Chapter 413: Send! Ignite Wall Street's Heart!

~7 min read 1,228 words

The air in the apartment seemed to have turned solid.

Everyone held their breath, their gazes fixed on Zhang Qianru and the hellish Cooperation agreement before her that could overturn Wall Street's power structure.

Those few pages now felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.

Zhang Qianru's face flushed red then turned pale, her chest rising and falling slightly.

She is a student studying legal statutes within Princeton's ivory tower, planning to join a top law firm after graduation, start as an assistant, earn a yearly salary of several hundred thousand dollars, and become a Wall Street elite.

But now, Lu Qingshan has her not interpret the law, but use the law to forge a guillotine capable of beheading an emperor.

It is a scene she never imagined, a clash inside her of a Fear of touching a taboo and the excitement of Creating History, raging wildly within her body.

"What?" Lu Qingshan's voice was light, yet clearly reached her ears, "Scared?"

Zhang Qianru jerked her head up, meeting Lu Qingshan's deep eyes.

There was no urging, no pressure, only a calm question, as if asking her "How's the weather today?"

But it was precisely this calm that gave her boundless strength.

She inhaled deeply, sweeping away the timidity born of books and classrooms, replaced by an unprecedented sharpness.

"No." Her voice was soft yet decisive, "I'm just thinking which federal statute to use as the opening of this Explanation document so that they, upon seeing the first line, will be scared enough to wet their pants."

After speaking, she ignored everyone, pulled a chair over, placed Li Junjie's laptop before her, her ten fingers flying as she began typing on the keyboard.

Throughout the apartment, only the crisp sound of keys remained.

Li Junjie, David Cohen, and Lu Qingjun watched Zhang Qianru as if staring at a monster.

They saw that this usually charming, versatile beautiful girl now bore no expression, her focused and cold demeanor like a craftsman meticulously sharpening a killing weapon.

Li Junjie leaned in quietly, watching the rapidly scrolling text on the screen.

He glanced once and felt the hairs on his back stand up.

Zhang Qianru wrote no emotionally charged words; the entire document consisted of the coldest, most objective legal terminology and statutory citations.

She divided this Explanation document into four sections.

Section One: "Preliminary Legal Opinion Letter Regarding Morgan Stanley Chief Executive Officer Mr. John Parker's Suspected Violation of Federal Law".

She used the most concise language, perfectly linking the chain of evidence, clearly stating that Mr. Parker's actions constituted multiple felonies such as "conspiracy to murder," "interstate purchase of violent services," and "financial fraud."

Section Two: "Assessment of the Potential Destructive Impact of the Above Conduct on the Morgan Stanley Group".

In this part, she detailed the joint investigations the company would face from the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the FBI, and the Department of Justice, the likelihood of its banking license being revoked, and the inevitable cascade of class actions that could evaporate more than ninety percent of the company's market value.

Section Three: "Analysis of Joint Liability for Board Members' 'Willful Blindness'".

This was the most vicious chapter. Zhang Qianru cited the harshest provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, explicitly stating that from the moment board members received this email, they became "informed persons." If they chose to conceal or shelter, they would share all criminal and civil liability with John Parker.

"My God..." David Cohen covered his mouth, lowered his voice in awe, "She's not writing an Explanation document; she's delivering a final ultimatum to those twelve directors: 'Either you die, or Parker dies!'"

And the title of the final section made even Lu Qingjun gasp sharply.

Section Four: "Proposed Crisis Management Process and Timeline".

Within it, Zhang Qianru even "thoughtfully" designed a complete set of procedures for the board: convene an emergency board immediately, suspend all of Mr. Parker's duties, establish an Independent Investigation Committee, and proactively report to the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the FBI.

She even added at the end, "To demonstrate your company's Sincerity in resolving the issue, the above process should be initiated within six hours of receiving this email."

"Sister Qianru... you're... that's too ruthless!" Lu Qingjun clicked his tongue, "You even set the meeting time for them?"

Zhang Qianru paused her typing, lifted her head, adjusted her glasses, and a cold glint flashed behind the lenses.

"To deal with thugs, you must know the rules better than they do, then use the rules to crush them."

Thirty minutes later, a legal noose deemed perfect was completed.

Zhang Qianru pulled the USB drive out and handed it to Ye Ning.

Ye Ning took it, sat silently before her computer.

Her fingers danced on the keyboard, spawning complex code windows on the screen.

She was building an untraceable email-sending matrix, each email hopping through dozens of proxy servers across various countries before finally being dispatched from a null address.

"We've located the private email addresses of the twelve directors."

"The thirteenth, the official reporting channel of the SEC, is also ready."

Ye Ning lifted her head, looking at Lu Qingshan.

The whole team's gaze once again focused on Lu Qingshan.

All preparations are complete.

Just awaiting his order.

Lu Qingshan walked behind Ye Ning, staring at the thirteen recipient addresses on the screen.

Each name behind it represented the supreme authority at the pinnacle of Wall Street's hierarchy.

And now, their fate, within this tiny apartment, is decided by a single "Send" button.

Lu Qingshan showed no hesitation, softly uttering two words.

"Send."

Ye Ning pressed the Enter key.

On the screen, thirteen green "Send Successful" notifications flashed by.

Having done all this, Ye Ning closed every window, deleted all operation logs, the whole process flowing smoothly in under ten seconds.

In the apartment, the tensioned string finally loosened.

David Cohen plopped onto the carpet, feeling all his strength drained.

Li Junjie removed his glasses, rubbed his temples hard, his brain throbbing from prolonged excitement and tension.

"Brother, this time... it should be finished, right?"

"Alright." Lu Qingshan walked to the bar, personally uncorked a bottle of champagne, golden liquid rising with fine bubbles in the glass, "Now we can celebrate."

"To our forthcoming victory."

However, his words had just ended.

A piercing ringtone sliced through the apartment's newly eased atmosphere.

It wasn't an encrypted phone, nor Ye Ning's communication Terminal.

It was the non‑encrypted private phone that Lu Qingshan kept on the sofa, the one he used daily.

On the screen, a number from Hong Kong Island was flashing.

Li Fuying.

Lu Qingshan frowned slightly and answered the call.

As soon as the call connected, Li Fuying's voice, filled with extreme shock and a hint of panic, burst out of the handset.

"Qing Shan! What on earth did you do in New York?!"

Lu Qingshan's hand holding the wine glass froze mid‑air.

"Mr. Li, take your time, what happened?"

"Take my time? The sky's about to collapse!" Li Fuying's voice, agitated, slipped into a higher pitch, "Just a minute ago! At the Rockefeller family's office, David Rockefeller's Chief Assistant called me personally! He named me by name and demanded your contact information!"

"He said Morgan Stanley had a massive incident, that this matter concerns the very survival of Wall Street, and he must speak with you immediately!"
