Chapter 605: The Ultimate Kill
"Then let me see what you're capable of."
The Curse regarded Luo En with indifference, utterly unconcerned by his threat.
Luo En stared fixedly at The Curse, his anger rising steadily within him.
This battle had become extremely difficult by now.
Luo En knew that if he continued fighting, he might not truly kill The Curse.
Yet The Curse's power was growing stronger by the moment; this couldn't go on.
Luo En turned to Taiyirang, whose hand holding the blade trembled uncontrollably.
He was desperately resisting the intrusion of those tentacles, but clearly he was about to fail.
He knew his situation was dire.
Those tentacles were steadily consuming his life force and making him exceedingly irritable.
"Hold fast to your conviction; don't let these tentacles disrupt your mind."
Luo En shouted loudly, trying to warn Taiyirang.
Unexpectedly, Taiyirang suddenly lifted his head, his eyes glowing red.
It seemed he had become a bloodthirsty mad demon.
Luo En knew Taiyirang was now nearly under the control of those tentacles.
Luo En stepped forward to stop him, but he was horrified to find Taiyirang's power had grown even greater.
The moment he moved, a tremendous force slammed toward him.
He exerted every ounce of strength to block it, yet he was still flung backward, crashing heavily to the ground.
The Curse watched this scene with a grin.
"See? I don't even need to lift a finger. One thought from me, and he'll kill you."
With that, The Curse regarded the two with keen interest.
He was quite curious to see how these two would slaughter each other.
Luo En barked sharply.
"Stop! It's me!"
Taiyirang's face twisted in struggle; he seemed to regain a sliver of sanity.
But soon, his eyes were once again consumed by red light.
Those tentacles continuously disrupted his thoughts, preventing him from calming his mind.
He swung his broken blade relentlessly, yet now he could no longer think clearly.
"Run away, run away now!"
Taiyirang shouted loudly, hoping Luo En would leave immediately.
He could no longer restrain himself; he had no control over that terrifying controlling force.
Luo En tried to save Taiyirang, constantly moving before him to distract his attention.
Then he swiftly struck, attempting to grasp the tentacles inside Taiyirang's body.
But Luo En knew those tentacles had sunk deep into Taiyirang's flesh; he could not force them out.
Luo En poured nearly all his energy into his fist, then unleashed a thunderous punch.
A massive force transmitted directly into the ground, cracking it open; the terrifying energy hurled Taiyirang back several meters.
Luo En had exhausted every ounce of his cursed energy, yet he felt The Curse's energy had completely suppressed his own.
Even the tentacles were hard to deal with; Taiyirang struggled to rise, his voice nearly desperate.
"Leave now, don't stay here."
"We can't stop them at all."
Luo En shook his head.
"Don't give up until the very last moment."
"Don't give up now—I believe you can defeat those tentacles with your willpower."
The struggle on Taiyirang's face grew even more twisted.
He wanted to defeat those tentacles, but he saw how powerless he had become.
Though he strained with all his might to control his own mind,
the tentacles clearly secreted a substance that suppressed his thoughts, making him increasingly drowsy, yearning to fall asleep.
Luo En's voice reminded him again and again, stimulating his nerves.
Though for a few brief seconds he did regain clarity,
most of the time he sank back into unconsciousness.
The Curse's face showed surprise—he had not expected Taiyirang to still have strength to resist.
This was impossible. The tentacles he released secreted a substance that suppressed thought.
This substance rapidly killed brain cells, turning the victim into a mindless puppet under his command.
Yet he never imagined Taiyirang had resisted the tentacles' assault.
"How is this possible?" The Curse's expression darkened; these two had given him far too many surprises.
But now he had decided to act—he would no longer let them live.
Luo En felt a wave of killing intent emanating from The Curse.
He quickly retreated, pulling Taiyirang with him.
Yet at that moment, he felt Taiyirang's body was burning hot—the tentacles had released vast amounts of energy into him.
"Hold on."
Luo En shouted loudly.
With a loud boom, Taiyilang suddenly rushed toward Luo En at incredible speed.
Luo En was caught off guard; he had intended for Taiyilang to avoid the curse's attack, but had not expected the broken knife in Taiyilang's hand to strike him directly.
Luo En felt a sharp pain in his chest, and a tremendous force hurled him backward.
He crashed heavily to the ground and took a long while to regain his senses.
Taiyilang could no longer suppress the tentacles inside him; he felt as though he had fallen forever into slumber.
Luo En shouted loudly.
"Wake up! Don't let these evil forces control you."
