Chapter 75

~7 min read 1,221 words

The door opened.

Luo En appeared before her, wearing a black T-shirt and white knee-length shorts, his figure balanced and slender, his shoulder-length black hair with fine, scattered bangs hanging over his forehead, looking extremely fresh and clean.

With his balanced and slender build and a calm, indifferent demeanor, combined with a face that would absolutely be considered handsome in the world of pirates, he was extremely pleasing to the eye.

Over the course of two and a half years, Luo En had grown much taller.

Compared to Tina, who stood over one meter eighty, he was now only half a head shorter.

"Did you call me over?"

Luo En asked, looking at Tina before him.

Tina, with long pale pink hair cascading over her shoulders, sunglasses perched on her forehead, coldly beautiful and captivating, crossed her arms and nodded at him.

"Then let's go."

Luo En picked up Lei Qie, which was leaning against the side, gripped the scabbard with his left hand, and walked out the door.

The two walked side by side toward the outside of the building; once outdoors, under the sunlight, Tina couldn't help but turn her head to look at Luo En's profile beside her and asked:

"Have you really decided? Won't you reconsider?"

"I have already decided."

Luo En said calmly.

"Is that so..."

Hearing this, Tina's eyes showed a hint of disappointment.

Luo En glanced at her and smiled:

"Although I can't come to Marineford anymore in the future, we can still meet again on the great sea; when that time comes, let's go out and have fun together."

"Mm..."

Marineford.

Headquarters Building.

After bringing Luo En here, Tina did not follow him inside, but waited downstairs instead.

Inside the Headquarters Building, Captain-rank Marines were visible everywhere.

Some were familiar to Luo En, while most were not; the looks they cast upon Luo En varied greatly.

With a calm expression, Luo En, led by a Marine officer, proceeded straight to the Fleet Admiral's office.

Inside the Fleet Admiral's office.

Fleet Admiral Sengoku sat behind the desk; to his left, in three seats, were Vice Admiral Garp and Admiral-candidate Kuzan (Aokiji); to his right, in two seats, were Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Tsuru and Admiral-candidate Sakazuki (Akainu).

When Luo En stepped into the Fleet Admiral's office,

the gazes of these people all fell upon him simultaneously; that oppressive pressure was something ordinary people could not withstand, yet Luo En's expression remained calm and unhurried.

Sengoku, behind the desk, looked at Luo En standing at the doorway, gripping the famous blade Lei Qie, and spoke:

"Luo En, your three years as a specially recruited intern have passed; it is now time for you to make a decision."

Below the Headquarters Building.

Tokiwa, draped in a Justice coat with a long sword hanging at her waist, walked on her pair of long, straight, fair legs toward Tina, who was leaning against the wall, smoking a thin cigarette, and looking up at the sky.

"Sister Tokiwa, your guess was correct."

"He really isn't planning to change his mind, is he?"

Tokiwa asked softly.

Tina exhaled a puff of smoke and hummed in affirmation.

"That is truly a pity."

As Tokiwa spoke, she glanced upward toward the Fleet Admiral's office.

During these two and a half years,

her relationship with Tina and Luo En had grown increasingly close and familiar; the three of them together were like two older sisters raising a younger brother.

Every time the two returned from a mission, they would go to see him.

It could be said that she and Tina had watched Luo En gradually grow up.

And now,

he was about to leave.

In the end, Luo En decided to leave the Marines.

After he made his decision and left Sengoku's office with a decisive demeanor,

"The matter concerning Zeha indeed affected his perception of the Marines..."

Vice Admiral Tsuru said with a calm expression.

Sengoku's fists, resting on the desk, tightened slightly.

Garp sighed.

Akainu merely snorted coldly.

"I said long ago that this intern system is utterly useless waste; if he truly harbored justice, he would have joined the Marines long ago and would not be hesitating."

"If he becomes a pirate in the future, I will be the first to destroy him."

A hint of ferocity lingered in Akainu's eyes beneath the brim of his hat.

"Shut up, Sakazuki."

Sengoku said angrily.

"In any case, he gained nothing from within our Marines; whether he leaves or stays makes no difference to us."

Aokiji spoke up.

"Kuzan is right."

Tsuru spoke up. "When we first agreed to his request, didn't we already consider that he might choose to leave? Since he chose to leave without keeping his Marine trainee identity, then let the matter end here. If he shows any sign of doing evil…"

"It was I who invited him to join the Marines, and it was this old man who proposed the Marine trainee idea. If he goes on to wreak havoc on the seas in the future, this old man… will take responsibility for it."

Garp said in a low voice.

Hearing Garp's words, none of them spoke anymore.

Akainu stood up, adjusted the brim of his hat, and glanced sideways at Garp as he said:

"I hope when the time comes, Vice Admiral Garp, you won't hold back."

67. The Journey Starting from Sabaody Archipelago (4/8, please subscribe!)

A few days later.

A warship arrived at Sabaody Archipelago, and Luo En stepped off it.

Wearing black trousers, a white T-shirt, with a military-green hooded long windbreaker over the top, and an orange-red travel hat on his head, he carried a pack on his back, gripped Lei Qie in his hand, and turned his head to smile and wave his free hand at Tsuru and Tina on the warship.

"This is far enough. Tsuru, Tina, let's meet again on the seas."

"Didn't I tell you to call me Tina-nee? You bastard, Luo En! Tina is very angry!"

Tina shouted at him in annoyance.

Tsuru, meanwhile, waved at him with a face full of gentle smiles.

"Be careful on the way. If you change your mind, come back."

Tina, with a thin cigarette dangling from her lips and sunglasses hanging from her forehead, leaned both hands on the railing and shouted down at Luo En: "In the future, think about the consequences before you do anything. I don't want the next time I see you to be in a prison…"

"Got it. Well then, that's that for now. Bye-bye."

Luo En turned around and waved at the two women with his back to them.

Tina brushed her forehead with her hand, her coldly beautiful face full of helplessness: "That guy is still as always, doesn't like to listen to what others have to say. Tina is very helpless."

"Tina, do you know little Luo En's current strength?"

"Eh?"

Tina was startled by Tsuru's sudden question, then thought for a moment: "I last sparred with him half a year ago. We fought to a draw back then. His strength should have grown a bit by now, but it should still be about the same as mine."

Hearing her words, the smile on Tsuru's exquisitely beautiful face deepened.

"What is it?"

Tina asked in confusion.

"No, it's nothing."
