Chapter 715: Discharged
I’m discharged.
I’m discharged.
First, let me clarify: this isn’t wisdom tooth extraction, and I didn’t have a single tooth pulled.
I had a cyst the size of a quail’s egg grow beneath my lower jawbone; when they did the CT scan, it looked like a black hole that had already eroded the bone.
At first, we considered local anesthesia so I wouldn’t have to be hospitalized, but the doctor said local anesthesia wouldn’t work well—the anesthetic couldn’t reach the bone, and you’d die of pain while they scraped out the cyst.
That sounded terrifying, so I chose general anesthesia.
Later, I realized the doctor didn’t lie—I nearly died from the pain after surgery; without being hospitalized and getting painkillers, I couldn’t have endured it.
Even now, the wound still aches faintly, but it’s within my tolerance.
We originally planned for a one-week hospital stay, but since I’d be away too long and couldn’t resume writing, we decided to discharge two days early.
My head is still foggy now, so I’ll stop here.
By the way, I’ll resume updates tomorrow; if I still hurt, I’ll take painkillers—I’ll definitely update tomorrow.
