Chapter 531: Stargazing 2.0

"Indeed a bit surprised, I didn't expect the richest man to come in person!"

Li Dongling recovered his expression and responded with a smile. It seems that it is worthy of being a small goal project that made Microsoft lose more than 10 billion USD. Bill Gates is really persistent about game consoles!

Bill Gates' trip this time can be considered light and simple, only bringing Ed Fries, and several assistants and bodyguards, obviously the itinerary was very hurried.

Welcoming him into the villa, Li Dongling and Bill Gates looked at each other. Yao Luoying, Zhou Hualiang, Larsen, and others were also looking at Bill Gates.

"Li, you are a genius. I didn't expect that we would meet in this way, in this place!"

As soon as Bill Gates sat down, he had a posture of being the guest who took over the host's role. Of course, this is also related to Microsoft's current strength and the fact that this is America. As long as it is in America, it is Microsoft's territory!

Before coming here, Bill Gates had long ago obtained the information about Li Dongling and Dongling Gao Ke over the years. Honestly, after reading it, he couldn't help but be a bit surprised.

The "small" company that fought a lawsuit with Microsoft back then, the reason Microsoft reconciled, was not because it feared Dongling Gao Ke, but because it didn't want to arouse the public anger of the computer hardware industry, be besieged, and trigger the Federal Department of Justice to go into the water. Otherwise, for Microsoft back then, Dongling Gao Ke was like an ant, so why would it fear anything!

There are many geniuses in America, and Bill Gates has seen many proud sons of heaven, but those geniuses all call Bill Gates a genius!

But after reading Dongling Gao Ke's experience over the years, Bill Gates had to admit that the person manipulating Dongling Gao Ke is definitely a genius. Dongling Gao Ke has not taken a wrong step, has not walked wrong, this kind of manipulation ability and sense of smell made Bill Gates feel a bit frightened.

Bill Gates feels that even if Li Dongling is placed among the founders of a group of tech companies in America, whether it is the younger generation or the older generation, he is definitely worthy of the word genius!

Li Dongling looked at Bill Gates. Dongling Gao Ke and Microsoft can also be considered a grudge game, but this is also the first time he and Bill Gates have met.

"It seems, Manager Ed, that you have relayed Dongling High-Tech's proposal to Mr. Gates?"

Li Dongling did not narrate the past, mentioning the old accounts of the past. That lawsuit back then made Microsoft lose face in the end. Is it possible to help Bill Gates recall it again?

Don't look at the mainland media, when reporting on Bill Gates, it always appears with photos of him smiling and kind, but those who have really dealt with him know what Bill Gates' personality is like.

Even Jobs, who is recognized as having a bad personality and is not easy to get along with, suffered a loss when he met Bill Gates and was angered to explode coarse language. Do you really expect this to be a good person? A good person can be the world's richest man for more than ten years and become the largest landlord in America?

And Bill Gates' itinerary this time is low-key and hurried, obviously wanting to make a quick decision, not wanting to pull any memoirs with Li Dongling.

"I came here, which has already proven everything. Microsoft is indeed interested in Dongling Gao Ke's proposal!"

Bill Gates said with a smile, then converged his smile, his eyes looking straight at Li Dongling. Facing Bill Gates, the pressure is completely different from facing Ed Fries.

"I want to know, Li, how much of the promise can you and Dongling Gao Ke achieve?"

"You know, for the cooperation you proposed, the price and risk Microsoft paid are much greater than imagined, and may even affect the existence of the Microsoft-Intel alliance. If the computer project and console project fail, do you know how serious the consequences are?"

When Bill Gates said the last part, his momentum had been completely raised. Ed Fries, Yao Luoying, Zhou Hualiang, Larsen, and others sitting on the side all felt bursts of pressure.

Li Dongling faced Bill Gates' pressure directly and knew that this was Bill Gates' test, but his face remained calm. All pressure is inner drama added by oneself. When the filter for someone is removed, and there is no request for him, what you see is just an ordinary person.

Not to mention, the richest man in front of him in his past life, various collapses, the filter has long since ceased to exist. Li Dongling naturally has no pressure, and even wants to remind him to bring more bodyguards when going out, don't probe the grass with his face, be smashed with a cake, this is a moderate faction. If you encounter someone who doesn't talk about martial arts, what is thrown out is not a cake...

"I have told Manager Ed that as long as Dongling High-Tech promises something to an ally, it will definitely be done. Of course, the allies who promise Dongling High-Tech must also deliver!"

Li Dongling and Bill Gates looked at each other, and then both smiled at each other.

"Microsoft developing an operating system for Dongxin Semiconductor's MIPS architecture chips will take a great risk. Once Intel knows, it will definitely have great dissatisfaction!"

Bill Gates first stated Microsoft's difficulties, and then turned the topic, "But Microsoft is willing to support Dongxin Semiconductor. However, the future chip industry of Dongxin Semiconductor, whether good or bad, has nothing to do with Microsoft!"

Bill Gates is making a disclaimer in advance. Microsoft can develop a system for Dongxin Semiconductor, but if Intel finds out, it will definitely retaliate against Dongxin Semiconductor crazily. If Dongxin is finished, it is its own incompetence, and it cannot blame Microsoft.

"This is natural. However, I also believe that other architectures of chips will definitely rise in the future. No matter how overbearing Intel is, it cannot stop the development of the entire chip industry!" Li Dongling said.

Bill Gates looked at Li Dongling and smiled without saying a word. He just reminded Li Dongling. As for who wins and who loses between Dongxin and Intel, he is too lazy to care. Anyway, no matter who breaks their head, they have to use Microsoft's system!

"For the computer project and game console project, Li, how much certainty do you have?" Bill Gates asked the question he cared about most.

Li Dongling picked up his water cup and took a sip, and said to Bill Gates, "There is an old saying in the mainland, called those who help themselves will be helped by heaven!"

"Dongling Gao Ke is willing to cooperate with Microsoft and support Microsoft on computer and game console projects, but what step Microsoft can achieve is not something Dongling Gao Ke can predict."

Hearing this, Bill Gates lowered his head slightly, his brows furrowed, but then he heard Li Dongling continue.

"Computer project, the cooperation between the two sides is limited to the desktop computer project. If Microsoft agrees to cooperate, Dongling Gao Ke will launch its own self-developed and self-produced computers, and key components such as chips and computer screens will be self-produced."

"In the future, Dongling Gao Ke can guarantee that within three years, the annual shipment of desktop computers under Dongling Gao Ke will exceed 10 million units!"

Li Dongling didn't blush and didn't jump, and calmly shouted the earth-shattering words, making Bill Gates, Ed Fries, Larsen, Zhou Hualiang, and others stunned, and even Yao Luoying, who didn't know the inside story, was a bit hesitant to speak for a while.

"Li, do you dare to guarantee?" Bill Gates asked impatiently.

Li Dongling nodded and said, "This point can be written into the contract of the cooperation agreement between the two sides."

"However, as I just said, Dongling Gao Ke can guarantee to do it, and is willing to provide key components and OEM for Microsoft brand computers, but if Microsoft launches a computer brand, how much it sells has nothing to do with Dongling Gao Ke!"

Hearing this, Bill Gates was unhappy, and there was a bit of displeasure on his face. Why? The same components, the same assembly line, Li Dongling dared to pat his chest and say that within three years, the annual shipment could reach 10 million units, but when it changed to Microsoft, he didn't agree. Could it be that Microsoft is not as good as Dongling Gao Ke?

"This point, you don't need to worry, Li. Whether Microsoft launches its own brand of computers is decided by the Microsoft board of directors, but if you do it, I hope you can abide by the agreement!"

Bill Gates gave a muffled grunt and said, with a bit of pride in his expression, obviously very confident in Microsoft's brand.

Li Dongling nodded with a smile, signaling Zhou Hualiang to record all these, and they would be written into the contract later.

Why does Li Dongling dare to boast that within three years, the annual shipment of desktop computers launched by Dongling Gao Ke can break through 10 million units? It is because of the chain internet cafe plan!

Within three years, the number of internet users in the country and overseas will increase by dozens of times, which is not a problem. By then, computers under Dongling Gao Ke can be sold to their own chain internet cafe company. No matter how much volume, they can eat it all. There is no need to worry about not being able to sell it!

As for Microsoft, the machines produced according to the configuration Dongling Gao Ke provides to internet cafe computers, how many units can be sold, only ghosts know. Anyway, it doesn't concern Dongling Gao Ke. Did Dongling Gao Ke cheat it? Did it force it to produce computers? It is a matter of mutual consent. Can that be called cheating?

"As for the game console project, Dongling Gao Ke will do its best to help Microsoft. I can guarantee that the console business under Japan's Wan Dai will be sold to Microsoft, and the Wan Dai game division will develop games for Microsoft game consoles."

"Dongling Gao Ke's division will provide key components for Microsoft game consoles for Microsoft's game division. In addition, Dongling Gao Ke, for Microsoft's game console business, will also invest in some graphics card and other component companies!"

Li Dongling expressed enough sincerity to Bill Gates, "But the game console project is not Dongling Gao Ke's strength. Expenses, design, promotion, game content, etc., still need to be done by Microsoft itself. Dongling Gao Ke can only guarantee to support it!"

Listening to these "sincere" words, Bill Gates felt that with an ally like Dongling Gao Ke, what more could he ask for.

"As long as Dongling Gao Ke can do what you promised, Li, in the future, Dongling Gao Ke will be Microsoft's best ally!"

Bill Gates also "revealed his true feelings" and said, but how he and Li Dongling planned in their hearts, only ghosts know. Over the years, those who have been Microsoft's allies, how many have had a good end? However, Dongling Gao Ke doesn't seem to intend to be Microsoft's iron-clad ally.

"Mr. Gates, in fact, besides the computer and game console projects, in the living room strategy, Dongling Gao Ke has another project that wants to cooperate with Microsoft!"
