Chapter 491

But this time she found me.

She told me this matter was extremely important.

It also decides the future of the entire Hero Association.

Even the future of the entire Earth.

I suppose you know this too.

We will soon face a god-level disaster.

When the extraterrestrial meteor falls,

the entire Earth will be destroyed at once.

So I believed her words.

I agreed to help her with this.

Luo En slightly furrowed his brow.

This god-level disaster had already spread among S-class heroes.

How could these C-class heroes know the details of a god-level disaster?

Moreover, does she even have a way to stop such a disaster? She had never mentioned it to Luo En before.

She said nothing more about this disaster either.

Luo En believed there must be some secret hidden within this.

At the very least, that older sister knew a great deal.

Luo En said.

"Did she only tell you about the god-level disaster? Nothing else?"

Masked Sweetheart shook her head.

"Just this matter has already overwhelmed me.

And precisely because of this matter did I agree to her."

Luo En said, "She is merely a C-class hero.

The lowest rank in the entire Hero Association.

Even her ranking is the very last.

On what grounds do you believe her? I think your statement has no foundation."

Masked Sweetheart said.

"On the strength of her gaze at that moment.

I believe her gaze could not be faked.

Her gaze was extremely resolute.

And it was filled with hope when she looked at me.

At that moment, I believed she was telling the truth."

Luo En said, "As the number one A-class hero in the Hero Association, you actually rely on your intuition.

Don't you think this decision is extremely impulsive? If her actions bring disaster to the entire Hero Association,

can you take responsibility for it?"

Masked Sweetheart did not answer Luo En's question.

Instead, she coldly stared at him.

"Can I leave now? I've told you everything you wanted to know."

Luo En nodded.

It seemed that no more answers could be drawn from Masked Sweetheart.

But one key question remained.

Luo En had held onto it.

That was, what exactly did that older sister know?

He believed he should have a proper talk with her.

Seeing Luo En nod, Masked Sweetheart exhaled in relief.

She walked out quickly.

But it was clear her eyes grew colder by the moment.

Luo En still sent the video to the Hero Association.

He could not shield Masked Sweetheart in this matter.

Then Luo En rushed to the hospital.

The Hero Association received the video.

They immediately summoned a group of staff for a meeting.

But this was a secret meeting; no heroes were invited.

They watched everything Masked Sweetheart had done in the video.

Their expressions gradually darkened.

"It seems we have a traitor within the Hero Association.

We just don't know if he is the mastermind.

There must be someone pulling the strings behind this.

I think we should lay a long line to catch a big fish.

Keep quiet for now, and wait until this big fish surfaces."

Capture them all as well.

One of the men, who looked very elderly, asked with concern.

"But this man is Masked Sweetheart."

He has many abilities."

If even he becomes a traitor,"

"it would be a major blow to heroic conduct."

Masked Sweetheart has always been the face of the Hero Association."

He himself is a celebrity, with countless fans and supporters."

So all the publicity work, big and small, is entrusted to him.

But if even he betrays us this time,"

"then he can never again participate in any future operations."

"Regarding Masked Sweetheart, I believe we should hold several more meetings."

"Then make a final decision."

"We must devise a very appropriate course of action."

"Should we assign other heroes to monitor him?" one man asked.

Another shook his head.

"Masked Sweetheart's strength is extremely powerful."

Although he is only an A-rank hero,"

"his strength is nearly on par with an S-rank hero."

If we send an S-rank hero to monitor him,"

"it would be a massive waste of resources."

"But if we send a hero below S-rank, it would be utterly useless."

"It would only alert him."

One man asked.

"Who sent this video?"

The staff member pulled up some information on the computer.

She said, surprised.

"It's a B-rank hero, ranked in the middle."

"This hero hasn't taken on many missions."

"So we don't know much about him."
