Chapter 136: Can We Stop Making a Scene?
The temperature in Kyoto dropped sharply tonight; it was sleeting earlier, but now snowflakes have begun to drift down.
The atmosphere in the stairwell was even colder than the snowy weather outside.
Sheng Yu stared at Zhu Yuan's gradually reddening eyes and suddenly smiled—a smile cold to the extreme. "This time, I specifically won't use them to threaten you."
He suddenly leaned in close again, forcefully lifted her chin, and lowered his head to capture her lips.
The fierce kiss plundered all the air from Zhu Yuan's lungs.
The man's firm bridge of his nose pressed against hers; she was kissed until she couldn't breathe, her mind gradually going blank, and she let out sounds uncontrollably.
In the empty, deserted stairwell, it was especially ambiguous and intoxicating.
Sheng Yu opened his eyes to look at her, his gaze bottomless, and bit a mark into her lower lip.
Zhu Yuan struggled in pain, forced to lift her head to meet his gaze.
"Do you still want to draw a line between us?"
Zhu Yuan's small face was held in his grip, her eyes filled with anger. "I don't like you."
A cold laugh spilled from Sheng Yu's throat.
He tightened his hand on the back of Zhu Yuan's neck, forcing her to lift her face higher to match his height, making it easier for him to lower his head again to demand a kiss.
Her lips were kissed until they were red, swollen, and pouting, yet Sheng Yu remained relentless, asking hoarsely, "Do you still want to..."
"I don't like you!" Zhu Yuan interrupted him, her raised voice sounding hoarse and soft.
Her hair was ruffled, tears hung from the corners of her eyes, and she looked like someone who had been bullied severely.
Yet she stubbornly held onto a spark of defiance, igniting Sheng Yu's anger.
"You don't need to repeat it over and over!" Sheng Yu gripped the back of her neck, red bloodshot veins spreading in his dark, heavy eyes; his gaze wandered over her face before finally fixing on her eyes, and he said softly, "Otherwise, it makes me feel like you're brainwashing yourself."
He pressed her against the door, pinned her hands above her head, and kissed her unscrupulously.
Until he had kissed the person in his arms into submission, and she dared not say another word he didn't want to hear.
The snow fell heavier and heavier.
In the quiet of the night at the Hot Spring Villa, the sound of splashing water came from the steaming hot spring pool, along with the woman's whimpers suppressed between her teeth.
A snowflake drifted in through a gap in the window and landed on Zhu Yuan's eye.
She closed her eyes, and that snowflake melted into hot tears that slid from the corners of her eyes.
The man's slightly rough, warm fingertips brushed past, wiping away that teardrop. "It was you who provoked me first at Lu Huaizhan's funeral; don't even think about drawing a line with me."
Because he had been drinking, combined with the stimulation of Zhu Yuan's words, the man's demands all night were wild and unrestrained.
"Do you want to like me?" His dark eyes were as deep as an abyss.
Zhu Yuan's hair was dampened by the hot spring water and sweat, sticking to her cheeks; meeting those dark eyes, she closed her own, stubbornly refusing to say a single word.
Sheng Yu sneered, picked her up, and tormented her ruthlessly.
Until Zhu Yuan couldn't hold out any longer and bit down on his shoulder, drawing blood, but Sheng Yu only laughed and pinched her chin to kiss her.
When dawn broke, the entire Hot Spring Villa was blanketed in silver, with thick snow piled up.
In the room with the heater on, under the dark blue quilt, Sheng Yu held the soft woman in his arms and kissed her reddened eye corners; she hadn't been able to withstand his plundering in the second half of the night and had cried the whole time.
She just refused to give in and say she liked him.
When Zhu Yuan woke up, there was a glass of warm water and a piece of Medicine on the bedside table.
She took the Medicine and got up to go to the walk-in closet to change clothes, but she didn't expect Sheng Yu to be there.
He had his back to her, taking a coat from the wardrobe.
As soon as she saw him, she turned around instinctively.
Before she had taken a few steps, her waist was caught by the man's powerful arm, and her back pressed against his warm chest.
Sheng Yu's chin rested on her shoulder; satisfied, he was in a good mood, his voice hoarse and low, carrying a hint of coaxing. "Can we stop making a scene? You have the day off today, don't you want to sleep a little longer?"
Zhu Yuan's chest tightened; he actually thought she was making a scene.
Knowing she couldn't break free from his restraint, Zhu Yuan simply gave up struggling; the man turned her around and stroked her messy hair. "Qi Jing wants to invite us to dinner."
Zhu Yuan had saved Qi Qi at the Horse Racing Track before, and the Qi Family wanted to thank her.
But for the past while, Zhu Yuan had been busy with rehearsals for a new play and the subsequent performances, so she hadn't had the time.
Qi Jing had called Sheng Yu early in the morning to give him a heads-up; knowing how insane Sheng Yu's possessiveness was, he only said he was inviting them to dinner, not daring to say he wanted to invite Zhu Yuan.
Zhu Yuan didn't speak.
Sheng Yu wasn't annoyed, knowing her stubborn temper had flared up again. "Change your clothes and eat something, and I'll take you."
Zhu Yuan didn't even look at him; she opened her visibly swollen lips and said hoarsely, "I'm not going."
"If you're not going, tell Qi Qi yourself. The rest of the Qi Family doesn't matter, but Qi Qi has been looking forward to seeing you for days." Sheng Yu stared at her face.
She liked children so much.
As he spoke, Sheng Yu took out his phone and dialed Qi Jing's number.
"Tell Qi Qi to answer the phone," Sheng Yu said to Qi Jing on the other end, looking at Zhu Yuan.
He tapped the speakerphone.
Qi Qi's milky, childish voice came through: "Uncle~"
Sheng Yu hummed, one hand forcefully wrapping around Zhu Yuan's waist. "Qi Qi, Auntie Yuanyuan has something to say to you."
Hearing the name "Yuanyuan" come from his mouth, Zhu Yuan felt a pang in her chest.
Qi Qi on the other end of the phone called out excitedly: "Auntie Yuanyuan!"
"Eh..." Zhu Yuan was a bit flustered; her face, which had been cold a second ago, suddenly went blank because the child called her Auntie. Seeing her rare dazed look, Sheng Yu couldn't help but keep his eyes fixed on her face.
Since she couldn't run away anyway, Sheng Yu simply held her waist against the wall, his gaze becoming increasingly unscrupulous.
"Auntie, Daddy said we will have dinner together, you will come, right? Qi Qi misses you so much!"
Facing such an adorable Qi Qi, Zhu Yuan couldn't bring herself to say she wouldn't go, so she unconsciously softened her voice and said slightly hoarsely: "Auntie will definitely go, be a good girl, Qi Qi."
Sheng Yu is acting inhuman, what does that have to do with the child?
After changing her clothes, Zhu Yuan sat at the dining table holding Feiyuan and drank a bowl of porridge to line her stomach.
Feiyuan lay on her lap, very well-behaved.
Suddenly, a tall figure approached, and Zhu Yuan instinctively hugged Feiyuan tighter in her arms.
However, Sheng Yu was not there to snatch Feiyuan away; instead, he walked over, took Zhu Yuan's left hand, and put back on the red agate bracelet that had fallen from her wrist into the Hot Spring Villa pool last night.
Looking at the empty bowl in front of her, he asked, "Do you want another bowl?"
Zhu Yuan did not speak, but pushed the bowl out a little.
She lowered her head to stroke Feiyuan's head, and Feiyuan lifted its round head and rubbed it against her palm; "You can't eat any more, if you keep eating you'll turn into a pig."
Sheng Yu pressed his thin lips together.
So she just refuses to speak to him, is that it?
Just then, Situ walked in from outside.
As soon as he saw that Zhu Yuan was also there, his footsteps faltered, intending to retreat.
"What is it?" Sheng Yu asked.
Situ walked back, "Young Master Yu, people from the Dong Family are blocking the entrance to the Hot Spring Villa."
