Chapter 768: Is Yan Zhusheng Also His Girlfriend?!
Behind the main stage on the east side, the atmosphere was lively.
Student union staff and members of various music clubs gathered here clapped and cheered for the five members of Shengsheng Bu Xi.
A small portion of the audience who had been watching from below the stage also gathered around.
Fortunately, student union members held back the crowd, preventing them from surging forward.
Seeing this, Li Luo simply took Yan Zhusheng to the edge of the crowd, greeted them, and let Yan Zhusheng sign autographs.
Fortunately, those who came to the music festival were all students from prestigious universities, and their conduct was decent; after getting autographs, they dispersed at the student union members' urging.
When Li Luo and Yan Zhusheng returned to the backstage, Wen Zexuan had already waited there with Cheng Xin.
Beside them were Ying Chanxi, Qiao Xinyan, and Yan Zhusheng's roommate Cheng Jinyan.
Jiang Lai had gone off to wander after watching the performance with her boyfriend, probably guessing Wen Zexuan would come backstage, so she didn't follow.
"You're Li Luo's roommates?" Hearing the conversation between Wen Zexuan and Ying Chanxi, Cheng Jinyan curiously approached and politely greeted them, "Hello, we're Yan Zhusheng's roommates."
"Hello." Wen Zexuan smiled cheerfully, his gaze sweeping over Cheng Jinyan and the two other girls, noticing that Yan Zhusheng's three roommates were all quite good-looking, on par with Qiao Xinyan beside Ying Chanxi.
After greeting them, Wen Zexuan quietly leaned toward Cheng Xin's ear and whispered something, causing Cheng Xin's face to instantly flush red as he shook his head frantically.
Wen Zexuan rolled his eyes, utterly speechless at this cowardly roommate, and decided to ignore him.
What disappointed him, however, was that Xu Youyu hadn't come, so he couldn't witness the showdown he'd wanted to observe.
With Ying Chanxi's status, this was her home turf; without Xu Youyu present, she could claim to be Li Luo's girlfriend.
But what happened next once again caught Wen Zexuan off guard.
"Sister, you're here." Yan Zhusheng returned to the backstage with Li Luo and, in front of everyone, hugged Ying Chanxi's arm, calling out affectionately.
"Mm." Ying Chanxi showed no intention of publicly confirming herself as Li Luo's girlfriend; she nodded and said, "Your performance today was a great success."
"It's all thanks to you coming on stage to give flowers."
The two exchanged compliments, leaving everyone else around them bewildered.
Hearing Yan Zhusheng call someone "sister," Cheng Jinyan couldn't help but ask in surprise, "Zhusheng, is she your sister? I've never heard you mention this before."
"Yes." Yan Zhusheng nodded and introduced, "She's my cousin, Ying Chanxi. We were in the same class in high school."
"Oh, I see." Cheng Jinyan's face lit up with realization, and she immediately greeted Ying Chanxi warmly.
After exchanging pleasantries, Li Luo said, "We've been performing for an hour—it's tiring. Let's head back and rest early."
Everyone nodded and exited through the side of the stage.
But Wen Zexuan was now deeply confused, utterly baffled by the current scene, as if the whole world had been shrouded in mist, making everything unclear.
"Ying Chanxi is Yan Zhusheng's sister?" Cheng Xin whispered in astonishment to Wen Zexuan, "Luo Ge is truly amazing—I never knew Ying Chanxi had this connection."
"That's surprising, but is that the point?" Wen Zexuan said, exasperated. "Look at what just happened backstage—Ying Chanxi didn't act like Li Luo's girlfriend at all. Doesn't that strike you as strange?"
"It's fine," Cheng Xin scratched his head. "Didn't she just get hugged by Yan Zhusheng? She can't just shove her own sister away to go hold hands with Luo Ge, can she?"
But in reality, Ying Chanxi didn't publicly reveal herself as Li Luo's girlfriend simply because Yan Zhusheng's roommates were present.
After all, from Cheng Jinyan's perspective, Yan Zhusheng was the one occupying the position of Li Luo's official girlfriend.
Ying Chanxi knew this, so she obviously couldn't publicly undermine her; fortunately, Yan Zhusheng had offered her a graceful exit, and Ying Chanxi gladly took it.
Meanwhile, Cheng Jinyan and the others knew Yan Zhusheng's special status—Li Luo had specifically warned them not to spread their romantic relationship.
So Cheng Jinyan and the other two never hinted that Yan Zhusheng was Li Luo's girlfriend.
This left Wen Zexuan completely baffled, unable to make sense of the situation at all.
So Wen Zexuan could only make a bold guess, glancing at Li Luo and the others walking ahead, then whispering to Cheng Xin: "Do you think there's a possibility?"
"What?" Cheng Xin asked curiously.
"Didn't Senior Xu tell us earlier?" Wen Zexuan reminded him. "When they were in high school, the four of them already lived together off-campus."
"What if my guess is right?"
Wen Zexuan's voice grew even quieter, afraid of being overheard by those ahead.
"Think about it—suppose Senior Xu is the real girlfriend, and everyone knows it."
"Then when Ying Chanxi secretly dates Li Luo behind the scenes, wouldn't she have to be careful?"
"For example, just now—if Li Luo and Senior Xu's relationship were public, that means Yan Zhusheng knows about it too."
"In that case, how could Ying Chanxi, as Yan Zhusheng's cousin, dare to publicly reveal she's secretly dating Li Luo?"
"Doesn't that make sense?"
After hearing Wen Zexuan's analysis, Cheng Xin finally understood, his face lighting up with epiphany: "Oh, so that's it! Now that you say it, everything fits."
"Right?" Wen Zexuan wore a smug expression, but then sighed heavily. "That bastard Luo Ge—how the hell did he convince a girl like Ying Chanxi to become his secret mistress? I just don't get it."
"Luo Ge is so outstanding—it's normal for this to happen," Cheng Xin scratched his head, still defending Li Luo.
"Some get soaked, others dry up," Wen Zexuan muttered. "You can't even find a girlfriend yourself, yet you're still defending him."
"But that's the truth," Cheng Xin said helplessly. "If I were as awesome as Luo Ge, I'd date two girls too."
"Heh, first find yourself a girlfriend," Wen Zexuan rolled his eyes at him. "I already told you—you can't chase the girls around Li Luo, but Yan Zhusheng's roommates are also great."
"Ask Luo Ge to organize a dorm mixer sometime—you might actually have a chance."
"Like Qiao Xinyan or Cheng Jinyan—they both fit your criteria."
"Shen Zhaoyin is good too, but she seems cold and aloof—not your type. I'll take her, then?"
"Xuan Ge, you sound like you're dividing up spoils—that's kind of sleazy," Cheng Xin whispered.
"Food and sex are human nature—Confucius said so," Wen Zexuan swatted him on the back of the head. "If Qiao Xinyan or Cheng Jinyan liked you, wouldn't you date them?"
"Of course I would…" Cheng Xin muttered.
Wen Zexuan snorted—he'd fully figured out this kid's nature.
Meanwhile, as the two whispered behind, Yan Zhusheng walked beside Li Luo toward the edge of the field, encountering many spectators who recognized them.
So they were forced to stop again for autographs and photos until Yan Zhusheng found it too troublesome and finally pulled out the mask she'd used earlier, putting it on—finally achieving some peace.
After finally walking safely out of the East Playground, Yan Zhusheng said to Li Luo: "I'll take Jin Yan and the others home first, then go back myself. You go home with Chanxi first."
"Alright, be careful on your way." Li Luo nodded, then turned to Wen Zexuan and Cheng Xin, who were following behind, "You two get in Chanxi's car—I'll drop you off on the way."
"Okay…" Cheng Xin was about to accept Li Luo's offer when Wen Zexuan immediately cut him off.
"We're still planning to keep walking around. You guys go ahead." Wen Zexuan grabbed Cheng Xin's arm and said to Li Luo and the others, "The music festival isn't over yet."
"Oh, then we'll head off first." Li Luo smiled, not noticing Wen Zexuan's unusual expression, nodded, bid farewell to Jin Yan and the others, then got into Ying Chanxi's car with Qiao Xinyan and left.
"Brother Xuan, are we still going to keep walking?" Cheng Xin scratched his head. "You still planning to hit on girls?"
"Is that the issue?" Wen Zexuan glanced at him, then snapped, "Didn't you notice Yan Zhusheng just now? Don't you recognize her?"
"Huh?" Cheng Xin froze, confused by Wen Zexuan's words. "What do you mean recognize her? Yan Zhusheng is Yan Zhusheng—what else could she be?"
"You're dumb." Wen Zexuan sighed helplessly, pressing his palm to his forehead. "But I can't blame you—I'm actually not even sure myself. Maybe I just misread it."
"What's going on?" Cheng Xin was thoroughly baffled. "Just spit it out already—I'm getting dizzy from your riddles."
"Ah… didn't you notice how Yan Zhusheng looked when she put on her mask?" Wen Zexuan sighed again, reminding him. "Doesn't it seem familiar?"
"Uh…" Cheng Xin fell into deep thought, frowning as he strained to recall. "When she put on her mask?"
To be honest, the encounter with the masked couple earlier that afternoon had been a minor incident to Cheng Xin—he had already forgotten about them.
Wen Zexuan's remark left him momentarily clueless.
After all, in his subconscious, that masked couple were dating, while Yan Zhusheng was single.
Unless they happened to cross paths immediately, Cheng Xin simply couldn't connect the two after a gap in time.
But Wen Zexuan was more perceptive in this regard—especially since Li Luo had jokingly claimed Yan Zhusheng was his girlfriend.
Though Wen Zexuan had always treated that remark as a joke, now, recalling it, he felt cold sweat break out.
A startling thought suddenly surfaced in his mind—so absurd he himself couldn't believe it.
"So what's the real situation?" Cheng Xin couldn't stand the riddles anymore. After thinking hard with no result, he urged, "What exactly did you notice?"
Wen Zexuan, exasperated by his slowness, prompted again: "Remember earlier, when I told you to pick any girl and I'd go after her?"
"The first one you picked—tall, ponytail bun, wearing a mask that only showed her eyes."
"Now do you remember?"
"Oh, now that you mention it, I definitely recall!" Cheng Xin nodded quickly, instantly remembering those stunning eyes—but then he froze, eyes widening in disbelief as he stared at Wen Zexuan. "Wait—you're saying…?"
"Only now do you get it?" Wen Zexuan crossed his arms and sighed heavily.
"Yan Zhusheng has a boyfriend?!" Cheng Xin blurted out in shock. "How lucky—no idea who got that fortune."
Hearing this, Wen Zexuan, who had thought the boy had finally figured it out, slapped his forehead in utter disbelief. "You're hopeless. You only got this far?"
"Huh?" Cheng Xin didn't understand. "What else could it be?"

"I bet you were staring only at Yan Zhusheng and didn't even look at the guy beside her," Wen Zexuan couldn't help complaining. "Think harder—wasn't that guy exactly like Brother Luo? Same clothes."
"This…" Cheng Xin was speechless with shock, mouth agape in disbelief. "Is this… really true?! I didn't pay close attention—can you be sure the clothes were the same?"
"I thought those two looked familiar, but assumed it was my imagination, so I didn't mention it," Wen Zexuan said helplessly. "Now you understand how insane this is."
"So Brother Luo—he—he…" Cheng Xin was now stumbling over his words, fingers trembling, unable to believe such a thing could happen. "Is he cheating on three people?! Is Yan Zhusheng also his secret lover?!"
"Very likely," Wen Zexuan nodded heavily. "Otherwise why would both of them hide their relationship with Li Luo? Clearly, they're both hiding it from each other."
"Holy shit!" Cheng Xin, now grasping the implication, couldn't imagine what Li Luo's daily life must be like. "Xu Xuejie said the four of them live together—so is Brother Luo just eating right out of the nest? How doesn't he get caught?!"
"How should I know?" Wen Zexuan snapped. "That bastard knows how to enjoy himself—Ying Chanxi I can accept, but even Yuan Wanqing's daughter? How the hell did he pull that off?!"
