Chapter 80: Exercising Boyfriend Rights: Mouth-to-Mouth Resuscitation

~7 min read 1,384 words

"Sure, no problem!"

When Wang Chuan put on the new light purple T-shirt Lu Na bought and walked out of the bathroom, he felt a bit flashy.

"It's fine, Wang Chuan. Your skin is fair; otherwise, you couldn't pull off purple."

Wang Jia's teasing laughter.

"Wang Chuan, my cousin bought a lot of groceries and suggested making dinner. How about we cook and eat at home tonight?"

Lu Na glanced at Wang Chuan a few times, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Sure," Wang Chuan replied.

Wang Jia was spreading the ingredients from the shopping bags on the kitchen counter: pork ribs, winter melon, pork...

"Wang Chuan, you watch TV. My cousin and I will cook. I'll go take a shower first."

"Nana, you don't need to cook. Wang Chuan and I will cook."

After Wang Jia finished speaking, she glanced at Wang Chuan with her peach-blossom eyes.

Wang Chuan actually knew how to cook, but refusing directly now wasn't necessary; whether he cooked or not didn't require Wang Jia's arrangement.

He said, "Wang Jia, I can't cook; I only know how to eat."

"You..." Wang Jia glared.

Lu Na, standing nearby, mediated: "Cousin, that's not good. Originally, I was treating everyone to a meal. Now having guests go to the kitchen to stir-fry is unacceptable."

In the end, the three people's dinner consisted of winter melon stewed with pork ribs, stir-fried cauliflower with sliced meat, salted shrimp, and stir-fried spinach.

Lu Na praised, "Cousin, you're amazing. You made all three dishes and the soup."

"Wang Jia, next time let's get an induction cooker at the Intern Dormitory. We'll buy the groceries, and you'll be the chef."

Wang Chuan was very surprised; he originally thought Lu Na, who rented the place, was good at cooking, but he didn't expect Wang Jia to be even better.

"I only showed off because you invited me and Lu Na to the Bar," Wang Jia touched her cheek. "I'm not willing to stir-fry every day; the oil smoke is bad for the skin."

Lu Na laughed, "Cousin, then marry a rich person so you don't have to cook; a housekeeper will do it."

Wang Chuan deliberately said, "Your cousin has people chasing her; I know at least two: Li Wei and Luo De. Wang Jia, if you marry either of them, a housekeeper will cook."

Wang Jia rolled her eyes at Wang Chuan and said coldly, "Yes, I want to marry a rich person! Wang Chuan, you're not qualified."

"It's fine, I like cooking," Lu Na raised her eyebrows, glanced over, and put the peeled shrimp into Wang Chuan's bowl.

Wang Chuan saw that the shell of the salted shrimp was all in front of Lu Na's rice bowl; he had eaten the entire bowl of salted shrimp himself.

He quickly changed the subject: "Wait, how long will you stay at the Bar? Zhang Yang, the attending physician, and the others and I are going to watch the European Cup Opening Match at dawn before going back. Tomorrow is Day Shift, and we have a Night Shift."

"Then my cousin and I will be back by Midnight. We both have Day Shift tomorrow," Lu Na replied.

"Fine. It's so late; you two should come back together so you can look out for each other."

At 8:50 PM, on Sanjiang Road, the doors of Nanshan Blue Fire Bar were not yet open.

There were still firecracker papers from the noon opening ceremony on the ground. Wang Chuan led Zhang Yang, Lu Na, and others around to the back door, took the key from under a stone brick, and opened the back door.

Leading everyone into the Bar, he found a booth to sit in, then stood up and left for the second floor, saying he needed to greet some acquaintances at the Bar.

Wang Chuan walked into the Manager's Office on the second floor.

Lin Weiwei said with a smile, "Manager Cao, this is Wang Chuan. He is one of the Bar's important Shareholders and serves as Deputy General Manager, but he usually works at the Hospital."

"Hello, Manager Cao Te." This thirty-five-or-six-year-old Bar manager politely extended his hand.

Wang Chuan also showed a smile on his face. After greeting Manager Cao Te, Lin Weiwei said again, "Manager Cao, you go get busy first."

"Cao Te has worked in several Bars in Guangdong Province. He is a local from Mingzhou. His parents are old, and he doesn't want to mix it up in a foreign land. He accepted my invitation; he is an experienced Bar manager."

"By the way, I need to go socialize for my mother later. I'll be back before Midnight. Will you still be here then?"

Wang Chuan nodded and said, "The IOU for fifty thousand yuan. I came over to sign."

"Why do you need fifty thousand yuan all at once?" Lin Weiwei was confused when she received the call at noon, but since the person speaking was Wang Chuan, it was equivalent to prepaying ten months' salary, so she transferred it to him.

Wang Chuan only said a friend had encountered an accident and lacked Hospitalization fees.

"A friend? A girlfriend?"

"A man."

"You actually like men?!" Lin Weiwei moved closer to Wang Chuan, looked up, and stared at him.

"What, can't I eat both men and women?" Wang Chuan's lips curled slightly.

Lin Weiwei smiled sweetly: "I thought you would deny it. You always surprise me."

As soon as she finished speaking, Lin Weiwei looked up, her red, fragrant lips lightly touched Wang Chuan's lips, then she turned to leave. "Watch the match together later. There is a large private room for dozens of people on the second floor; everyone watching the live broadcast is there."

"Wait~~"

"What?" Lin Weiwei was about to open the door when her whole body was pulled and pushed by Wang Chuan's big hand, her back pressing against the wall.

Their nose tips touched, their eyes met, and their breaths mingled, messy and scorching.

Lin Weiwei's chest heaved incessantly. Wang Chuan's breath, so close, brushed her cheek. She heard him whisper in her ear: "After teasing me, you want to leave? Anyway, you paid fifty thousand yuan. So let me exercise my boyfriend's rights: mouth-to-mouth resuscitation."

"Wang Chuan, you..."

Wang Chuan lowered his head and precisely sealed the words she hadn't yet spoken; it wasn't a light, superficial touch.

Lin Weiwei's pupils shrank slightly, and her body instantly tensed.

The pressure of the wall came from her back, and her face met Wang Chuan's scorching breath. In an instant, it dissolved all her will to resist.

That muffled cry was completely blocked back, turning into a barely audible whimper.

The sensation of lips touching carried an electric-like numbness that quickly spread from top to bottom.

Wang Chuan's palm firmly encircled Lin Weiwei's waist. The force was neither light nor heavy, but it completely deprived her of any space to retreat.

All Lin Weiwei could clearly perceive was the pressure on her lips and her own heartbeat beating faster and faster: thump, thump, thump, thump.

The feeling of oxygen deprivation began to rise, but a strange, scorching heat surged from deep within her body.

It made her only able to tightly clutch a corner of the fabric on Wang Chuan's back, like a drowning person grabbing the only piece of driftwood.

Lin Weiwei felt a wave of dizziness; her legs grew even softer, and her body slid down involuntarily, saved from collapsing only by Wang Chuan's hand, which firmly supported her waist.

The arm Wang Chuan had wrapped around her waist seemed to sense her weakness; instead of loosening, he pressed her even tighter against his chest.

The wall clock in the room chimed—dong, dong... nine times.

This crisp bell sound dispelled the bewilderment in Lin Weiwei's beautiful eyes.

At this moment, Lin Weiwei's cheeks flushed crimson, her breasts heaving unevenly; she tried to regain her voice and composure, only to find her breath still unsteady.

"Wang Chuan... this artificial respiration of yours... has gone on a bit too long..."

Nothing like her usual mature tone, Lin Weiwei's voice now carried a faint, barely perceptible tremor and hoarseness, her final syllable seeming to stick in the air.

"Manager Lin, the car is outside!"

Lin Dahai's voice came from beyond the door.
