First, let me clarify: this wasn't wisdom tooth extraction, and I didn't have a single tooth pulled.

It was a cyst the size of a quail egg growing under my jawbone at the front; the CT scan showed it as a black hole that had already eroded the bone.

Initially, I planned to have local anesthesia so I wouldn't need to stay in the hospital, but the doctor said local anesthesia wouldn't work well—the anesthetic can't reach the bone, and you'd die of pain while the cyst is scraped out.

That sounded terrifying, so I chose general anesthesia.

Later, the doctor proved he didn't deceive me; after the surgery, I almost died from pain, and without staying in the hospital for painkiller injections, I simply couldn't endure it.

Even now, the wound still aches faintly, but it's within a range I can tolerate.

We originally agreed on a one-week hospital stay, but considering the update gap had been too long and I might not be able to return, I decided to be discharged two days early.
