Chapter 202

The family elder nearly vomited blood and fainted...

But there was no way out; matters had come to this, the incident had already occurred, what else could he do?

He could only wave his hand, telling Gu Yue Fang Yuan to go down and await punishment!

As for the punishment?

Gu Yue Fang Yuan merely sneered...

And at this moment, the scene shifted...

Inside the Mo family.

Gu Yue Mo Chen, that is, the grandfather of Gu Yue Mo Bei and Gu Yue Mo Yan, was at this moment flying into a rage, accusing Gu Yue Mo Yan...

Clearly, they too had learned of Gu Yue Fang Yuan's killing.

"I told you long ago not to meddle with that Fang Yuan, and now look! You went to trouble Fang Yuan, breaking the rules; who knows how many people are laughing at our Mo family! Have your wings grown hard, so you no longer listen to my words? What did I warn you about? Have you forgotten it all completely?" Gu Yue Mo Chen shouted in anger.

That Gu Yue Mo Yan also seemed to understand the Severity of the situation.

Yet she still felt somewhat indignant!

Mainly because this Gu Yue Fang Yuan was too detestable; first he deceived her, she cursed him a thousand times but could not get a word out, and as soon as she left, Gu Yue Fang Yuan emerged and killed that household slave!

It was truly too sinister, too cunning!

"This Fang Yuan is precocious; if he were not of Grade C aptitude, he would have long become part of our Mo family branch..."

Gu Yue Mo Chen spoke, then immediately said: "Someone, bring up that wooden box!"

Watching the servant bring up the wooden box, Gu Yue Mo Yan was somewhat surprised and instinctively asked: "Grandfather, what is this?"

"Want to know? Open it and see!" Gu Yue Mo Chen said silently.

Upon hearing this, Mo Yan instinctively stood up, lifted the lid, and looked inside...

Then her face changed wildly; she felt a wave of nauseating bloodstench rush toward her, and she gagged once, vomiting on the spot!

Inside was nothing other than the flesh and blood of that household slave!

Provocation!

It was simply provocation!

"This box was placed by Fang Yuan at the back door early on!" Gu Yue Mo Chen said calmly.

"He..." Mo Yan was greatly shocked, her body trembling uncontrollably.

She never expected that she merely wanted to teach Gu Yue Fang Yuan a lesson, yet the matter had progressed to this point?

"Too arrogant, simply provocation!" Mo Yan's face turned ugly, and she went to seize Fang Yuan...

"Fool, stand right there!"

Gu Yue Mo Chen merely snorted coldly and slammed the table heavily!

"Grandfather?" Mo Yan was stunned, somewhat puzzled.

Gu Yue Mo Chen pointed at his own granddaughter, furious: "It seems all these years of training were in vain; dealing with a First-Refined Gu Worm Master, you not only mobilized great forces but were led around by the nose the whole time! Blinded by anger, do you not yet understand Fang Yuan's intent?"

"What?" Mo Yan was bewildered.

"If Fang Yuan wanted to make a big scene, he would have simply placed the box at the main gate; why place it at the rarely visited back door?" Gu Yue Mo Chen countered.

"Could he be seeking reconciliation? But how is this reconciliation? Even if it were reconciliation, he should apologize in person; sending this box is provocation!" Mo Yan said.

Gu Yue Mo Chen said softly: "He wants reconciliation, yet it is indeed provocation! This box is small; it cannot hold a complete body, only part of one. He wants to tell us he does not wish to make a big scene; if our Mo family still clings to this, he will scatter the remaining flesh and blood at the main gate, making the matter explode completely. At that time, both sides will suffer; our Mo family broke the rules first, so our reputation will surely be damaged, followed by attacks from the Clan Head's branch and the Chi family branch!"

"Combining softness and hardness, advancing and retreating with measure—this is Fang Yuan! This boy is not simple!"

Mo Yan was dazed: "This boy has such thoughts? He is only fifteen years old!"

"Heh!"

Gu Yue Mo Chen sneered: "Otherwise, what do you think?"

Mo Yan was shaken, yet still felt it somewhat incredible...

"This matter started because of you; how do you think it should be handled?" Gu Yue Mo Chen looked again at Gu Yue Mo Yan...

Mo Yan shook her head, not knowing what to say.

Gu Yue Mo Chen said gravely: "Since this matter started because of you, I, your grandfather, will punish you with seven days of confinement; thereafter, you will no longer seek trouble with Fang Yuan! As for Gao Wan, a mere slave who offended his superior, his crime warrants death! Because he was our Mo family's household slave, our family failed to discipline him properly, so we will compensate Fang Yuan with thirty Spirit Stones! As for Gao Wan's family, compensate them with fifty Spirit Stones and expel them from the manor!"

Mo Yan took a deep breath and finally responded gravely in agreement!

And all of this...

Inside the restaurant, Gu Yue Fang Yuan drank wine, gazing at the misty rain outside the window; a faint smile curled his lips...

"Unless something unexpected happens, from now on, the Mo family will no longer seek trouble with me!"
