Chapter 547

"At that time, Konoha's strength had not yet recovered after the Nine-Tails Incident. If they had encountered a rebellion from Konoha's strongest clan, it would very likely have been a catastrophe…"

"So, they let Uchiha Itachi shoulder all of this? And even after his death, they wouldn't let his name be cleared, is that it?"

Hyuga Neji asked, his tone complex!

For a long time, the people of Konoha had deeply hated Uchiha Itachi.

Although perhaps many people were not familiar with the Uchiha clan, since they lived in Konoha, many people had considered them comrades.

And Uchiha Itachi, by wiping out the Uchiha clan, had essentially wiped out their comrades—how could they not hate him?

But now, the situation had such a massive reversal.

For a moment, they found it hard to accept!

"I really can't understand how Uchiha Itachi could accept such a cruel mission."

Rock Lee shook his head, sounding somewhat angry.

"Perhaps it was for Uchiha Sasuke!"

Nara Shikamaru thought for a moment and replied:

"If Konoha had taken action at that time, the Uchiha clan would definitely have been wiped out entirely!

And the reason Uchiha Itachi accepted this inhumane mission, I think, was to protect Uchiha Sasuke!

After the clan was wiped out, he joined the Akatsuki with the goal of stealing intelligence!

Later, when the Third Hokage was killed by Orochimaru, he appeared in Konoha immediately. His goal was also to warn those who wanted to lay a hand on Uchiha Sasuke!"

"Warn?"

"Yes, exactly. To clearly tell those with ulterior motives: 'I, Uchiha Itachi, am not dead yet; none of you can touch my brother!!!'" ===== CHAPTER 549 =====
