Chapter 98: General Alliance Leader of the Ability User Alliance, a Person from Ancient Times!

"Commander, do you mean... to let Bai Shijing become the General Alliance Leader of our Great Xia Ability User Alliance?"

To be honest, after the Supreme Commander spoke those words, the Alliance Leaders of all the major regions were incredibly shocked, and one by one, they cast their gazes upon Bai Shijing.

They also only just realized now that the Supreme Commander had summoned them not because there was some important mission or powerful Beast that required them to join forces to solve, but to discuss the position of General Alliance Leader!

The Ability User Alliance Leaders from various regions had been doing their utmost to hunt Beasts and protect their respective regions during this time, wasn't it all for the sake of one day becoming this General Alliance Leader?

How could it be that so little time had passed, and the Supreme Commander had already decided on a candidate for General Alliance Leader? "That is correct."

Facing everyone's confusion, the Supreme Commander nodded, confirming the matter, "Nowadays, not only has the world become larger, but the Kongjianliefeng that have appeared in various places have also connected with the original world, and ancient creatures within them are appearing frequently."

"They pose a great threat to the safety of our Great Xia and the people of Great Xia."

"In order for everyone to be able to wholeheartedly deal with these ancient creatures and various Beasts, we must decide on a candidate for General Alliance Leader now to stabilize people's hearts."

As he spoke, he tapped the documents in front of him with his hand, "Just now, I have already read through the records of each Alliance Leader, and you each have a copy in your hands as well."

"After reading them, do you think there is anyone more suitable than Alliance Leader Bai to be this General Alliance Leader?"

Upon hearing this, the various Alliance Leaders fell into a silence.

Their resumes were indeed not as impressive as Bai Shijing's, and the Jiangnan District for which Bai Shijing was responsible had the fewest Beast attack incidents, the fewest personnel losses, and was the first to restore full communications outside of the Imperial Capital.

This terrifying efficiency made the other Alliance Leaders feel ashamed, and they did not know how to refute it.

Finally, one Alliance Leader raised his head, looked at Bai Shijing, and then said to the Supreme Commander, "Since we are to elect a General Alliance Leader, it must be decided based on various conditions."

"Alliance Leader Bai has indeed done well in stabilizing the Jiangnan District and curbing Beasts."

"It's just... what if Alliance Leader Bai encounters a powerful Beast like the Northeast Bear King alone, can he still hold his ground?"

"That's right."

With someone taking the lead, other Alliance Leaders chimed in one after another, "Our Ability User Alliance Leader not only needs excellent command and coordination abilities, but must also have the strength to lead other Ability Users."

"Otherwise, if the overall situation is affected due to one's own strength, it will cause very serious consequences."

"Commander, we don't want to let our brothers follow us to their deaths."

Facing everyone's struggle, the Supreme Commander just smiled slightly, then looked at Bai Shijing, "Alliance Leader Bai, what is your current strength?"

"What realm are you at?"

Bai Shijing just nodded toward the Supreme Commander, then looked at the Alliance Leader who had spoken first, "If you haven't reached Shackle Realm Stage Three, don't speak; after all, you aren't qualified."

Upon hearing this, this person smiled calmly, his whole body revealing the aura of Shackle Realm Stage Four, "Alliance Leader Bai, I just broke through two days ago; can this strength compete with you for the position of General Alliance Leader?"

"Sorry, I am slightly better."

In the next second, Bai Shijing's aura was revealed, and everyone felt an aura of Shackle Realm Stage Five sweep across the venue, instantly suppressing everyone.

He even looked at the other person with a chuckle, "Who else wants to compete with me for this General Alliance Leader position?"

"It doesn't matter if your resumes aren't impressive; as long as you can beat me, I will hand over this position."

"But... if your resumes aren't as good as mine and your strength isn't as great as mine, yet you want to compete for the position of General Alliance Leader, wouldn't my efforts to stand before everyone have been in vain?"

"Those who are unconvinced, keep it to yourselves; if you can beat me in the future, I will hand over this position of General Alliance Leader."

The more Bai Shijing spoke, the more agitated his emotions became, "Today, I'll put it this way, if you all don't believe me, there is still the Supreme Commander to testify. I'll be waiting for you to challenge me in the Jiangnan District!"

"Good!"

The Supreme Commander actually also hoped for a strong person to be the General Alliance Leader of the Ability User Alliance to intimidate the Alliance Leaders of the various major regions, so he was very satisfied with Bai Shijing's performance, "Since everyone has no objections, then from now on, Alliance Leader Bai Shijing is the General Alliance Leader of the Great Xia Ability User Alliance."

"All Alliance Leaders and Ability Users of all major regions must be under the command of Alliance Leader Bai and may not disobey, otherwise they are enemies of the Ability User Alliance and enemies of my Great Xia!"

"Alliance Leader Bai, are you going to move the Ability User headquarters to the Imperial Capital?"

"This... let's just forget about that, shall we?"

Bai Shijing pondered for a moment, but still rejected this invitation, "The Jiangnan District is basically located in the center of the south; if I can hold the fort there, it will also be convenient to handle various matters in the south."

"As for the north, with you, Commander, personally holding the fort, there won't be any major problems."

"With us echoing each other from north to south, we can definitely make Great Xia stable and prosperous."

"Hahaha, good, that is also fine."

Seeing the Supreme Commander agree, Bai Shijing secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He was unwilling to go to the Imperial Capital precisely because there were soul-type Ability Users in the Imperial Capital; if he were caught having ties with the Snake King, wouldn't he be dead for sure? Therefore, after arriving in the Imperial Capital, Bai Shijing had never taken the initiative to contact Lu Chuan.

"Alliance Leader Bai!"

"Alliance Leader..."

After the meeting ended, Bai Shijing was immediately enthusiastically pursued by the various Alliance Leaders, and one by one they expressed their congratulations to him.

To this, Bai Shijing accepted them one by one, but did not give any clear indication.

He knew exactly why these guys were so enthusiastic toward him.

After dealing with this group of people, Bai Shijing decided to return to the Jiangnan District immediately; on the way, he looked back at the Imperial Capital, this massive fortress, and thought to himself, "Becoming the General Alliance Leader of the Great Xia Ability User Alliance is equivalent to mastering human resources."

"I must go back as soon as possible and ask the boss if there is anything he needs."

"Hehehe."

Qinling, on one of its edges.

While Lu Chuan was establishing the Snake King Palace and letting his subordinates carry out their expansion cause in full swing, he had come here.

Seeing Xiaoqing stop to look for something, he asked curiously, "Didn't you say there was something strange here? But why don't I feel anything?"

"Boss, here... there really are ancient creatures lurking here!"

Xiaoqing was very anxious and hurriedly explained, "That day when I was picking Spirit Fruit, I saw a figure flash by nearby, and it even left some hair on the ground; it was definitely from an ancient creature."

"Could it be... that it hid back into those cracks?"

"Those Kongjianliefeng have already merged with this world, how could it still hide inside?"

Seeing this, Lu Chuan did not blame Xiaoqing, but asked the willow branches spreading from the sky, "Xiaoliu, did you see it?"
