Chapter 89: Reaching an Agreement
Because of her connection with Sister Mei, and because Mother Wang also treated people with kindness, she liked her way of conducting herself and was very willing to get close to her.
As for whether she would have dealings with Factory Director He and Deputy Factory Director Feng in the future, she was happy to be on good terms, but she did not want to be too close; if she were too close, she wouldn't be able to do business.
"Look at this girl, she really is as sharp as a tack." Mother Wang laughed heartily, pulling An Yinan's hand. "Let's go, let's go to the office first. It's too cold outside, it's no place to talk. A delicate little girl like this mustn't be allowed to catch a chill."
The group went straight to the director's office.
"Comrade An, have you brought that weaving method?" Deputy Factory Director Feng was in charge of production, so he placed more importance on this cooperation. After reading the first half, he immediately held a meeting to discuss it and felt that this method was absolutely feasible.
For the subsequent exchange of cooperation, Deputy Factory Director Feng put in a great deal of effort, even more than Mother-in-law Liu Mei.
After all, production fell under his purview; only if they had new products and their factory operated well could the workers avoid being laid off.
"Naturally, but it still depends on the sincerity of both our sides." An Yinan smiled and nodded.
Don't let her constant smiling appearance fool you; in Factory Director He's eyes, he knew this little girl was not easy to deal with.
Although she looked like a girl in her teens, she gave him the feeling of a mature adult.
That youthful appearance was not her flaw; on the contrary, it was the most advantageous weapon she used for negotiations, and it was highly deceptive.
"Let me speak." Factory Director He pressed his hand down, and everyone quieted down.
"Regarding your request for two positions, I applied to the higher-ups, and they approved it. However, you need to enter the workshop and ensure the cloth is successful before the job placement can be finalized." Factory Director He stopped beating around the bush. Originally, the higher-ups had told him to negotiate and try to give one less position; after all, giving one position added a burden, and with the factory's efficiency being poor, the more people there were, the more anxious everyone felt.
After hearing this, An Yinan said, "That's fine, but I need to sign a contract. Otherwise, I'm not sure if the positions will be fulfilled after I hand over my technical data."
Mother Wang found it amusing to watch Old He get thwarted; after all, that old fox Old He had been calculating his whole life, and it could be said that Old He deserved much of the credit for the Textile Factory being able to operate until now.
The three of them were jokingly called the Tiejiaosanjiao of the Textile Factory. The old fox, Factory Director He, acted as the leader; all calculations were directed outward, and he was responsible for securing advanced technology and negotiating sales.
And the little donkey, Old Feng, belonged to the type who pulled the millstone; he was steady and willing to work, sought truth from facts, and had his own principles in doing things, and the workers all trusted him deeply.
And she was the rabbit, Old Wang; she was responsible for the adjustment and management of internal personnel and the operational status of the factory.
The three of them had moved forward and retreated together from their youth to their old age; if they didn't trust each other, how could they have made it to today?
"Fine, let's sign a contract." Old He slapped the table, and it was settled.
An Yinan read the contract from beginning to end, taking a full ten minutes, and under the impatient gaze of the two, she finally signed her name.
"This is the second half of the weaving method." An Yinan handed the prepared materials to Factory Director He.
Factory Director He didn't even look at them and handed them directly to Deputy Factory Director Feng.
Deputy Factory Director Feng immediately started reading from the beginning. It wasn't until he finished reading the materials that he widened his eyes in surprise. "So that's how it is, how brilliant."
"You all chat, I'm going to the workshop first. Comrade Xiao An, you're a good comrade."
After saying this, he ran out excitedly, completely forgetting that he was already over fifty years old; his legs were moving quite fast.
"This!" Old He pointed his finger at the door and looked at Mother Wang; the two looked at each other and smiled.
It was still that Old Feng; once he saw good technology, he could forget to eat and sleep!
"Let's go, let's go to the workshop and take a look too." Mother Wang chuckled, took Liu Mei by one hand and An Yinan by the other, and went to the workshop with Factory Director He.
One machine had already been stopped. Deputy Factory Director Feng was tinkering with it on the side, doing one step, looking at An Yinan's operation plan, then converting it to the current machine's method, and then adjusting it.
After a full three hours, "Move aside, I'm going to start the machine." Deputy Factory Director Feng waved his hand. Several people moved a bit further away, and only then did he turn on the machine and begin according to the steps.
Watching the cloth slowly emerging from the machine, Factory Director Feng smiled like a child.
"It's done, it's done."
Everyone looked at the brand-new cloth; the pattern on it had a beauty never seen before, and it even looked as if the flowers were truly there. What was that feeling?
If someone asked, An Yinan would tell everyone that it was a three-dimensional effect!
That's right, what An Yinan was teaching them to weave this time was 3D-feeling three-dimensional fabric.
Through the color difference, it presented a flat three-dimensional effect, existing as if it were a real object.
"This is too magical." Factory Director He couldn't help but reach out his hand at this moment, but just as he was about to touch the fabric, Deputy Factory Director Feng took the fabric away, looking at Factory Director He with suspicion, as if he had done something heinous.
An Yinan hid in the back, covering her mouth, watching the bewildered and helpless Factory Director He, and laughed secretly.
Mother Wang, however, reached out and touched the three-dimensional flowers, "It's actually real. If I hadn't felt the texture of the fabric, I would have thought the real flowers were right before my eyes."
"Nan Nan, you are too amazing. How did you think of such a method?" Mother Wang looked at An Yinan now, her eyes shining; this wasn't the light in a lover's eyes, but a light of discovering a rare treasure.
An Yinan hurriedly hid behind Liu Mei. The stunned Liu Mei immediately reacted and looked at everyone.
"When will you report for the two positions arranged for you?" Factory Director He had already recovered his mood and was now holding the posture of a serious factory director. If it weren't for him being shunned by Deputy Factory Director Feng just now, she wouldn't have known Factory Director He's status.
"Hmm, the position in the production workshop will probably report next week? I'll think about the office clerk one." An Yinan actually felt at the time that one position was too cheap for the Textile Factory, so she asked for two, but as for letting her place someone, she really didn't know how to place someone in an office clerk position.
"You have the positions, but no one to fill them?" Factory Director He widened his eyes, and even Mother Wang was a bit incredulous at this moment. She thought someone was already in need of work, which was why she asked for a permanent job; she never imagined it wasn't like that at all.
"Ahem, I'll look into it, I'll look into it."
"Then report for the production workshop position as soon as possible. If no one comes to report for the office clerk position in a month, you, little girl, come and report yourself!" Factory Director He made the final decision.
An Yinan was a bit helpless, "I suspect you want to detain technical talent."
An Yinan said softly, and with that helpless look on her face, it made the few people in the room burst into laughter.
The three of them had weathered storms, experienced low points, and made it to today; very few people could make them laugh so heartily.
It was evident that this little girl before them had real ability.
