Chapter 226: Offering Help

Full-Time Hunter Record Volume 1, Chapter 228: Offering Help. The Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast was extremely angry. To have its companion killed right under its nose and the corpse taken away—this made the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast, which had looked down on these six men and six women, both angry and annoyed. At the time, the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast had already discovered the existence of Piste's group of twelve, but their ranks were all Rank 7, and its own herd had forty or fifty members above Rank 7, each possessing extremely strong defensive power, so the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast had never imagined that under such circumstances, its companion would actually be killed by these twelve humans.

Moo—! The hard stone armor on its body emitted strong earth-type magic fluctuations. The surrounding earth-type magic elements seemed to be drawn by the earth-type magic fluctuations on the stone armor, also beginning to appear with earth-type magic fluctuations, and then quickly condensed into stone balls with a diameter of about half a meter, causing pits over a meter wide to appear wherever the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast passed.

Boom boom boom Moo—! Once the giant stones were condensed, they were immediately smashed toward Piste and the others by an invisible force, emitting a loud, rumbling sound.

"It seems the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast is indeed very smart, knowing that it is at a disadvantage in speed, so it constantly uses earth-type magic to create giant stones to attack Piste and the others, limiting their speed so that it won't lose track of them," Zhuge Tianxin said with admiration as he watched the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast constantly create stone balls to attack Piste and the others.

"Damn it, I didn't expect this beast to be so smart. We still haven't shaken it off," Piste cursed while dodging the stone ball attacks. He hadn't expected the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast to be so smart, actually using stone ball attacks to limit their speed. Plus, the flight of the mechanical armaments wasn't true flight, but rather similar to jet propulsion, so the speed wasn't fast. Moreover, mechanical armaments were also graded, and Piste and the others' mechanical armaments were clearly relatively low-grade, so the speed was even slower. Now, with the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast constantly interfering, the speed had slowed to the extreme, to the point where even the Earth-Walking Beasts could catch up.

Moo—! The Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast roared again, and with a boom, a giant stone wall suddenly appeared in front of Piste and the others, blocking their path. With this obstruction, the other Earth-Walking Beasts running slower behind also began to catch up. Subsequently, without the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast's command, strong earth-type magic fluctuations appeared on the sharp horns atop all the Earth-Walking Beasts' heads, and for a time, the surrounding earth elements fluctuated violently.

Moo—! Moo—! Moo—! Boom—! Boom—! Boom—!

All the Earth-Walking Beasts roared, erupting with earth-shaking sounds. Following the roars of these Earth-Walking Beasts, earth-shaking rumbling sounds erupted, and suddenly, countless hard stone spikes rapidly protruded from the ground, and some were even sprayed out directly like arrows, all shooting toward Piste and the others.

Boom—! Clang clang clang—! Pfft pfft pfft—! "Ah—!"

For a time, these stone spikes and earth-type arrows all hit Piste and the others. Some who had poor defensive capabilities or hadn't had time to defend were directly hit by the stone spikes and arrows, or directly pierced through the body, emitting painful screams.

"Piste, save me! Ah—!" A young man whose abdomen was pierced by a stone spike and whose right leg was pierced by a stone arrow cried out to Piste for help in pain.

"Jilina, quick, quick, quick, save me! Ah—!" A girl who was hit in the chest by a stone spike, pinning her to another stone spike, cried out to Jilina for help in pain.

"Save me, quickly save me!" "Quickly save me, it hurts so much!" "Piste, Jilina, quickly save me!" Painful screams and cries for help came continuously. That attack just now directly caused three men and two women among Piste's group of twelve to be heavily injured, with one man and one woman pinned on stone spikes. The remaining people only managed to dodge these attacks by activating their defenses in time. It could be said that this attack by the Earth-Walking Beast herd directly caused Piste and the others to lose half their combat power.

"Piste, what do we do now? I told you not to provoke the Earth-Walking Beasts before, but you wouldn't listen. Now that we're in this situation, what do you say we should do?" Jilina was already so frightened by the Earth-Walking Beast herd's attack that she was at a loss, and could only ask Piste what to do, but clearly, she was somewhat blaming Piste for not listening to her advice at the time and insisting on attacking the Earth-Walking Beast herd.

Piste showed no reaction to Jilina's blame, but instead controlled the mechanical armament on his body to form a hand cannon with a muzzle as thick as a bowl, then aimed it at the stone wall created by the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast earlier.

"Dragon Flame Ray!" Piste shouted, his mind power stimulated, and the hand cannon in his hand sprayed a flame ray as thick as a bowl, rapidly shooting toward the stone wall created by the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast earlier.

Boom—! With a loud noise, the flame ray hit the stone wall, directly piercing through it and creating a two-meter-wide hole.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh—! Once the hole was formed, Piste didn't hesitate at all, directly activating his mechanical armament, rapidly flying toward the hole in the stone wall, and directly passed through the hole to escape.

Moo—! The Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast roared. Piste's escape was done in one go, so fast that even the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast hadn't reacted before Piste had already escaped very far. It wanted to chase, but the stone wall it had created earlier became an obstruction, and if it weren't for the stone wall's obstruction, the remaining people would also have escaped.

Moo—! Moo—! Moo—! Moo—! After the Rank 8 Earth-Walking Beast roared, all the Earth-Walking Beasts behind it roared as well. Clearly, they were also very angry at Piste's escape. Following their roars, earth-type magic fluctuations appeared on the sharp horns atop their heads again, the surrounding earth elements rolled violently, and the stones and mud on the ground also began to roll violently.

"Brother Tianxin, should we step in and help them?" Gu Qian asked Zhuge Tianxin, feeling somewhat unbearable after seeing Piste abandon his injured companions and flee.

"Forget it, it can be considered building a good relationship. You all stay here, I'll go save them and, by the way, lead the Earth-Walking Beasts toward Jakes and the others," Zhuge Tianxin said. After speaking, with a teleport, he arrived directly near Jilina and the others and the Earth-Walking Beast herd.

Moo~~~~, Moo~~~~, Moo~~~~, Moo~~~~, the herd of Earth-Walking Beasts roared, and countless hard stone spikes shot out from the ground, blasting toward Xia Lina and the others.

With a flash of white light, the Yin-Suppressing Blade appeared in his hand, mind power guided, and the extreme yin power within the Yin-Suppressing Blade surged out, forming a huge black blade.

"Flow-Breaking Slash." Zhuge Tianxin roared, swinging his large black blade to strike at the stone spikes blasting toward Xia Lina and the others.

Rumble, the Flow-Breaking Slash slammed down, directly severing all the stone spikes blasting toward Xia Lina and the others, while also blocking the spikes behind them, saving the lives of Xia Lina and the others.
