Chapter 3034: Blood‑Stained Addiction 10

~6 min read 1,091 words

Aosiding stood stiffly at the bedroom door, never expecting Jin Chen to still be alive.

Not only was he alive, he lay on the Count's bed, accepting the Count's intimate service as if it were natural. The scene was too shocking; it took Aosiding two full breaths to regain his composure.

He took a deep breath, lowered his eyelashes to avoid the overly intimate pose of the two on the bed, and held the tray steady in his hands.

"Good morning, Count. I've prepared your morning drink."

Aosiding didn't look at Jin Chen, as if the other didn't exist; he directed all his attention respectfully to the Count burying his face in someone's neck.

Saiyin on the bed was still dissatisfied because he hadn't been able to immediately taste that sweetness that haunted his dreams upon waking; he licked his lower lip, hearing Aosiding's voice, he turned his head impatiently, his blood-red eyes sweeping over the respectfully bowed Aosiding at the door, then glancing at Jin Chen lounging lazily with his head propped up beside him.

Saiyin's mood was not good; the thirst for blood clamored, and the bold blood servant in his arms refused to obey.

"It seems yesterday's lashing wasn't enough to make you remember the rules; who let you in."

"It was my oversight; I was just worried you'd be thirsty when you woke up, so I wanted to do something for you."

Jin Chen leaned against the headboard, propping his head with one hand, watching the scene with interest, the corner of his mouth slightly curved in a faint arc; unexpectedly, this Holy Knight had such a side.

Saiyin's mood also improved a little from those words; he rose from Jin Chen's body, bare feet stepping on the thick carpet, the hem of his red robe trailing behind him as he went around the foot of the bed and took two steps toward Aosiding.

Aosiding's breath hitched slightly; he could feel Saiyin's gaze wandering over his body, then Saiyin leaned in, tilting his head slightly, his nostrils fluttering lightly, as if trying to catch a scent from Aosiding.

Jin Chen noticed Saiyin's movement, sat up straight from the headboard, and slowly smoothed the front of his robe, which had become a little loose from Saiyin's rubbing.

Hearing the movement behind him, Saiyin turned his head, his dark red pupils contracting sharply.

"Stand still, lie back down."

He hadn't even held a grudge against the blood servant for daring to tie him up with a whip last night, even using strange magic to knock him out, yet this blood servant dared to defy his wish to leave!

Before Jin Chen could respond to Saiyin's dissatisfaction, he first heard the mission notification.

"Ding! Triggered key side quest: Day of the First Embrace."

"Detected today's plot point: Count Saiyin Sitelande will perform the initial embrace ritual on the protagonist Aosiding. Mission requirement: alter the outcome of this initial embrace, prevent Aosiding from becoming a pure-blood descendant transformed by Count Saiyin himself."

"But please note: to trigger the subsequent key plot 'weak period under the Prince's gaze,' you must ensure that after today Count Saiyin enters a seven-day state of post-initial embrace weakness. Please proceed with caution, mission taker."

Jin Chen's brow twitched; a few vague thoughts flashed through his mind, but he chose not to obey Saiyin's command to lie back down. Instead, he lowered his head, raised his hand, and lightly touched the tooth mark on his neck with his fingertip—this motion seemed to tug at the wound, or perhaps he did it deliberately, as a faint scent of blood drifted from that spot of skin.

Jin Chen turned to face Saiyin, "My lord, I need to have breakfast, and then..."

"You already have a blood servant attending to you, or did you choose to do it yourself?"

Having said that, he didn't wait for Saiyin's reaction, barefoot, with his silver hair loose, a conspicuous mark on his neck, calm and composed, he walked past the stiff Aosiding, opened the door from the bedroom to the outer sitting room, and didn't forget to pull it shut behind him.

Saiyin stared at the closed door, his blood-red eyes surging with resentment at being defied and irritation.

Aosiding still knelt on the floor, the tray in his hands held steady, his lowered eyelids concealing the emotions in his eyes.

Outside the sitting room, set up for simple meals, stood a dark-colored long table and a few high-backed chairs; morning light filtered through the high stained‑glass windows, barely illuminating the interior.

Jin Chen sat down at one end of the long table; immediately a blood servant emerged from the side door, bowed, and set the breakfast before him. He picked up the silver fork and began to eat his meal slowly and deliberately.

Ling Gun Gun burst out in a hurry, jumped onto the table, ran around the food once, then sighed regretfully.

Never mind, the important thing is to get down to business!

"Host! How could you just come out like that! You left the protagonist and the Count alone inside! The initial embrace mission! What if Saiyin can't hold back, or the protagonist uses some means, and the initial embrace ritual gets triggered—what then!"

Jin Chen, however, seemed not to hear its anxiety; he speared a deep‑purple berry and put it in his mouth, then flicked Ling Gun Gun's head with his finger, "What's the rush? I have a plan."

Ling Gun Gun, having been flicked, leaned back a little, obediently closed his mouth, perched on Jin Chen's shoulder, and watched him eat breakfast.

Jin Chen set down his cup, unconsciously tapping the tabletop twice with his finger, waiting for the events inside the room to reach a certain point, and also thinking about the mission Ling Gun Gun had just mentioned.

The initial embrace—that struck him as somewhat unexpected. In his impression, the initial embrace was a significant matter for the blood clan, implying a certain degree of responsibility and bond, not something to be done casually.

Although Saiyin had a special interest in Aosiding, it wasn't to the point that he would so quickly decide to give him the initial embrace.

Moreover, it was Saiyin who ended up weak after the initial embrace, which made things even more interesting.

So, if the initial embrace weren't carried out, how could a similar weakening effect be achieved……

Jin Chen's fingertip paused on the tabletop as he looked at the tightly closed door at the end of the hallway, waiting patiently.
