Chapter 160: I Can Endure It

~7 min read 1,386 words

It turns out that when someone who doesn't know how to say sweet nothings starts saying them, it is truly unbearable!

Chen Xun held An Yinan's hand with one hand and helped carry a piece of luggage with the other, then walked straight toward the jeep.

Zhang Qian looked at the pair walking over while holding hands, "Hello, Sister-in-law."

An Yinan smiled, "Hello, Comrade Zhang Qian."

Seeing Chen Xun's somewhat darkened face, Zhang Qian hurriedly opened the trunk; his buttocks, which had been kicked two days ago, still ached a little.

A man who is a closet romantic is not to be trifled with!

An Yinan and Chen Xun were in one car, and the remaining three were in another.

After getting into the car, Chen Xun carefully took An Yinan's hand and held it just like that, unwilling to let go even while driving.

"Drive properly." An Yinan found it amusing; was this really a twenty-four-year-old old man?

When did he become so unsteady?

Chen Xun looked at the person beside him, "Don't worry, my driving skills are very good."

An Yinan's heart stirred, and she suddenly blushed, while Comrade Chen Xun at this moment was as steady as Mount Tai.

*Cough cough*, she had been corrupted by modern thoughts...

After arriving at the Camp, Yun Shu and Yun Mo moved directly into the military barracks; back in their familiar environment, they were even more in their element.

As long as An Yinan did not go out, they could train on their own.

But as long as An Yinan stepped out of the gate of the Northeast Camp, they had to protect her by her side.

Back home, looking at the piles of cloth bags, she rubbed her forehead; although these were all just for show, they still needed to be organized.

Chen Xun asked, "Hungry, right? I'll go to the canteen to get food; there is warm water in the pot, you go wash up first."

An Yinan looked up, stunned at first, feeling that Chen Xun's expression seemed overly serious, then seeing his slightly disordered footsteps, she suddenly realized.

He was shy.

"Haha!" A burst of intense laughter rang out, and she pounded her luggage parcel.

Meanwhile, the tips of Chen Xun's ears slowly turned red, and his breathing rhythm became even more chaotic.

An Yinan was no stranger to this Xiao Yuan; after tidying up her things, she noted there were two bedrooms, and she had stayed here last time as well.

However, there were some changes; the beds here had all been converted into heated brick beds, and the stove was kept burning, making the room warm and not cold at all.

Looking at the newly changed curtains and door drapes, as well as the snow swept clean in the courtyard.

She felt a bit more anticipation for life in the Northeast Military Region.

An Yinan tried to use her space as little as possible, first taking a bath in the room, then wringing her hair until it was half-dry; she was really too lazy to wipe it anymore, so she simply let it drip with water beads.

Then she put away the quilts and clothes she used often, and took the opportunity to take things out of the space bit by bit.

It wasn't until she heard the sound of the door opening that she returned to the living room.

Their Xiao Yuan had a good layout, with two bedrooms and a living room; the back kitchen was behind the house and connected to the dining room.

The living room was very empty now, with only a few chairs and a wooden table, which also looked very new and must have been made not long ago.

"Eat first." Chen Xun placed the lunchbox on the table, then walked over, pulled An Yinan to sit down, and took a clean towel from the hanging rack to carefully wipe her hair.

"No need to wipe, it will be dry in a while," An Yinan said nonchalantly.

Chen Xun did not put his hand down, "Eat your meal properly."

"Oh." An Yinan pouted, then began to eat earnestly.

Chen Xun wiped her hair very gently, as if afraid of hurting her, yet he wiped it over and over again without a hint of impatience.

It was not until An Yinan finished her meal that Chen Xun finally put down his hand.

Her hair was almost dry now; her long hair was about to reach her waist, and she usually coiled it up with a handkerchief; only now did she realize it seemed a bit too long.

"My hair is a bit long, I'll go get it cut one of these days," An Yinan said.

Chen Xun picked up the lunchbox An Yinan had just used to wash it in the kitchen; hearing her words, he immediately replied, "No need to cut it, I'll help you wipe it from now on."

An Yinan sat in the chair and raised an eyebrow.

After Chen Xun washed the lunchbox, he dried his hands and walked out of the kitchen, seeing An Yinan still sitting by the table.

He walked up, pulled the young girl up from the chair, and kissed the lips he had been longing for.

Soft, with a hint of fruity fragrance.

Sweet, and deeply captivating.

Chen Xun pecked lightly, then pulled away, looked at the girl's brows and eyes in his arms, and then gave her another light kiss.

"Nan Nan'er." His voice was hoarse, carrying a seductive power in its low tone.

An Yinan's heart skipped a beat; who said straight men don't understand romance?

It's all a lie!!!!

Chen Xun pulled her into his arms, breathing heavily, smelling the fragrance of her hair.

Then he lowered his head for another light kiss.

The kiss was light, like a dragonfly skimming the water, yet it stirred ripples in her heart.

Afterward, he scooped An Yinan up horizontally and walked hurriedly to the bedroom.

Sitting on the warm heated brick bed, he did not put her down, but held her in his arms, letting An Yinan sit on his lap.

His rough yet scorching hands gently rubbed her back, his eyes no longer clear as before, as if hiding an abyss in the dim light.

Her neck, face, and ears had all turned red.

An Yinan looked at him, her eyes focused and dazed.

Chen Xun also looked at her, one hand supporting her waist to keep her from falling, the other reaching forward, his thumb rubbing her lips.

Those pink, tender lips gradually turned red under his rubbing.

Chen Xun finally kissed her.

An Yinan felt a bit parched and lightly licked her lips with the tip of her tongue; this unconscious movement made both of their bodies feel as if they had been electrocuted in an instant.

Their violent heartbeats were indistinguishable from one another.

Not until An Yinan forgot to breathe did Chen Xun pull away from her lips, his husky voice even raspier, "Nan Nan, breathe."

An Yinan was like a puppet, one command, one movement.

Only now did she find the rhythm of her breathing.

Chen Xun let out a muffled laugh, but An Yinan felt even more embarrassed, burying herself entirely in his embrace, hugging his waist, her face pressed against his well-defined chest.

"I can hold back," Chen Xun said, as if speaking to An Yinan, and also as if talking to himself.

An Yinan was stunned when she heard this, not quite understanding what he meant.

She was a modern girl, and they were a married couple who had already received their marriage certificate; hold back? Why?

Chen Xun placed her on the edge of the bed, smoothed out her slightly messy hair, and kissed her brow, "Sleep early today, I'll bring food back from the cafeteria after my morning exercise tomorrow."

Afterwards, he left.

He left.

Gone.

That's right, he just left like that.

An Yinan closed her eyes, and after opening them again, she still saw only herself in the room.

She even wondered to herself, did her Chen Xun have some sort of hidden ailment?

But just a moment ago... it didn't seem like it, did it?

An Yinan calmed the turmoil in her heart, then tucked herself entirely into the quilt.
