Chapter 338: The Shop
"Alright, if we can buy them, buy both." An Yinan made the decision directly.
Setting aside business deployment, just speaking of future Development Economics, buying them is profitable.
"Did you bring enough money?" Kang Jian reminded her.
People here don't value verbal agreements; everyone doesn't have that much of a bond.
It's only cash on the barrelhead.
An Yinan patted her bag!
Her omnipotent schoolbag—at Kang Jian's house, while she was talking to the man about the factory, she had transferred the money into the bag.
It was just for looking at shops, better safe than sorry.
But if anyone wanted to steal it, that wouldn't be possible!
"I'll do the talking, you two don't speak," Kang Jian instructed.
An Yinan and the man nodded, and the three of them walked first to the shop at the end of the street.
"Kang Jian is here? What goods are you picking today?" The one running it was a man who looked very honest; the few customers he originally had had been snatched away by the people in front.
He was quite cheerful, though, and not annoyed at all!
"Uncle, I want to take a look at the shop!" Kang Jian said.
That man was stunned for a moment, "The shop? You know the price."
"It's a bit expensive, Uncle. Make it cheaper; I haven't bought few goods from you." Kang Jian handed the man a cigarette.
The man pointed at him, "In our street, you can't light a fire."
Clothing Street is extremely afraid of open flames; this street has an unwritten rule that no open flames are allowed on the entire street.
"Hey! Uncle, how could I not know?" Kang Jian said, between laughter and tears.
"I was just afraid you'd forgotten."
"Alright, for your sake, four thousand!" The man held up four fingers.
Kang Jian widened his eyes, "Uncle, that's not fair, is it?"
"How could it be higher than the base price?"
The man smiled, "You stinky brat."
"Four thousand, including the courtyard in the back!"
"Could Uncle ever cheat you?"
Kang Jian patted his forehead and accompanied him with a smiling face, "That's impossible. Whoever cheats me, Uncle couldn't cheat me."
He had forgotten that Uncle had a courtyard in the back; it wasn't big, but it could store quite a lot of goods.
"Sister, shall we look at the back courtyard?" Kang Jian asked in a low voice.
An Yinan nodded.
The group went to the back courtyard.
"It's just this big." After the man opened it, he let the few of them see clearly.
"The goods have been cleared out mostly; it's all empty inside now. I'm also preparing to leave, so everything has been cleared."
"I'm not one to cheat people. Four thousand, and we'll go straight to transfer the title."
He wasn't suited for business to begin with; everyone on the street was making money, and only he was left just getting by.
If things went on like this, it would be better to go back to his hometown and do something else.
Kang Jian looked at An Yinan, and An Yinan nodded directly.
"Then let's go transfer the title," Kang Jian said.
It wasn't far from here to the place for transferring titles, just two streets away.
The four of them walked over, and An Yinan first confirmed the property rights.
The process went very quickly; in about twenty minutes, the new documents were processed.
Documents at this time were still handwritten, containing the previous information and architectural diagrams.
The man had a smile on his face; his shop business was bad, and everyone rumored the feng shui was poor. His price had been pressed down again and again, and now it was finally sold.
And An Yinan also smiled; although the expression was very faint, it still made Kang Jian pause.
This was too beautiful; he had never seen such a beautiful person.
"Let's go see the other shop," An Yinan said to Kang Jian.
Kang Jian hurriedly regained his focus, his neck turning a bit red.
An Yinan's attention was all on the shops, and she didn't notice Kang Jian's abnormality.
"Alright, let's go right now." Kang Jian had returned to normal and walked in front.
When the three of them arrived, they could see quite a few people in the shop; it looked like business was good.
"You guys look around, just tell me when you want to take goods," the proprietress said.
She started writing up orders; it was just the husband and wife in the shop, one writing orders and one moving goods, and the two were very busy.
"Sister, I want to ask about the shop," Kang Jian said in a low voice.
The hand writing the order paused, "Little Jian, you know Sister's temper; you can't be teasing Sister!"
Kang Jian said with a cheeky grin, "Sister, look at what you're saying, how would I dare!"
"Are you really going to buy?"
Kang Jian nodded.
"Six thousand, direct transfer!" the woman said.
She was desperate to sell it; her hometown had called several times already.
Her mother-in-law had fallen, there was no one to watch the children, and if they didn't go back, the old and young wouldn't have food to eat; she had even developed blisters in her mouth these past two days.
Now that she had a neighbor help with the cooking and paid them for it, she finally had some free time.
"Sister, we're old acquaintances, aren't you being a bit too formal?" Kang Jian said, trying to butter her up while teasing her.
That person was indeed anxious to sell, as things back home were worrying.
"Kang Jian, I won't lie to you, sister. You know the shop's business, and you're clear on the customer traffic; it's a business that makes a steady profit without any risk."
"Someone has taken a liking to it, but they couldn't scrape the money together for a moment, which is why it's been delayed."
"Sister will give you a final price: 5,800. If you agree, we'll transfer the title right now; if not, there's nothing left to discuss."
If it weren't for the trouble back home, she wouldn't sell this shop that lays golden eggs for anything!
Kang Jian also knew this was the bottom price, and he looked at An Yinan.
An Yinan nodded; in fact, even if it were 6,000, she would still want to take it!
But since it could be 200 less, why not take the deal?
"Deal. Sister, call my brother, and we'll go straight to transfer the title. Since you're straightforward, I'll be straightforward too," Kang Jian said, patting his chest.
An Yinan watched all of Kang Jian's actions; it must be said, he really was a budding talent for business, someone who could go far in the future.
Only those who can set aside their own pride can go far.
If one can't even set aside that bit of pride and holds themselves in too high regard, yet still wants to make money, how could such a good thing exist in this world?
The woman heard this and asked, "Little Jian, are you serious?"
Kang Jian said, "Would I dare to joke about such a big matter?"
The woman looked over the group, then said to the people outside the shop, "Stop taking orders, stop taking orders! I'm not selling the rest!"
"Boss lady, you don't want to make money?" the people behind teased.
The woman was a sharp-tongued person, "What business is it of yours whether I make money or not? If you want goods, hurry up."
Since the shop was sold, she could take these goods back to her hometown, where they would be more suitable to sell than here.
Seeing that the boss lady was serious, everyone sped up their actions.
This woman was the sharpest-tongued person on this street; who would dare provoke her?
The few of them waited on the side for over half an hour!
The woman sent everyone away and took off her apron.
"I'm going to call my husband, you all wait a moment!" The woman hurried toward the back.
In a short while, a man and a woman came out, holding documents in their hands.
"I've brought everything, you better make sure you've brought enough money!" the woman reminded them.
"Sister, are you still worried about how I handle things?" Kang Jian said.
"Alright then, I'm taking the things in the shop with me!"
"The warehouse is rented by me."
"There is only this one shop!"
Although the woman was sharp-tongued, she was also reasonable, otherwise the business in the shop wouldn't be so good.
