Chapter 447: Voices of the Heart

~9 min read 1,791 words

Around ten in the morning, the yacht arrived at another sea area of the island.

Looking up at the shore, they saw a cliff of moderate height, about six or seven meters tall.

Waves gently lapped against the cliff, carving traces of time.

The yacht stopped not far from the cliff. Yu Xiaonan went to the water entry steps, put on her gear, then turned to the group and said:

"The water here is too deep to stand, so we'll go one at a time."

"The first person down should test whether they can control their body. Once we're sure it's safe, we'll let the next person go."

"As for the underwater camera, I'll teach you how to use it after everyone's confirmed safe."

As Yu Xiaonan spoke, Butler Liu stepped out from inside the yacht.

Li Luo saw he had also changed into a wetsuit and asked in surprise, "Is Butler Liu coming in too?"

"I have to watch over you with Coach Yu," Butler Liu smiled. "Everyone's stamina differs. Two coaches watching makes it safer."

"Butler Liu, are you also a diving instructor?" Li Luo couldn't help asking.

"I'm not worthy," Butler Liu said. "When Miss Yu first learned diving, I was her instructor."

Li Luo: "..."

Seeing Butler Liu's many talents, Li Luo finally understood—being a butler is also fiercely competitive; you must master everything.

With this level of skill, it's no wonder the boss hired him—he's worth every penny.

After Coach Yu and Butler Liu entered the water first, Li Luo volunteered to be the first to jump in.

He'd always been a good swimmer in his past life; naturally, he had no worries now.

He skillfully dove underwater, floating effortlessly with buoyancy, kicking his fins, and gliding smoothly into the sea.

Yan Zhusheng also easily mastered this stretch of water, following behind Li Luo as the two drifted around the yacht.

Soon after, Ying Chanxi and Xu Youyu also adapted to diving.

The four parents took a bit longer to adjust.

So Butler Liu stayed behind to continue instructing, while Yu Xiaonan, holding the underwater camera, came over to Li Luo's group to teach them how to use it.

Learning from past mistakes, Li Luo made no physical contact with Yu Xiaonan this time.

After briefly familiarizing himself with the underwater camera, he took the three girls on an underwater tour, snapping photos of them occasionally.

Yu Xiaonan fulfilled her instructor duties, trailing behind them all.

The seawater here was deeper, yet still crystal clear; vast coral reefs spread beneath, each spot a scenic view.

But Xu Youyu's stamina was truly weaker. Though diving was easier than swimming, after ten minutes, she grew exhausted and signaled Yu Xiaonan that she wanted to return.

Seeing this, Yu Xiaonan led the four back near the yacht. Li Luo saw Xu Youyu preparing to board, so he surfaced, told Ying Chanxi and Yan Zhusheng, then accompanied Xu Youyu back to rest on the boat.

"Youyu."

Back on the yacht, watching Xu Youyu remove her mask and breathe lightly, Li Luo chuckled. "You really should exercise more regularly."

"Aren't I exercising these past few days?" Xu Youyu shot him a look, then walked straight to the first-floor lounge. "I've been worn out lately—always playing."

"I mean daily exercise—morning runs, that sort of thing," Li Luo said. "Or if you like swimming, I remember Qian University has a pool. When we go there this year, you can swim."

"Who said I like swimming?" Xu Youyu laughed. "My dad even bought a family annual pass for Qian University's pool—faculty discount—but I never used it once."

"Why do you say that with such pride?" Li Luo smirked, following her into the lounge and fetching two drinks.

"Open it for me," Xu Youyu said as he handed her a drink. "You've got zero awareness. At a time like this, you should offer to open it yourself."

"Alright, alright." Li Luo twisted open the cap and held the drink to her lips, smiling. "Want me to feed you?"

"Hmph." Xu Youyu leaned in, took two sips, then turned her eyes playfully—but said nothing more.

Instead, she looked at Li Luo, wrapped her arms around his neck, and leaned in.

"Mmm…" Li Luo had just been about to open his own drink when Xu Youyu suddenly kissed him.

The next instant, sweetness spread through his lips and teeth.

After a long while, Xu Youyu pulled back two steps, cheeks flushed, grinning at him as she winked suggestively.

Li Luo, breathless from the kiss, felt his head spin.

Realizing the others were still underwater and couldn't see this, he took a sip of his drink, then pulled Xu Youyu into his arms.

…

Meanwhile, Yu Xiaonan needed to use the restroom, so she told Butler Liu to watch the six guests and returned to the yacht.

As soon as she stepped into the first-floor lounge, she witnessed a rather dramatic scene.

Li Luo and Xu Youyu also noticed the movement at the door and immediately pulled apart, turning toward Yu Xiaonan.

"Coach Yu… why did you come up?" Li Luo felt a bit embarrassed, caught in the act.

But Yu Xiaonan showed no extra expression—she merely nodded at them and walked straight toward the restroom. "I came back to use the toilet. If you're going back in the water later, just call out to me first."

"Got it, I'll—mm!"

Before Li Luo could say more, Xu Youyu—though even redder than before—didn't care at all. Right in front of Yu Xiaonan, she forcefully kissed Li Luo's lips again.

Seeing this, Yu Xiaonan raised an eyebrow, smiled faintly, and walked past them into the restroom.

After Yu Xiaonan entered the restroom, Xu Youyu finally broke the kiss, stepped off Li Luo, and grinned. "I'm going to the toilet too."

Li Luo watched Xu Youyu's back as she headed toward the bedroom bathroom, touched his lips, and couldn't help but laugh and sigh.

But at that moment, Ying Chanxi also came aboard and returned to the lounge.

Seeing Li Luo alone, she asked curiously, "Where are Senior and Coach Yu?"

"Both using the restroom," Li Luo said. "Why did you come up?"

"I—I… I need to use the toilet too," Ying Chanxi stammered, refusing to admit she'd followed Yu Xiaonan up because she'd seen her come aboard.

But seeing Li Luo alone, she suddenly got an idea, shuffled closer to him, and whispered, "Do you think the MV shoot will include underwater scenes?"

"That camera has recording function, right? Ask Coach Yu later—maybe shoot a few clips," Li Luo said.

But Ying Chanxi clearly didn't mean that—she gently hugged Li Luo's arm and added, "I mean, what happened on the yacht."

Hearing this, Li Luo instantly understood what the girl was thinking. He smiled faintly, looked down at her, and leaned toward her lips.

Seeing this, Ying Chanxi immediately closed her eyes, tilted up her delicate face, and waited for Li Luo's kiss.

But after several seconds, she still felt no touch. Confused, she opened her eyes and saw Li Luo watching her with a teasing, half-smiling gaze—her cheeks instantly flushed red.

"You're such a bad person!" Ying Chanxi huffed, swatting him, then turned away to ignore him—but the next second, she was pulled back. "What are you—mm!"

She instinctively struggled a little at first, but soon her body softened, melting into Li Luo's tight embrace.

Only when the bathroom door in the living room opened did Ying Chanxi hastily pull away from him. Seeing Yu Xiaonan's startled expression, she spun around and ran out: "I'll wait for you in the water!"

With that, Ying Chanxi fled, her heart sweetly fluttering—she thought that Yu the coach, having seen that moment, would no longer harbor any ill intentions toward Li Luo.

It was like stamping her mark on something of hers—Ying Chanxi felt shy, yet secretly delighted, even a little thrill coursing through her.

But leaving Li Luo alone on the boat now made him even more awkward.

"Cough… uh… " Li Luo didn't know what to say.

But Yu Xiaonan wasn't surprised at all—she merely smiled softly. "No need to explain. I've seen this kind of thing plenty of times."

"Sure enough, once a man gets rich, he's all the same. Your book has multiple heroines, but still feels pretty innocent."

"But in real life? It's the same—playing with women, just like my dad."

Saying this, Yu Xiaonan gave a self-deprecating laugh.

But after hearing this, Li Luo's expression darkened slightly: "I don't care how you view your father. But my feelings for all three of them are genuine. Don't describe our relationship as 'playing with women'—or I'll feel you're insulting me."

"What? Hit a nerve?" Yu Xiaonan shrugged. "Just admit it openly—it's more comfortable. Don't tell me you're actually going to fall in love with them? That's stupid."

"If you've never experienced such emotion, then I can only feel sorry for you." Li Luo shook his head and stood up, walking toward the door—he clearly had no interest in further discussion. "They each hold special meaning to me. You probably can't understand."

Watching Li Luo's retreating back, Yu Xiaonan looked slightly puzzled, but she didn't dwell on it. After drinking a few sips of water, she turned to Xu Youyu, who had just stepped out of the bedroom bathroom.

The two girls exchanged glances.

Yu Xiaonan suddenly smirked, turning to Xu Youyu. "You know what?"

"What?" Xu Youyu asked, puzzled.

"Just now, your boyfriend kissed that girl named Xixi right here." Yu Xiaonan stared at Xu Youyu, curious about her reaction.

"Oh." Xu Youyu nodded, then asked curiously, "And then?"

This left Yu Xiaonan stunned. "What kind of reaction is that?"

"Do I have to get angry?" Xu Youyu covered her mouth and laughed. "Yu sister, I'm not sure if Li Luo plays with women—but I definitely enjoy playing with men. Especially him."

Hearing this, Yu Xiaonan suddenly realized: "You heard all of that?"

"Mm-hmm."

"So you don't mind?" Yu Xiaonan raised an eyebrow, seeing Xu Youyu's calm reaction. "Among the four parents, two are yours, right? What would they think if they knew?"

"What they think has nothing to do with me," Xu Youyu tilted her head in reply. "I only seek a soulmate. Once I find someone who resonates with me, everything else doesn't matter."

"Love, marriage, or even that red booklet—the legal concept of marriage—means little to me."

"As long as being together feels comfortable and the process is right, the outcome doesn't matter."

"Is chasing just a booklet, a binding contract, really guaranteed to bring happiness?"

Xu Youyu smiled brightly as she finished: "I have no interest in chasing the surface while ignoring the essence."
