Chapter 515: Matching Social Status Is Very Important

Her voice trembled, and her eyes were filled with shock.

"The night before last, she jumped to her death from the temporary rental apartment."

Yu Dazhang repeated it.

"She, she committed suicide..." Wang Lingling's eyes went blank as she murmured to herself:

"No wonder I couldn't reach her by phone. It wasn't that she blocked me; she actually committed suicide. She committed suicide..."

Seemingly unable to accept this fact, she kept repeating it.

Seeing her emotional state was off, Yu Dazhang spoke again:

"Now you understand the severity of the situation, don't you?"

He shouldn't have told Rao Qinyi about Wang Lingling's suicide, as this was also part of the case.

But now he had no choice but to say it; Yu Dazhang could see that Rao Qinyi was still holding back out of loyalty to her roommate.

"How could this happen?"

Rao Qinyi suddenly shouted in accusation:

"She only owed 5,000 yuan; why would she commit suicide? Sha Hui said the interest was only 1,000 yuan; she said she just wanted to teach Wang Lingling a lesson!"

The louder she spoke, the louder her voice became:

"So we were all deceived. Sha Hui wanted her life!"

As if frightened, the girl's eyes were full of fear and unease, and by the end, her voice carried a sob.

At that moment, the door to the inner room opened, and a middle-aged man appeared at the doorway.

Yu Dazhang immediately made a shushing gesture to him and signaled for him to continue staying back.

The man glanced at his daughter, hesitated for a moment, and finally retreated back into the room.

Now that her emotions were finally in place, he certainly didn't want anyone to come and ruin it at this moment.

Yu Dazhang had already been very merciful; under the current circumstances, he had every reason to take Rao Qinyi back to the station for investigation.

Human life is paramount; investigating you for 24 hours would be very easy.

After her emotions had somewhat subsided, Yu Dazhang spoke again:

"Now that you know the severity of the situation, I want you to tell me everything you know."

"Okay." Rao Qinyi took two deep breaths, trying to calm herself down, and then slowly said:

"The boy Sha Hui had a secret crush on came from a very wealthy family; we could all see it. In fact, Sha Hui's liking for him was largely because of his money."

"But that boy liked Wang Lingling, and after the start of the previous semester, the two of them started dating."

Her voice dropped slightly:

"At the beginning, Sha Hui hadn't shown much hatred toward Wang Lingling."

"Until that boy started frequently giving Wang Lingling various brand-name clothes and cosmetics, and even gave her a few luxury items."

Hearing this, Yu Dazhang finally sorted out the matter.

It turned out that Wang Lingling's improved quality of life wasn't due to online loans, but because her new boyfriend was very wealthy.

"We could clearly feel that later, the look in Sha Hui's eyes when she looked at Wang Lingling was filled with hatred."

Rao Qinyi continued:

"Later, the boy's birthday was approaching. Wang Lingling had originally made a small gift by hand to give to him, but Sha Hui mocked her for being poor and shabby."

"Finally, under her instigation, Wang Lingling took out an online loan and used the borrowed money to buy a pair of sneakers to give to the boy."

Speaking of online loans, she frowned and said with some self-reproach:

"I originally wanted to dissuade her, but given the situation at the time, Wang Lingling was indeed in the wrong first, so I chose to remain an observer."

Finally, Rao Qinyi's voice trembled slightly:

"I really didn't expect things to develop to this point. Believe me, I really didn't expect it."

So, having a match in social status is very important... Yu Dazhang couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

He never expected that Wang Lingling took out an online loan just to give a birthday gift.

What brand of sneakers is that expensive?

Can you fly when you wear them?

It's simply incomprehensible!

Yu Dazhang thought of himself again.

It seems he and Qu Tuotuo have a similar relationship, just with the genders reversed.

Her birthday is coming up soon too.

As for the birthday gift...

Forget it; at worst, I'll just sleep with her then.

"Did Sha Hui also instigate others to take out online loans?" Yu Dazhang asked, looking at her.

Putting aside that melodramatic story, looking at Sha Hui as a person, she absolutely doesn't seem as simple as she appears on the surface.

A college student who knows so much about illegal online loans; just that point alone is abnormal.
