Chapter 3214: Saving the Zero-Egg Bai Ze Love Story 15

~7 min read 1,364 words

What punishment for Bai Ze? Isn't that just a reward for him?

Ji Qi thought that way, feeling sweet inside as he made little plans, he wrapped his arms around Bai Ze's supple waist, turned his head to look at the prepared ingredients on the kitchen counter—the steak was sizzling in the frying pan, the small pot beside was simmering the sauce for the side dishes, and of course there was butter, milk, and cheese.

He blinked at Bai Ze, looking thoughtful, "Can anything be done?"

Bai Ze lowered his eyes at him, reached out to flick Ji Qi's eyelashes, "Anything goes."

He gave that reply verbally, but in his heart he had already imagined what Ji Qi might do.

After all, having experienced being overly nibbled before, he already had a fairly thorough understanding of Ji Qi's appetite. It was nothing more than being held and nibbled a meal, then bitten a few more times; Bai Ze had already quietly prepared himself in his heart, even adjusting his stance silently so that leaning against the island counter would make it easier for Ji Qi to attack.

Unexpectedly, Ji Qi mysteriously loosened his grip, stepped back half a step, and announced solemnly: "Then I want you to cook a bowl of butter cheese sauce by yourself."

Bai Ze was a bit slow to react.

"It's supposed to be French white sauce." Ji Qi especially emphasized, raising a finger and waving it in front of him: "You must strictly control the heat, the whiter the better. This is the punishment content; no cutting corners, otherwise the texture will be much worse."

Bai Ze looked at him somewhat dazedly, but still nodded.

The imagined "punishment" and the three words "cheese sauce" seemed separated by an entire Pacific Ocean, they just didn't match up. But since Ji Qi wanted to eat it, he naturally would go make it.

Bai Ze turned around, opened the fridge, took out butter, flour, fresh cream, and cheese, then took a small milk pot and whisk from the cabinet; while preparing the ingredients he wondered, is the punishment really just this?

Even he himself wasn't quite sure whether this was disappointment or a sigh of relief.

Ji Qi, however, was very much looking forward to it, a hint of smile appearing between his brows and eyes.

His gaze lowered, landing on Bai Ze's back.

Bai Ze stood with his back to him at the stove, the apron strings tied loosely in a sloppy knot at his waist, the two ends hanging down, swaying lightly with his stirring motion—like some silent invitation.

Ji Qi stepped forward a few steps, grabbed that string with his fingers; Bai Ze instinctively wanted to turn his head, but Ji Qi lightly pressed against his waist from behind: "Don't turn around, I'll help you retie it—it's gotten a bit loose."

Bai Ze didn't think much of it, gave an affirmative hum, and continued lowering his head to handle the melted butter and batter in the bowl, slowly adding milk and cheese curds, still pondering that question in his heart.

Could it be that after only a few times of not-so-deep intimacy, Ji Qi has lost interest in his body? Thinking this, his heart felt heavy and dull.

Suddenly, Bai Ze felt the waist string being tightened.

The waist and abdomen were fine, but after the fabric at the chest was tightened, it made his pectoral muscles feel overly constricted, the apron's upper edge lightly lifting and gathering them; the originally loose apron instantly became somewhat… indescribably suggestive.

Ji Qi's handsome eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of aggression appearing; he walked to Bai Ze's side, tilted his head to appraise his handiwork, and satisfiedly curved his eyes.

Bai Ze finally couldn't help turning around to look at him.

Ji Qi immediately put on an obedient expression, smiling innocently: "Is it too tight? Won't it be uncomfortable?"

Being looked at like that by him, Bai Ze's throat moved, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.

He lowered his head to look at the outline the apron had pressed into him, then looked at Ji Qi's harmless smile, feeling that if this continued, he might not finish dinner tonight.

He half-forcefully, half-gently pulled Ji Qi's hand, which was still tugging at the string, down.

"All right, stop playing." He said, his voice tinged with helplessness, "I'll have it ready soon."

Ji Qi withdrew his hand with a smiling expression, a faint light flickering in the depths of his eyes: "Okay."

The cheese sauce was ready soon.

Bai Ze held the bowl and leaned against the kitchen door, asking Ji Qi, who had just come out of the shower in the living room: "What should I pair it with?"

Ji Qi, while drying his wet hair with a towel, quickly walked over a few steps to take the bowl. He lowered his head to sniff the cheese sauce inside; the milky fragrance was rich and warm, the consistency just right. "No other ingredients,"

He raised his head and smiled slightly: "This is for the punishment."

Bai Ze looked at him doubtfully: "Isn't the punishment to cook the cheese sauce?"

Ji Qi seemed to see through his thought, pulled Bai Ze to sit at the dining table; on the table lay Bai Ze's carefully prepared dinner—a steak cooked to perfection, accompanied by greens and cherry tomatoes, the aroma wafting.

But Ji Qi didn't even glance at it, even though he was really hungry.

He sat beside Bai Ze, gently tracing Bai Ze's brows and eyes from the brow bone to the outer corners.

"Wasn't it agreed that anything goes?" Ji Qi said softly, as if coaxing.

The handsome, harmless boy obediently smiled at him, his gold-brown eyes clear and pure, as if without any impurity.

Bai Ze's rationality briefly left home for a few seconds at that moment. Gazing at Ji Qi's face, he nodded as if possessed.

He responded again: "Mm."

Then he heard Ji Qi lean close to his ear, whispering a few words.

Bai Ze's pupils suddenly constricted, his ear tips reddening at a visible speed, his whole face flushing, even his breath hesitating half a beat. A wave of shame flooded over him, engulfing him entirely.

But unfortunately, his rationality had not yet returned.

Or perhaps it's because, having just fallen back into nightmare-like memories from the communication, he urgently craved something to fill those voids; those memories are like abysses, each time he recalls them they pull him down. And intimacy with his lover seems to be the only rope that can let him break free from that.

Bai Ze gazed at Ji Qi's bright, shining eyes, and nodded a second time as if possessed.

The cheese sauce had been cooked to a thick, milky white, exuding an intensely appetizing milky fragrance; it is a perfectly sweet condiment that pairs well with any ingredient.

Ji Qi picked up the dining knife, blade extending into the bowl, scooped a large spoonful of full cheese sauce, then slowly began to spread it onto the delicious dish about to be tasted.

The two pieces of white bread were fluffy and soft; pressing them with the knife would still produce a meaty arc, and when they rebounded they carried a slight tremor.

Especially the two berries dotted on the bread, Ji Qi dipped the knife tip in the cheese sauce and carefully spread it on, making left and right circles, spreading the sauce evenly and generously, simply delicious.

Ji Qi seemed to have turned into a serious chef, spreading slowly, each stroke even and meticulous, focused on letting the deliciousness before him be wrapped in the most perfect sauce.

On the contrary, Bai Ze, whose chef identity had been snatched away, still wore the apron—of course, only that loose apron. He stood there, bullied by the novice chef into going limp on one side, his fingers gripping the table edge tightly.

Soon, the ample cheese sauce could no longer cling to the bread, gradually showing a tendency to drip; the rich white sauce slowly trailed down the bread's edge, pulling fine white threads in the air, about to fall.
