Chapter 733 Farm prep
Michael found himself back in the middle of the desert and heaved a sigh of relief. After finding out that he was smack dab in the middle of the Forbidden Lands filled with Zephyrs, he was worried that one or two of those creatures would suddenly creep up from behind him and explode without warning.
Thankfully though, nothing eventful happened and he obtained the soil he needed from the Elven Kingdom.
He was planning on exploring the Forbidden Lands sooner or later, and maybe even going to the main continent of the Elven Kingdom, but that was for later, at least once all the Dragonborns had awakened their Aubilities. That way, he wasn't alone.
Speaking of which, I'm curious about the supposed power that the Dragonborns were supposed to awaken...
Right now, Sheina was the only Dragonborn to awaken a Diva. And according to her daily reports, nothing unusual had happened during her training.
Do they need to ascend to a certain stage in Body Formation?
He'd just have to wait until the truth came out. The Goddess did say that he should just continue to do what he'd been doing.
Now, I need to set up the farm.
He had the soil, he had the instructions on how to do it. He now only needed the actual subspace itself.
[Pocket Dimension]
-Subspace><
-Isolated Room = 1
-?????
He purchased the upgrade and immediately saw the nanoparticles in
the Drone start to do its work. It floated off of its surface and entered into the miniature doors in the frame, going into the very Pocket
Dimension itself.
After about ten minutes, the upgrade was finally done.
He entered the Subspace, finding himself back in the Control Room.
He turned his head, seeing the room on the very left hand side.
What used to be a room locked like a bank's vault was now completely
wide open, leading to a white space inside.
But before entering the room, he looked at the monitors and the telemetry readings on the computers beside the door.
It was now turned on, showing CCTV footage of the Isolated Space inside. Not only that, but upon navigating the settings on the computer using the given mouse and keyboard, he saw that he could
see a lot of options that he could turn on, like seeing the temperature of the room inside, the humidity, and every other metric that mattered when it came to an enclosed space.
Monitoring the Darkwood would be a lot easier now with these settings.
Then finally, he entered the Isolate Room.
As soon as he stepped inside, he found himself in a completely white
space. There was no visible edge on the walls, making it seem virtually
endless.
But upon walking towards the edge of the wall, he felt an invisible
barrier similar to a solid wall.
Just like the description said, the room's measurements were exactly 10x10x10 feet, just enough for a small farm.
It's time to lay out the soil. According to the experiments, Darkwood needs exactly 2 feet of Elven soil in order to grow its roots.
He took out exactly 200 cubic feet of Elven Soil brought straight from the Forbidden Lands.
A magic circle appeared in front of his palms before a mountain of soil rushed out from his shadow inventory.
After patting it down into an even level, the first part of the farm was
finally finished.
ChatJK5 can you analyze the soil and see if it's in line with the measurements according to the Darkwood Experiments?
It only took a few seconds before his personal Al assistant brought
out her assessment.
[The Elven soil has been preserved well, keeping most of its nutrients and beneficial bacteria ecosystem that the Darkwood requires. However, it still lacks the appropriate moisture and heat that the Darkwood thrives in.]
Before he brought the Darkwood here, he needed to make sure everything was in working order.
For the moisture, a simple sprinkler system would suffice right? [Yes, Michael. Devising a suitable sprinkler system now...]
A few seconds later, a new blueprint was downloaded into his brain.
In order for it to be automated, ChatJK5 implemented a simple circuit
that would spray out water whenever the moisture level of the air and the soil wasn't at a suitable level.
Of course, this needed electricity, which was quite easy. He just
needed a battery, which he had with the Unity Bomb. Mithril combined with all eight elements of mana could create a tremendous explosion. But if it was small enough, it could be an unlimited power
source.
The problem he now had was actually the water source.
According to the experiments, water coming from magic was absolutely prohibited. It would contaminate the Darkwood, causing it
to wilt and die off.
He needed natural water, which meant that he had to build a water
tank inside the Isolated Space, which he needed to refill every few
days.
