Chapter 662: Bodies Litter the Ground
Luo En saw the horror ahead; he nearly vomited. Not far from him, corpses lay strewn everywhere, and the air still carried the scent of curses—but he saw no trace of the curses themselves, only the bodies slowly rotting.
The blood had coagulated into a small stream, slowly flowing over Luo En's feet; this sight left him utterly bewildered.
"What happened here?"
Luo En shouted loudly.
Taiyirang said.
"Don't you understand yet? This is the work of those curses. On the surface, they pretend to live peacefully with these people, but in truth, they're still slaughtering them."
They use friendship as a facade while secretly committing these acts. The curses were born evil—they will never become what you imagine them to be."
Luo En stared at the scene; his heart screamed, yet his body trembled. This feeling made him believe he had been deceived—all he had seen before felt like slaps, striking hard against his face.
Luo En suddenly turned and charged toward the castle—he had to find the girl and demand answers—but Taiyirang blocked his path.
"Get out of my way. I must make her explain what's really going on."
Taiyirang said.
"Going to confront her now is like alerting the snake. She'll surely give you an explanation—and it'll be another lie. What we must do now is wipe them all out, leave not a single survivor. We cannot let them continue to live."
Luo En stared at Taiyirang; his eyes blazed with fury, his hand already gripping his sword hilt—he was clearly consumed by rage.
Luo En said.
"But what can we do? Are we going to start fighting again?"
Taiyirang said.
"This battle is inevitable, and I can feel it will erupt soon. We must strike first. Only by catching them off guard do we have any hope of victory."
Luo En furrowed his brow tightly. Something about this felt wrong—but when he thought carefully, he couldn't pinpoint where the error lay.
Yet he sensed Taiyirang's current state was strange: his hatred for the curses was excessive, and he had clearly prepared for this long ago.
Luo En said.
"Do you have a plan?"
Taiyirang replied immediately.
"Of course I have a plan."
He then laid out his plan in detail to Luo En. Clearly, Taiyirang intended to exterminate the curses completely—and many parts of the plan left Luo En stunned.
Luo En thought for a moment and said.
"No matter what, I must go and ask them directly—what are they truly thinking?"
With that, he continued walking toward the castle—but Taiyirang now seemed desperate and immediately blocked him again.
"Don't you understand yet? This is the perfect moment to strike. If they learn of your intentions, our plan will fail—and this is our only chance for victory. Do you want to see humanity slaughtered by those curses?"
