Chapter 716: Outburst

Luo En picked up a shard of the cage.

Although the entire cage was destroyed, the mechanisms on it still remained.

Luo En said.

"I'll draw his attention; you press this shard against him—it should have some effect."

Zuo Tian Yiyun stared at Luo En in shock, glancing at the shard.

Luo En suddenly charged forward.

He unleashed a massive amount of energy, then moved in another direction.

The man glared at Luo En.

Of the two of them, he most wanted to kill Luo En.

So Luo En successfully drew his hatred.

As Luo En moved, the man instantly erupted in a torrent of Phoenix Fire, trying to burn Luo En alive.

Zuo Tian Yiyun seized the opportunity, swiftly sneaking closer to the opponent.

But the blazing Phoenix Fire severely disrupted him.

He felt a pang of soul-pain, but gritted his teeth and held on.

When he placed the shard against the man's body,

he felt the mechanism inside the shard activate instantly.

The man roared.

"Even the entire mechanism couldn't harm me—how could a single shard possibly do anything?"

He violently unleashed a sea of fire, forcing Zuo Tian Yiyun back.

That shard of the cage was precisely the energy-absorbing mechanism.

Previously, a soul-body could suppress this mechanism.

But now those souls had scattered, and the mechanism had firmly settled onto the man's body.

The sea of fire he released was instantly swallowed by the mechanism.

The man was stunned, trying to tear off the shard.

But at that moment, Luo En appeared before him.

Luo En punched the man and sent him flying.

The man rolled several times across the ground before stopping.

He hadn't risen yet when Luo En appeared again, stomping him down with a foot.

"I think this time you're not going to escape."

Luo En could feel the shard continuously draining energy from the man's body.

He looked weaker than ever before.

The man snarled.
