Chapter 181
159, Doflamingo, dead!
Within a ten-meter radius around Doflamingo, whose face was twisted and deformed, the white-sand ground sank entirely under the terrifying force of this impact cannon, as if a giant hammer had struck a block of mochi, carving out a massive deep well in the white-sand surface!
When the shockwave dispersed, Doflamingo lay at the bottom of the white-sand well, drenched in blood, his appearance horrific.
"This punch is for the students who nearly died because of you!"
Zefa stood at the edge of the white-sand well, gazing down at Doflamingo, his expression cold and deadly.
He raised his left fist; his massive muscles bulged violently, veins protruding, qi and blood converging.
Armament Haki hardened, turning his entire arm black as iron.
Spiraling waves of scorching air coiled around his black arm, finally converging entirely upon his fist, as large as a dipper.
"This punch is for the families of my students who died!"
Zefa swung this punch without the slightest hesitation toward the gravely wounded, dying Doflamingo below.
Another punch blast shattered the air, forming an air cannon of crushing force.
It struck Doflamingo with heavy impact.
At this moment, he had no strength left to resist or dodge.
Boom!
The well grew deeper again.
"This punch is for the right arm you took from me!"
Zefa's right-hand grinder unleashed another blow.
The well grew wider and deeper.
"This punch is for those ruined by the evil you've done!"
Boom!
After this punch, the entire white-sand world reverted to normal rocky ground.
Yet Zefa did not stop—he alternated blows with his giant grinder and left fist, causing the earth to tremble continuously,
the deep well unable to withstand it, cracking open, massive fissures spreading in all directions, then collapsing with a thunderous roar; the ground within a kilometer radius suddenly caved in, forming a massive, centrally sloped, shattered pit.
……
The earth ceased trembling.
On the hilltop flower field.
The black-haired boy, standing near Cyrux and Rebecca, eyes closed, smiled and said: "It's over."
"Does that mean the fight is decided? Who won?!"
Cyrux asked urgently.
But Luo En did not answer him; he only said to Ayn beside him: "Let's go."
"Mm."
Ayn nodded.
The two used Shave and vanished from their spot.
Leaving Cyrux and Rebecca standing there, utterly bewildered.
In the end, they still didn't know who that black-haired boy with the black sword at his waist was?
Nor did they know what connection he, the sea-blue-haired beauty beside him, and the former Marine Admiral, Black Arm Zefa, had—or why they had come together to Dressrosa?
What of Doflamingo and the Donquixote Family now?
…………
Luo En and Ayn arrived at the base of the flower-field hill, within the kilometer-wide shattered pit.
Zefa stood there, head bowed, his giant grinder still stained with Doflamingo's blood.
"Master Zefa…"
Ayn called out to him.
Zefa grunted, not turning his head: "What happened to the Donquixote Family?"
"Killed them all."
Luo En said calmly.
"I see…"
Zefa exhaled slowly, a long breath as if expelling all the hatred, bitterness, and rage he had accumulated for so long.
"Master Zefa, what about Doflamingo? Is he dead already?"
Ayn couldn't help asking.
"Still alive."
Zefa looked down at the massive deep well at the center of the shattered pit; at its very bottom, Doflamingo lay in a star-shaped position, his body nearly crushed flat, blood gushing profusely and soaking the surrounding ground.
Luo En stepped to the edge of the pit.
Doflamingo, still barely conscious, stared up at the old man and the boy above him, motionless, even his heart nearly stopped, as if truly dead.
In truth, countless threads inside him were frantically repairing his damaged organs.
"Don't be fooled—he looks dead now, but give him time, he'll recover enough to move again," Zefa muttered, gazing down at Doflamingo at the pit's bottom: "What a tenacious life force."
He turned to Ayn and Luo En: "I've settled all my accounts with him. Ayn, Luo En, the rest is yours."
"Gladly."
Ayn drew her sword without hesitation and slashed downward.
A flying slash widened rapidly in Doflamingo's eyes; he screamed inwardly, forcing his last strength to weave a web of white threads over his body—but it was insufficient to block the slash; his body was cleanly severed at the waist.
Yet Doflamingo did not die—countless threads erupted from the wounds in his body, twisting together, attempting to reconnect his upper and lower halves.
"What an ugly struggle. So the great Heavenly Yaksha, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, fears death this much."
Accompanying Luo En's calm words, he pulled the trigger of the silver revolver in his hand.
Bang!
A streak of silver light pierced through the air, and within Doflamingo's violently contracting pupils, it pierced straight through his brow.
"D-damn it… I… how could I possibly die… how could I die in a place like this…"
"I am… the man who was born to become king…"
"I am… a Celestial Dragon… ah…"
"How could it be… dying at the hands of someone like this… how could I… die here…"
"I won't accept this…!!"
"Luo En, Zephyr!"
Accompanying Doflamingo's final frenzied roar toward the sky, gnashing his teeth as if in a last flash of life,
his consciousness completely dissipated, the bloodshot pupils of his eyes turned gray, and his tenacious vitality vanished entirely.
Those white threads sustaining his life withered like plants in an instant, then vanished without a trace.
At the severed cross-section of Doflamingo's waist, which had been cut in two, without the support of those white threads, a great mass of entrails and fresh blood gushed out, quickly forming a pool of blood.
His body, cleaved in two, lay within this pool of blood, his wide-open eyes filled with resentment and unwillingness.
One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the Heavenly Yaksha, Donquixote Doflamingo.
Dead!
160, A Massive Crisis! "King of Fire" Jinbe!
After Luo En killed Doflamingo with a single shot, there was not the slightest ripple in his heart.
Ever since he had sensed that undisguised malice from Doflamingo back in the day, he — whom Nezumi had identified as having an extremely vengeful nature — had envisioned this very scene countless times in his heart.
But when this scene truly came to pass, when Doflamingo truly died at his hands, his heart was instead utterly unmoved,
Doflamingo, in the end, was nothing special after all…
Unlike his calm, Ain appeared extremely agitated, her eyes moist at the corners, murmuring to herself: "I killed him, finally… revenge is mine."
"Sigh…"
Zephyr let out a long breath: "With this, those who died at his hands can all rest in peace now."
"Mm, definitely!"
Ain nodded forcefully, reaching out to wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes.
Luo En released his grip, letting the silver revolver in his hand fall into the ripple-like void of space before him.
Zephyr turned his head to look at Luo En: "Kid, Doflamingo is already dead. It's time for you to head back."
