Chapter 3085: After Divorce, Forced to Compete with My Ex-Husband for 15
Jin Chen confirmed Chenshu had regained consciousness, then went to check on the others' conditions.
The hallucinating teammates were in various states, the scene once became very chaotic; Chenshu dealt with his old troops and security personnel in a much simpler and rougher way, while Jin Chen squatted beside Steve, curiously observing this star-domain mine owner's hallucination.
Steve clung to the rock, making a strange sound between a wail and a sob, his face buried in the stone's rough surface, mumbling something indistinctly.
Jin Chen moved closer, tilted his ear to listen for a while, and finally made out what he was saying.
"I don't want lots and lots of money! I want lots and lots of love and food......"
Jin Chen: "Tsk." He harbored resentment toward the rich.
He raised one eyebrow, made a figure‑eight with his fingers on his chin, and studied Steve in that pose for a while.
A truly impressive star‑domain mine owner who could buy an entire asteroid with a wave of his hand was, in his hallucination, crying out for love and food instead of money; Jin Chen puzzledly ran through the original plot's description of Steve again in his mind.
【9, look up Steve's specific data.】
He wanted to see just how far the original story could stretch the truth.
【Okay, pulling up the character file…… retrieval complete.】
Jin Chen skimmed through it quickly, and gradually his feelings became subtle.
Slashing blades like hemp, using money to rise above humanity—the original work described it with grave seriousness, as if this mine owner were some heartless demon.
The result was a picky eater to the point of obsession, a big fool who spent lavishly traveling the stars yet never got good food, constantly changing chefs because he couldn't find anything tasty, and the fired chefs spread all sorts of outrageous rumors out of resentment.
Jin Chen decided henceforth to hold a 200% skeptical attitude toward the original work's character descriptions.
He then strolled over to see what Yun Wu was up to.
Yun Wu squatted beside the rock wall on the other side, showing no obvious bodily movements or verbal output like the others, unusually quiet.
But when Jin Chen approached, he realized Yun Wu's quietness wasn't due to mild symptoms; on the contrary, he seemed to have lost all five senses in his hallucination, responding to no external stimulus.
Compared to Chenshu's near‑numb gloom, Yun Wu's state resembled a stubborn insistence on seeking death; he clumsily felt around on the ground for a shard of stone and aimed it at his wrist.
Jin Chen jumped in alarm, turned, grabbed Steve who was still hugging the rock and howling on the ground, and shoved him toward Yun Wu.
"Ow…… ow!"
Steve's tall frame lost balance, dragging Yun Wu down with him; the two piled up like a human pyramid, rolling into a heap.
Fortunately Steve was tall and sturdy; as he fell he instinctively braced himself with his hands, so Yun Wu only struck his forehead against Steve's chin, producing a dull thud.
That impact jerked Yun Wu back from the depths of his hallucination; he lay on Steve's chest, blinked, his focus shifting from scattered to focused, while Steve held his chin, grimacing in pain, and stared blankly at the person lying on him when he looked down.
The two stared blankly at each other for a few seconds.
Steve twitched his nose, suddenly sniffed as if he smelled something, and blurted out, "Brother, you smell great."
Yun Wu's face flushed red instantly.
He scrambled, pushing off Steve's chest to get up, forced into a state of mental overload.
Chi Mu called out to him from a few steps away, his voice soft with concern: "Yun Wu bro, are you okay? Anywhere hurt?"
Yun Wu didn't hear him; the tips of his ears reddened almost to the point of dripping blood, he lowered his gaze to his shoes, his mind filled with the hot, hard sensation from just beneath his hand and the echo of "You smell great."
How could there be such a person!
Jin Chen stood to the side, arms crossed in modest concealment, glanced around, then strolled over to Mai Lun and Yan Xu.
Yan Xu's symptoms were milder; he himself was a medical specialist with some resistance to neural interference. Jin Chen walked over, shook his shoulder, made a hand signal in front of him, and Yan Xu quickly broke free of the hallucination, rubbed his temples, nodded at Jin Chen, his voice still weak: "Thanks."
Jin Chen waved his hand, turned, and smacked Mai Lun on the back of the head.
Mai Lun jolted awake from the hallucination, clutched the back of his head, eyes wide, and shouted, "Jin Chen! You bastard!"
Jin Chen spread his hands, shrugged at the nearby broadcast sphere, his tone full of regret.
"Quality really shows the difference."
The comment barrage burst into loud laughter.
Mai Lun glared furiously, but restrained by the camera he couldn't lash out; he only straightened his disheveled collar with gritted teeth and turned his head away.

After everyone woke up, the team regrouped and cautiously continued deeper into the cave.
This time they didn't walk for long.
After turning the bend, they entered a cavern with a vaulted ceiling reaching ten or so meters, thickly hung with stalactites, and in the center of the grotto a massive strange creature lay coiled.
It looked like a giant octopus, but even uglier than one, its skin dark pink, covered in uneven wart‑like protrusions, with several thick tentacles slowly writhing around its body.
A vertical cleft ran down its center, opening and closing with its breath to reveal dark‑red flesh and viscous fluid inside.
: My god, what is this thing!! So ugly!!
: Thanks for the invite, the trypophobia sufferer has already passed away (peacefully).
: Is this the source of the pink mist? Would killing it detoxify us?
: Such a huge one…… how are we supposed to fight it……
: This scene isn't suitable for our Mu Mu! Someone hurry and protect him!
Chi Mu stepped back, ending up beside Chenshu, reached out to grab his sleeve, voice trembling: "Big Brother Chenshu, this thing is really scary……"
But Chenshu had already moved to shield Jin Chen behind him, turned sideways and pushed him toward the corner, saying, "Be good, stay here and don't move around."
Jin Chen was pushed behind a rock; the spot was relatively concealed, with a decent view, allowing him to see the whole grotto's situation.
He assessed the creature's strength; Chenshu could handle it with ease, so he simply chose to hide in the corner: "Fine."
Seeing this, Chi Mu hesitated a moment, then walked over and stood beside Jin Chen.
He glanced at Chenshu grappling with the creature, then at the calm Jin Chen, and said, "Brother Chen, aren't you worried about General Chenshu? Should we go help too?"
Jin Chen shook his head, sincere: "No."
"I have persecutory delusions; right now you'd better stay away from me."
Chi Mu: "?"
He frowned slightly, voice soft: "But this creature is too terrifying; I'm really worried about him……"
"Then you go." Jin Chen interrupted him, even patted his shoulder, tone light, "Come on."
Chi Mu: "……"
