Chapter 3036: Blood-Stained Addiction 12
Jin Chen's chair was very wide, but fitting two people was a bit of a squeeze; Saiyin sat on his lap, the deep red robe spread open, revealing more of his cold-white skin, boredly swinging his bare calves, temporarily accepting the arrangement of waiting before the meal.
But his inner hunger and thirst had not vanished; on the contrary, it grew ever stronger, and merely sitting like this made that burning craving even more intense.
Saiyin soon felt the unbearable hunger again.
He irritably turned his head, using his already extended fangs to scrape against Jin Chen's neck skin, the blood vessels faintly throbbing beneath the thin skin.
Jin Chen looked down, finding the earl's obviously impatient yet reluctantly enduring demeanor quite amusing; he picked up a berry from the plate and held it to Saiyin's lips, saying, "Try this?"
Saiyin tilted his head to avoid it, brows furrowed.
What a joke—he only wanted to drink blood now! To him, human food was as tasteless as chewing wax, and could even cause discomfort.
He also noticed, beside the half-empty cup of clear water Jin Chen had drunk from, a goblet holding dark-red liquid; he reached over, picked up the goblet, tilted his head back, and took a big gulp.
But the red wine not only failed to quench his thirst, it was like throwing dry kindling onto the fire of his already burning hunger; the alcohol stimulated his keen senses, making his unsatisfied craving blaze even more fiercely.
Saiyin cursed under his breath, set the goblet down on the table, and directed his displaced anger toward the nearest blood servant.
That blood servant was a young male; feeling the earl's terrifying gaze, he collapsed limp on the ground.
A flash of killing intent crossed Saiyin's eyes; his fingertips twitched, about to crush this eyesore—and witness to his current sorry state—like an ant.
However, his face was gently turned by two warm fingers, forcing him to meet Jin Chen's calm azure eyes; inexplicably, the pent-up vicious fire in Saiyin's chest stalled for a moment.
"My lord," Jin Chen looked at him, brows slightly furrowed, his eyes holding a hint of incomprehension and also resignation, not understanding why, while eating properly, the ill-tempered earl before him would suddenly want to kill.
Jin Chen looked at his gorgeous, lively yet all the more gloomy and irritable face, and sighed silently.
It seems he is truly feeling very uncomfortable.
He softened his voice, "Don't be angry, first……"
Shut up! Deceitful slave!
Saiyin, however, seemed to be angered anew by this soothing tone; he glared hatefully at Jin Chen, his fangs flashing cold light, "Who gave you the right to speak to me in that tone!"
Why won't this blood servant just let him drink his blood? Why does the esteemed Earl of Strand have to play this boring "you eat first or I eat first" game with a mere blood servant here?
Osdin, kneeling in the corner, hearing Saiyin's tirade, felt a secret surge of pleasure in his heart.
Exactly! Just like that! Whip him! Just as they did to me! Let this arrogant mixed-blood also taste the pain!
Jin Chen's reaction, however, once again defied everyone's expectations.
Facing Saiyin's angry scolding and fangs almost piercing the skin, he showed no fear, no anger; he simply raised the hand he had just used to turn Saiyin's face, placing the tiger's mouth lightly against Saiyin's lips, which had slightly opened from his tirade.
"Mmm!" Saiyin instinctively bit down; his fangs pierced that spot, and scarlet blood beads oozed from the wound in the tiger's mouth, slowly gathering along the lines of the palm; that sweet blood fragrance, enough to make the soul tremble, instantly flooded his nostrils.
Saiyin's blood-red pupils dilated; he stopped struggling, took Jin Chen's tiger's mouth pressed to his lips into his mouth, and his tongue eagerly and greedily sucked the blood.
Although the amount was tiny, each drop felt like sweet rain, soothing the burning in his throat, easing the madness-inducing hunger, and even bringing a dazed sense of comfort.
Saiyin leaned quietly against Jin Chen's embrace, his eyelids slightly drooping, focused on sucking that little wound; the ferocity faded from his gorgeous face, replaced by a sated, dreamy look.
The kneeling blood servants, including Osdin, were all stunned.
They had never seen such an Earl of Strand.
Such a violent, arrogant, peerless being actually behaved like a tamed beast, meekly nestling in a human's embrace, and appeared so satisfied, even dependent.
Jin Chen let Saiyin suck for a moment, then gently moved his fingers.
Saiyin grunted in displeasure, released his mouth, his tongue still wanting more as he licked his blood-stained lips, then lazily leaned against Jin Chen's shoulder, half-lidded eyes, somewhat drowsy.
Only then did Jin Chen withdraw his hand, glanced at the two tooth marks on the tiger's mouth, wiped them off nonchalantly with a napkin, and lowered his eyes in thought.
After getting drunk, feeling a bit worse… this condition should be similar to the weakness caused by the initial embrace, right?
As for how to maintain this weakness and ensure it lasts seven days…
A flicker of extremely faint interest flashed in Jin Chen's eyes.
He reached over and took the goblet still holding a small half of red wine on the table, held the just-bitten tiger's mouth, still slowly oozing blood, above the cup, squeezed the wound hard, and a few drops of scarlet blood fell into the dark-red liquor, quickly diffusing and tinting the whole goblet a more enticing shade.
Having done that, Jin Chen flicked his fingertips; a weak magic power silently mingled with those few drops of blood, and together they fell into the cup.
He brought the goblet to Saiyin's lips.
Saiyin was still immersed in the comfort from that bit of blood; smelling the mixture of red wine and the blood fragrance he craved in the goblet, he tilted his head slightly in doubt, his blood-colored eyes gazing at Jin Chen, within them lingering a hazy dreaminess.
"Deceitful slave." He let out a low hum, his voice nasal, accusing Jin Chen of playing tricks, using blood to lure him.
Jin Chen's lips curled slightly, a faint smile in his blue eyes, "You've already said that, my lord; try something else."
Saiyin glared at him, but that gaze held little power; instead, its dreaminess made it somewhat alluring, and in the end he could not resist the temptation of the mingled craving scent, tilting his head back with Jin Chen's hand, and elegantly, slowly swallowed the small half-cup of red wine mixed with Jin Chen's blood.
After finishing, he only then felt something off; the dazed feeling seemed to intensify, and just as he was about to frown and question Jin Chen, the latter actively embraced him, holding him in his arms, his palm soothingly patting his back.
Saiyin offered no resistance, somewhat docilely curling entirely into Jin Chen's embrace.
So comfortable… don't want to move…
Under the increasingly admiring gazes of the blood servants, and Osdin's growing envy and resentment, Jin Chen hoisted the already somewhat dazed, obediently dependent Saiyin in a horizontal hold, turned, and headed back toward the bedroom.
Upon reaching the doorway, he ordered: "The earl needs rest; without my permission, no one may enter to disturb him."
