Chapter 9: New King!

Another male lion among the brothers bore two long claw marks on its face, resembling a scar and giving it a more ferocious look.

Roar!

Dao Ba Lian let out a roar and then lunged forward without hesitation.

Chen Mo swiped the red‑haired male lion beneath him, clawing its entire face until it bled, then, without lingering, fled.

The red‑haired lion had essentially lost its fighting ability; facing Dao Ba Lian head‑on, Chen Mo also had a great chance of winning.

But to be safe, Chen Mo still planned to wear down Dao Ba Lian first.

Yet after only a few steps, an unexpected scene unfolded before Chen Mo!

Lion Sister Ai Sha suddenly charged at Dao Ba Lian!

It wanted to help Chen Mo fight the male lion, even though its strength and size were vastly inferior! Seeing this, Chen Mo felt moved yet inevitably a bit angry.

Lion Sister was simply making things worse! Without hesitation, Chen Mo turned and charged at Dao Ba Lian.

Facing Ai Sha lunging at him, the male lion cleanly knocked her down.

The power gap was truly enormous! Yet just as it prepared to bite the clueless cub to death, a massive force from its side struck, literally blasting it away! "Die for me!"

Chen Mo's fury burned within, and he swung his forepaw with all his strength at Dao Ba Lian.

At that moment, the two latent energies in its abdomen stirred.

The two energies surged like boiling water, rushing toward Chen Mo's claw.

In the next instant, Chen Mo felt his forepaw brimming with power, and a faint white flash flickered on his claw.

Fast! Too fast! Empowered by the mysterious energy, the lion claw swung so swiftly that Dao Ba Lian couldn't react or dodge!

The next second, the sharp claw sliced the belly of Dao Ba Lian as easily as a knife cutting thin paper.

Truly gut‑ripping! "What was that just now…"

The claw's power far exceeded Chen Mo's expectations; those two internal energies could instantly unleash such force! He closed his eyes, sensed that after the burst, the faint energies had vanished without a trace.

The red‑haired lion, terrified by the sight, fled immediately! Even wandering the plains is better than facing this cub.

This cub is unbelievably terrifying! So ferocious!

Watching the red‑haired lion scramble away, Chen Mo chased, pounced, and bit its neck off.

Mercy toward the enemy is cruelty toward oneself.

Survival of the fittest is the law of this plain!

Roar! Accompanied by a youthful yet domineering lion's roar, it announced the lion king's throne had changed.

This land has welcomed a new master! Though its mane hasn't grown yet, its claws are already sharp enough!

Awooo~

Lion Sister walked in front of Chen Mo, letting out a coquettish, remorseful roar.

The previous wave not only failed to help, it actually made things worse.

But seeing its own little brother besieged by two adult male lions sparked a fire in its heart, unable to resist fighting alongside him.

At this moment, it truly realized its brother's strength.

Defeating two male lions single‑handed and killing them both makes it the undisputed lion king! "Aoo~"

Chen Mo, as if petting a cat, extended a paw to stroke Lion Sister's head in comfort.

Ai Sha's fur felt great, fluffy and pleasant to pet.

At this moment, Chen Mo no longer harbored resentment toward Ai Sha; he felt only moved.

Lion Sister's courage was commendable.

"Aoo~" Ai Sha glanced at the scars on Chen Mo's back and gently licked them.

Its saliva is the most primitive disinfectant.

Roar~

Soon, Lion Mother and three other lionesses gathered around.

Lion Mother recognized Ai Sha and quickly realized that this cub who had slain two male lions alone was her other child, "Xiao Quezi"! Yet she couldn't comprehend what had happened to Xiao Quezi in just over a month to become so strong!

Finally, Lion Mother chose to stop thinking, lowered her head slightly, and crouched in front of Chen Mo.

Within the pride, strength reigns!

Xiao Quezi, with his own might, defeated the lion brothers, making him the undisputed lion king!

The other three lionesses also successively crouched before Chen Mo.

Seeing the four lionesses "submitting" to him, Chen Mo felt slightly embarrassed and speechless.

According to tradition, after a young male lion defeats the old lion king, most lionesses in the pride usually submit to the new king.

But the problem is—

Among the four lionesses now submitting to him, one is his "mother" and the other three are his "godmothers"!!! Yet Chen Mo quickly stopped pondering this.

The most important thing now is to get stronger! Get stronger!

With the titles earned from self‑discipline challenges, he can repeatedly push his limits and become a truly extraordinary being! The white and green titles are already powerful; higher‑rank titles have unimaginable effects! Perhaps one day he'll even evolve to a body that can withstand nuclear blasts! As for the two mysterious energies that erupted inside him earlier, Chen Mo also plans to replenish them quickly with meat; that is currently his biggest trump card.

After returning to the pride's territory, Chen Mo began to leap.

After completing the "Observe Lion" challenge, the newly refreshed self‑discipline challenge entry is "Fat House Happy Lion".

"Fat House Happy Lion" (green).

Drink 20 bottles of over 300 ml cola each day for a month.

When he saw this self‑discipline challenge, Chen Mo was actually a bit stunned.

Can drinking cola every day really count as self‑discipline?

And it's a green self‑discipline challenge, so the effect must be decent.

Unfortunately, I cannot complete it now.

Since his rebirth, he has not yet seen a human.

Furthermore, even if he did encounter humans, Chen Mo did not want to make contact with them at this time.

As a former human, he knows this is a creature countless times more terrifying than wild beasts!

Chen Mo now feels strong, but he does not think he can endure the baptism of gunfire.

If its abnormality were discovered, unless he died, there would likely be no peaceful days left! So after wavering between the Cleaning Lion and the Jumping Lion, Chen Mo ultimately chose the 【Jumping Lion】.

Just like his previous small-step self-discipline, Chen Mo's jumping self-discipline still adopted a lazy way.

Its jump height is very low each time, looking like it's shaking its head and swaying its body, just like it's dancing to electronic music.

Beside them, Aisha and the lionesses watched Chen Mo hopping up and down, thought for a moment, and then immediately joined the team.

The lionesses knew that their lion king was somewhat different from ordinary lions.

Not only in age and size, but also in his strange behavior.

Before, he always took small steps every day, but now he's hopping—could this be some special training method?

Perhaps this is the reason it could grow so quickly in just over a month!? The lionesses all had the same thought, so they successively chose to join.

If anyone saw this scene, they would surely be stunned.

what!? A group of lions on the grassland are doing a disco dance!?
