightly with a rapid pulse… the desire, forcibly restrained yet surging all the more, stirred again.
Tear him apart, drain him dry, make him pay for this foolish offense.
Saiyin's fingertips slid down from the jaw, caressing that fragile stretch of neck, pausing at the spot where the pulse throbbed most visibly, his nails sharpening like blades, lightly pressing against the warm skin.
Only a light slash is needed, and the scalding, sweet blood that makes souls tremble will gush forth.
All the bloodfolk widened their eyes, awaiting that bloody yet sweet spectacle; some even unconsciously swallowed, their eyes showing greed and anticipation.
Jin Chen was forced to tilt his head back, his neck fully exposed beneath Saiyin's fingertips.
He frowned slightly, feeling somewhat offended, pondering whether he needed to change his approach to complete the task the system had spoken of.
For instance, simply locking this high-and-mighty count in a prison until the plot point reaches the ending, whatever that may be.
Yet at that critical moment, Jin Chen noticed Saiyin cease his movement, only whispering softly by his ear, "Stay here, I permit you to be my first attendant."
Jin Chen gathered his thoughts, looking over with a hint of doubt.
"Since you so like to use that insignificant will to resist, then stay here, using your blood and your body to atone for today's offense."
Saiyin once again stroked Jin Chen's cheek, as if playing with an object he could dispose of at will.
"From this moment on, every drop of your blood belongs to me, until I grow tired, or……" Saiyin paused, malice suffusing his blood-red eyes, "you are used up."
"As for you," Saiyin finally released the hand gripping Jin Chen's chin, turning toward the pallid, deathly Osdin beside him, his tone returning to its usual indifference, as if the earlier brink-of-rage fury had merely been an illusion.
"Holy Knight Osdin, stay as well, to become an ordinary blood servant."
He didn't even have the interest to glance at Osdin a second time, as if that were merely an insignificant add-on.
Osdin's body trembled; he jerked his head up, his eyes filled with even greater humiliation and disbelief than before.
【Ding! Side quest "Turning the Choice of Count Strande" completed! Plot twist progress 5%!】
Jin Chen rose to his feet, slightly lifting his head, just able to see the count's proud and beautiful visage; this gave him a strange feeling, yet he still permitted Saiyin this degree of offense.
