Chapter 288: Blood

Moo, moo, moo—! Continuous roars, sounding like a cow's bellow, came from underground. Clearly, the guardian beast was furious at having its tentacle grabbed. With each roar, the tentacle exerted immense force, trying to retract into the ground. The immense force shattered Qingfeng's stone hand and blasted the tentacle backward, snapping Nangong Miss Mengli's Wind Control Art and sending the tentacle crashing heavily to the ground.

"Keep going, don't stop! We must keep it on the surface!" Zhuge Tianxin shouted again after the tentacle was blasted to the ground.

"Let me handle this!" After Weiside Kai and Xia Lina blasted the tentacle down, Zhuge Xun was ready. He raised his Knight Shi Jian above his head, and behind him, a giant formed of intent energy did the same with a massive greatsword.

"Knight's Ultimate Slash!" Zhuge Xun roared, swinging his sword down heavily toward the tentacle, while the giant behind him did the same.

Boom! The greatsword descended, slamming heavily into the tentacle that was trying to retreat underground. The black greatsword was massive, and while the tentacle was thick as an elephant's leg and over ten meters long, it was still small compared to the greatsword. Thus, when the sword struck, the wind blades acted like a giant hammer, smashing into the tentacle rather than slicing it.

"I've hardened the ground around the tentacle; it can't retreat underground. Keep attacking!" Zhuge Tianxin shouted again.

"Thunder-Fire Annihilation!" As soon as Zhuge Tianxin finished speaking, Nangong Miss Mengli shouted. Her fair hands surged with thunder and fire magic. Above her head, a magic circle, half-purple and half-red, spun rapidly. With a wave of her hands, the circle rotated, and a bolt of lightning and a stream of fire erupted, intertwining as they shot toward the tentacle on the ground.

Boom! The intertwined thunder and fire magic slammed into the tentacle, erupting in a massive explosion. Lightning and flames sprayed outward, scorching the surrounding ground black.

The series of attacks left the tentacle severely wounded. Multiple parts were split open, and some areas were charred and bloodied—clearly the result of Nangong Miss Mengli's Thunder-Fire Annihilation.

Moo, moo, moo—! Having suffered continuous attacks, with one tentacle now charred and bleeding, the guardian beast was thoroughly enraged. It roared continuously, and the tentacle on the ground pulled with even greater force, trying to retreat. Moo, moo, moo—! A long roar came from underground. It was undoubtedly the guardian beast, but the emotion within the sound was impossible to tell—was it excitement or pain?
