Chapter 2: Azure Cloud Sect Recruitment Assembly

Three seconds later!

……

Azure Cloud Sect Square, a grand recruitment ceremony was in full swing.

As one of the three great Dao lineages of Azure Prefecture in the Mysterious Yellow Continent, Azure Cloud Sect had over ten thousand disciples come to apply.

And the requirements to join Azure Cloud Sect are also very simple.

That is the Spirit Test.

One only needs to pour their spiritual power into the Spirit Testing Stone, and there will be a talent response of one of the five levels: Sun, Moon, Star, Earth, Mortal.

Sun-level is the best, Mortal-level the worst.

To join Azure Cloud Sect, one only needs to reach Earth-level talent.

On the chairman's high platform.

Seated in order were five elders who exuded authority without anger.

They were respectively:

Sword Peak Peak Master: Li Mu (male).

Formation Peak Peak Master: Yang Xuan (male).

Shadow Peak Peak Master: Su Wuniang.

Alchemy Peak Peak Master: Zhou Yuan (male).

Talisman Peak Peak Master: Xu Daoling.

Three hours later, a burly figure descended before the five.

The person was none other than Han Ya, the Body Tempering Peak Peak Master who had organized the Spirit Testing Ceremony.

He laughed heartily and said: "The five peak masters have waited long enough; this Spirit Testing Ceremony has completely ended. There is one Sun-level talent disciple, six Moon-level talent disciples, and the rest are Star-level and Earth-level."

After hearing Han Ya's report from the Body Tempering Peak Master, the other five peak masters all showed smiles.

"Great! This recruitment ceremony produced a Sun-level talent disciple and six Moon-level talent disciples—truly a fortune for Azure Cloud Sect."

"Indeed, we six peak masters all started cultivating from Moon-level talent, and we have achieved this much; that Sun-level talent disciple will surely become the hope of our Azure Cloud Sect."

They spoke one after another, never straying from discussion of that Sun-level talent disciple.

They were all thinking about how to bring that Sun-level talent disciple under their own banners.

At this moment, Han Ya laughed and said: "In my opinion, Sword Peak is the strongest of our six peaks; let that Sun-level talent disciple belong to the Sword Peak Master, and the remaining six Moon-level talent disciples can be chosen one each by the six peaks."

Hearing this, although they were unwilling, they said nothing more, for Sword Peak is indeed the strongest peak of Azure Cloud Sect.

Moreover, the Sword Peak Master has been plotting a great matter these years; if he truly succeeds, they would have no choice but to submit to him, so naturally they would not offend him here.

Seeing no opposition, Han Ya smiled at Sword Peak Master Li Mu and said: "Then, please trouble the Sword Peak Master to spend some time personally cultivating two heavenly prodigies."

Li Mu nodded slightly: "Then I shall obey rather than merely show respect; I will take only those two disciples, and the remaining disciples shall be selected by the five peak masters as they see fit."

Li Mu raised his head, his deep gaze toward the Sect Master's Hall; with the addition of one Sun-level talent disciple and one Moon-level talent disciple, how could a great undertaking fail?

Han Ya smiled appeasingly: "Since everyone has no objections, then let it be settled as such."

However, just at that moment—

"Wait……"

"I have an opinion!"

Then they saw Lin Yang and Luo Wuqing's two figures descending here.

Lin Yang clasped his hands and said: "Greetings, six peak masters."

The six exchanged glances and all chose to ignore Lin Yang.

After all, they despised from the bottom of their hearts those who relied on looks to hang around Luo Wuqing as pretty boys.

"Welcome the Sect Master's personal arrival."

Next, the six turned to salute and greet Luo Wuqing.

"No need."

Luo Wuqing gave a slight nod.

Only then did the six raise their heads, looking at Luo Wuqing in puzzlement.

In previous recruitment ceremonies, she never participated; why has she suddenly come today?

Luo Wuqing said: "Everyone, I have come this time to inform you that I have decided to establish the Seventh Peak of Azure Cloud Sect, with Lin Yang as its Peak Master; after I finish speaking, do you understand?"

Hearing this, the six peak masters were all stunned.

Especially Li Mu, who unconsciously stared at Luo Wuqing and Lin Yang.

Could it be that Luo Wuqing has discovered something?

Or perhaps she has already begun targeting me?

Li Mu spoke: "Sect Master, why have we never heard of such a major matter?"

"Yes, Sect Master. This is indeed too sudden; you should have discussed it with us beforehand," Han Ya also echoed.

The other peak masters also nodded in response.

Luo Wuqing glanced at everyone: "You need not hear about this; I will later explain it personally to the Council of Elders."

Seeing this, Li Mu and the others also saw no point in saying more, for they were merely executive organs, not decision-making bodies.

But Han Ya wore a look of displeasure: "Even so, Azure Cloud Sect is full of talent; why let a little waste… let Lin Yang become the Seventh Peak Master?"

"You, a waste, can be the Body Tempering Peak Peak Master, so why can't I?" Lin Yang retorted directly.

"You scoundrel, out of respect for the Sect Master's face I didn't directly call you a little waste, yet you call me a waste—have you grown tired of living?" Han Ya said angrily.

Lin Yang smiled: "Back then, when you, Han Ya, made a mistake and knelt before the Sect Master begging for mercy, it was I who pleaded for you; only a few years have passed, has Han Peak Master's heart been eaten by a dog? You pick a fight with me the moment you speak—who is really tired of living?"

"You! Little waste, go die!"

Han Ya seemed to have been poked at a sore point, instantly showing anger: "This matter, one horse returns to one horse; we six peak masters, even the lowest among us are at the Lesser Saint Realm, while you, a Nascent Soul Realm waste, how are you qualified to be a peak master?"

Alright, the position of Peak Master Lin Yang was assigned by me personally; if you have any opinions, tell me.

Luo Wuqing shouted angrily, a fierce light sweeping over the six peak masters.

Her actions this time were to back up Lin Yang and to give a warning to those with ulterior motives—Lin Yang has her behind him.

Seeing no one refute further.

Luo Wuqing looked at Lin Yang and said, "Start accepting disciples."

Yes!

Lin Yang smiled faintly, walked to the chairman's platform, looked at all the disciples below, and secretly wondered which disciples met the talent criteria the system mentioned.

Meanwhile, the disciples below naturally also heard clearly the conversation between the sect master and the six peak masters.

The Lin Yang Peak Master before them.

He is a new peak master.

Moreover, his strength is only at the Nascent Soul Realm.

That would surely ruin them.

Under these circumstances, facing Lin Yang's gaze, some disciples with decent talent chose to avoid him.

No one wanted to join Lin Yang's peak.

Under Lin Yang's sweep of gaze.

Wow!

Finally, heaven did not disappoint, letting him see a disciple with exceptionally good talent traits.

Shi Hao

Cultivation: Qi Refining Ninth Layer

Talent: Day-level Talent

Purple Trait: Dragon Rhinoceros Bloodline

Blue Trait: Peerless Physique

White Trait: Outstanding Aptitude

Black Trait: One Thought Becomes Demon, One Thought Becomes Buddha

As Lin Yang was surprised by Shi Hao's talent traits, Luo Wuqing's voice sounded again.

Given that the Seventh Peak has just been established and there are no other disciples under it, this first disciple slot will let Lin Yang choose first; after I finish speaking, does anyone have any objections?

Luo Wuqing's words having just fallen, they immediately caused an uproar.

Everyone exclaimed in disbelief.

Among the six peak masters, eyes widened even more, especially Li Mu and Han Ya, whose faces looked worse than having eaten feces.

This first disciple slot was given to Lin Yang.

That day-level talent disciple Shi Hao would surely be taken by Lin Yang as his disciple.

Sect Master, this cannot be.

Lin Yang is only at the Nascent Soul Realm; letting him choose disciples first, if he picks an outstanding aptitude disciple, that would be misleading the youth, and spreading it would make us a laughingstock.

In my opinion, since the Seventh Peak has just started, we should first select some star-level talent disciples to practice with.

Several people argued back and forth, especially Li Mu and Han Ya, whose eyes turned red.

Shut up!

Luo Wuqing loudly said, "The sect master's order is the order."

Just do as I say.

Luo Wuqing's angry shout instantly dispelled all doubts; she looked at Lin Yang and spoke gently:

Lin Yang, go choose…
