Chapter 83: Sexy
The editor just notified me that it will be released early this morning.
Are you happy? Anyway, I'm quite happy!
Taking this opportunity of the postscript, I can finally talk to you about the characters. This is the only time; I probably won't respond to questions about the characters again, unless it collapses.
First, about the actresses in my book.
To clarify one point, I am not a fan of anyone. I am not Yang Mi's, not Liu Yifei's, nor Wen Yongshan's or baby's. I don't have fan filters for any of them, but I also don't have any ill will.
I am truly just a passerby in the entertainment industry, the kind that just takes a quick look. Don't label me; I just want to write a story about acting, and them in my mind.
Let's talk about Liu Yifei first.
The point that interests me most about Liu Yifei's experience is that around 2007, she went into seclusion for more than a year.
At that time, she was a popular first-line actress.
When I created this character, my starting point came from this strange behavior of hers.
I want to write out why.
The reason Liu Yifei, who appears in this book, is like that is, as one comment said, like an autistic middle school girl. Because I believe that before she was 18 or 19, she was probably really like that.
In my imagination, her life should have three stages.
First, the pupa.
Entering the Film Academy at 15 and starting to take roles—becoming popular—graduating at 18. In these three years, she should have been in an information cocoon, cared for or supervised to the point of being almost isolated from the world. My inference comes from the fact that wherever she was filming at the time, her mother would follow her. In this situation, could Liu Yifei come into contact with the outside world?
I don't think so.
So how could she not be a middle school student? I think although she was 18 at the time, she mostly had the mentality of a 15-year-old!
Second stage, breaking the cocoon.
I think the year or so of seclusion was the process of her breaking the cocoon.
She must have experienced some changes, which is why she chose to do nothing, and during this time, she broke the cocoon that had surrounded her since she was a child.
Thereby seeing the truth and growing.
Third stage, becoming a butterfly.
In this stage, through more than ten years of slow changes, she became the intellectual and generous Liu Yifei we see today.
So, in the book, what will happen to make her break the cocoon, and what role will Brother Nuo play in it? Under Chen Nuo's influence, what will she grow into, and will she still be this Liu Yifei of the real world?
This is the story of Liu Yifei that I will write later.
Let's talk about Yang Mi again.
The starting point for writing Yang Mi is her contradictions.
In her previous drama *Harbin 1944*, everyone online was saying that she hired an acting teacher and called Qin Hao to partner with her, just because she wanted to act well in this drama and play this character well.
Of course, she ended up receiving a lot of ridicule.
However, I found it very interesting at the time. Because I saw from this action of Yang Mi that she started with idol dramas and traffic, but in the end, she seemed to want to return to being an acting powerhouse, to the point of not hesitating to play a villain? What for?
I can only guess that she is truly persistent and passionate about acting in her heart.
This is very interesting. Since she has such obsession in her heart, why didn't she continue back then? Why did she change paths halfway? Is it money? Or something else? Could something have influenced her? Could something have happened?
This is the story of Yang Mi that I want to write.
Later, there will be new characters appearing soon, who have quite a connection with baby. I also want to write about some emotional entanglements between the two.
That's enough about the characters; let me defend myself a few more words.
A book review said that what I wrote is like a youth romance novel, not like the real entertainment industry, etc.
Indeed.
Because when I started writing this book, I had the guts of a bear, benchmarking against *Literary Era*. Of course, I'm not even worthy of carrying their shoes, but I really didn't intend to write it as fast food.
So, I write about Liu Yifei, Yang Mi, etc., around 18... I think, shouldn't this be a youth romance novel?
If I am lucky enough to write to their 28-year-old selves with your support, rest assured, if I still write a pure youth romance novel like this, I will stand on my head and eat shit.
Let's talk about the issue of Chen Nuo being both a whore and wanting a memorial arch.
He is indeed a shameless person who wants both. He doesn't want to be a scumbag, but he can't control his crotch. However, for the sake of subscriptions, if you don't like it, he can grow... he can grow in any direction. Haha.
The characters are finished.
Finally, emphasize one point: this is not a book written for fans.
I will try my best to bring them to life, but I won't let the protagonist revolve around them.
This is a male lead novel. What the author wants to do is to feel the life of a credible genius actor with everyone.
And how he changed their lives. The story will be told slowly, please read it slowly.
Also, a preview: the new drama that Brother Nuo and the Hong Kong big director are collaborating on is about to be staged, so please stay tuned.
Finally, can I ask for a subscription?
Released at 00:00. I will update 10,000 words first, and another 5,000 during the day.
I will write with my heart. I might not write well, but I definitely won't write randomly to pad the word count and cheat you of your money.
I promise.
Thank you.
PS:
This chapter tonight will be late, and will be released together with the VIP chapters. Because I want more people to see my views on the characters in this postscript. I want to see your opinions. Although I might not participate in the discussion, I will really read and think!
By the way, for those who haven't invested yet, hurry up, there are still more than 7 hours left for you!
