Chapter 25: New, New Disciple

Is that demon woman, or someone from the Great Dao Sect?

He couldn't help but fall into thought.

Speaking of it, it's quite miserable.

In this world, the only one who cares about him is not his relatives and friends, but his two families' enemies.

They miss him every day.

They are thinking about how to kill him.

Hmph!

Thinking of this, Zhou Tianming unconsciously clenched his fists and secretly swore: 'Scum, and you people of the Great Dao Sect, don't rush; once I obtain the Chaos Heaven Pearl, I'll go slaughter you.'

Immediately, he looked toward Heaven Dao Peak with a determined gaze.

Last time.

Before he even reached Heaven Dao Peak, he was frightened away by an unknown terrifying force.

This time, he gnawed bark and ate grass roots for seven days, and finally managed to reach this place again.

This time.

He swore that no matter what, he must obtain the Chaos Heaven Pearl.

If he fails, he will become benevolent.

——————

On the other side.

Lin Yang, who was thinking of his wife, suddenly heard a sound.

【Ding, detected that a disciple with a suitable trait has appeared ten li outside Heaven Dao Peak; please, host, quickly find and take him as a disciple. Upon successful recruitment, the system rewards the Nine Dragon Profound Heaven Flag!】

"Eh?"

Hearing the system's prompt, Lin Yang couldn't help but be startled.

He asked aloud: 'Is it that disciple who fled earlier?'

【Yes】

Upon hearing that,

Lin Yang's gaze turned stern; this time he wouldn't let him escape.

Immediately, he turned into a stream of light and rushed out.

————————

At this moment.

After Zhou Tianming finished speaking his harsh words, he felt thirsty; he lay down and drank two sips of mountain spring water, then prepared to rush to Heaven Dao Peak.

But just as he rose.

A familiar aura then pressed down on him.

In his previous life, he was a Great Emperor, and his perception was unusually keen.

He soon identified it.

That aura was the same cluster of aura that had chased him seven days ago.

"Good heavens, how did that guy find me again? I've been so careful; who exactly is he? Is he from the Great Dao Sect or the Azure Cloud Sect?"

There was no time to think about all that.

He immediately tore open a teleportation talisman and fled.

No matter who the opponent is, if he gets caught, he's doomed.

"Quickly flee……"

When Lin Yang landed, eager to take on a disciple.

Zhou Tianming had already fled.

"Where is the person?" Lin Yang asked, glancing around.

【Ding, detected that the disciple with the suitable trait used a teleportation talisman and has already been transmitted away in advance.】

He escaped again?

Lin Yang furrowed his brows; that disciple must be sick, right?

Every time he sneaks over here.

But whenever he comes for the appointment.

That guy fled like a mouse again.

What is this all about?

Is it a game of hide-and-seek?

However.

This time, he came with emotions, so no matter what, he must capture that person.

"System, track."

【Possible.】

Immediately, Lin Yang again turned into a stream of light and gave chase.

——————

Ten li outside, Zhou Tianming leaned against a tree, breathing heavily.

"Damn it, who exactly is that person?"

"Every time I get close to that place, that guy comes after me, and even though I'm already well concealed, how does he still find me?"

Zhou Tianming simply couldn't figure it out, no matter how hard he tried.

Finally, we can only blame it on the other party being ill.

"Oh no, here it comes again."

He sensed that mass of aura again.

"Go!"

He tore open a teleportation talisman and vanished on the spot.

【Ding, detected that a qualified disciple used a teleportation talisman and teleported away early; the target appeared ten li outside.】

"Hmph!"

Lin Yang let out a cold snort and said, "See where you can run to."

Immediately, he set off in pursuit again.

———————

Ten li outside.

Zhou Tianming's already dark face grew even darker, because he had just fled to a place when that mass of aura chased after him again.

"Damn, it's here again." Zhou Tianming cursed, saying, "Looks like that person really is sick?"

"Run again!"

He then tore open another teleportation talisman and fled.

As soon as Lin Yang landed, he learned that the other party had run away again.

He also cursed, "If you're sick, you need treatment; running won't solve the problem."

Afterwards, he set off in pursuit again.

Facing Lin Yang's pursuit again.

Zhou Tianming involuntarily tore open another teleportation talisman.

This time, he had barely arrived at a place for a second before tearing open another teleportation talisman to flee.

Thus, they went back and forth, using the teleportation talisman dozens of times.

As for Lin Yang's side,

【Ding, detected that the qualified disciple used the teleportation talisman many, many times…… multiple times; the target is ten li outside.】

"Chase!" Lin Yang pursued without hesitation.

Last time, he was careless, letting this disciple escape.

This time, no matter what, we must capture him.

Ask him what serious illness he has, causing him to keep running.

—————

Thus.

Zhou Tianming fled.

Lin Yang pursued.

The two continued this cat-and-mouse chase for about half an hour.

The distance covered also exceeded a thousand kilometers.

By now, Zhou Tianming's Yintang was dark and his lips pale.

Now, with his low realm and repeated use of the teleportation talisman, he could barely withstand it.

Finally.

With a "wah" sound.

He spat out a mouthful of blood.

He wanted to cry but had no tears, because he noticed that the aura behind him was still pursuing; he could only drag his weak body and forcefully tear open another teleportation talisman to flee again.

After Lin Yang landed, he saw the bloodstains on the ground.

He muttered to himself.

"Wow, this guy really is sick; he's already vomiting blood."

"Quick, quick, chase; take advantage of his illness to take his life."

One must know that the other party is ill and about to collapse.

Lin Yang then prepared to strike in one go and capture him.

However, just as he was about to set off in pursuit,

【Dingdong!】

【Detected a new talent-qualified disciple active nearby; please, host, seek him out quickly, take him as a disciple—upon successful recruitment, receive the usual reward, the Nine Dragon Profound Heaven Banner!】

Upon hearing the system's prompt, Lin Yang was momentarily stunned.

"New……, new?"

【Yes】

Lin Yang confirmed again, saying, "You mean…… not that disobedient disciple who fled as soon as he saw me come, but a new one?"

"Brand new?"

【Mm, it's brand new.】

Upon hearing this, Lin Yang burst out laughing.

If he were to take on two disciples at once, the cashback he'd receive would be terrifyingly huge.

He hurriedly said, "Good, very good; where is that disciple now?"

【In a city ten li from here.】

Lin Yang nodded: "Alright, first note that disciple's exact location; after I find that runaway disobedient disciple, I'll go look for the third disciple."

He really ended up locking horns with that rebellious disciple today; he is determined to catch that rebellious disciple, yank his ear and demand an answer: "You're sick—what the hell are you running from?"

【Sorry, Host, we were delayed just now; that rebellious disciple has already used transport talismans multiple times to escape the system's detection range, and the target has disappeared.】

"What? Disappeared?"

Lin Yang heard this and vigorously rubbed his temples.

Once again, without even seeing whether the other party was male or female, he let that rebellious disciple escape.

He was somewhat annoyed.

However, the fact that the rebellious disciple managed to escape twice in a row from his grasp shows that his methods are definitely not simple.

He also didn't know what the other party's trait was like.

Could it possibly astonish him?

Thinking of this, Lin Yang's anger subsided considerably.

The more monstrous the disciple, the more he likes them.

That way, the returns will be greater.

Furthermore!

He seemed to have noticed a problem: that rebellious disciple always appears by the small river ten li outside Heavenly Dao Peak.

Perhaps something there is particularly attractive to him.

Thus, since the rebellious disciple could come the first time and also the second time, he will surely come a third time.

Turning back, he was at that position.

He set up some animal traps.

First, he would snap the rebellious disciple's leg with the trap, then set it back for him, and finally take the rebellious disciple as his apprentice.

Two consecutive attempts left him empty-handed.

He also has a temper.

After making such a plan, and with no concrete escape location for the rebellious disciple left, Lin Yang turned into a streak of flowing light, preparing first to check on another disciple's situation.

He also didn't know what trait the new disciple possessed.

Would it possibly astonish my head?
