Chapter 812
Who gets the marriage certificate first?
Ying Chanxi, who was packing Li Luo's clothes, didn't notice his unusual demeanor beside the desk; she kept organizing while bickering with Yan Zhusheng.
After reporting the situation to Xu Youyu, Li Luo looked again toward the two girls, his gaze slightly complex.
Though he had many fantasies after his rebirth, actually reaching this point still filled him with immense luck and happiness.
"What are you staring at? Don't you come help out?" Ying Chanxi turned and saw Li Luo daydreaming; she rolled her eyes and immediately urged, "Your stuff isn't little at all."
"When did I get this many clothes?" Li Luo stared at the growing pile of shirts and pants, leaning closer and couldn't help but whistle.
He knew the three girls often bought him new clothes, especially Ying Chanxi, who loved shopping.
But he rarely organized his wardrobe himself—Ying Chanxi always did it—so he had no concrete sense of how many clothes were actually in it.
Only now, as they truly began packing, did he clearly realize how much the three girls had bought him over these past three years.
"This one," Yan Zhusheng pulled out a beige sweater and turned to Li Luo, "I bought this for you in first year."
"Oh, this one?" Ying Chanxi glanced at it, then pulled out a dark blue down jacket and black cotton pants, "There were these two too—I bought them with Senior."
"This one, this one, and these few—I bought them abroad during winter break."
"Hmm… these few sets—I bought them in Gao Er."
Ying Chanxi remembered every detail of these items as if she had an internal palace of memory, flawless and precise.
Li Luo crouched down, listening quietly as she folded each garment and recounted its origin, his lips unconsciously curving upward.
"Here." Ying Chanxi rummaged out a red scarf and an orange one, then spun her eyes and shoved the orange one into the suitcase, keeping the red one, "How about you wear this one tomorrow?"
"Why not this one?" Yan Zhusheng snatched the orange scarf away, pouting and demanding, "Sis, you're so mean—you tried to hide my knitted scarf!"
"I didn't!" Ying Chanxi retorted, "I was just asking—who even remembers where this orange one came from?"
"Didn't you just have great memory?" Yan Zhusheng teased, narrowing her eyes.
"I only remember things I gave. This one wasn't from me."
"Sis is so mean." Yan Zhusheng ignored her, shoving the orange scarf into Li Luo's hands, "Wear this one tomorrow."
Li Luo stared at the two scarves in his hands, fell into thought, then slowly wrapped both around his neck and looked helplessly at the two: "How about this?"
"Are you trying to suffocate yourself?" Ying Chanxi grumbled, yanking both scarves off and tossing them aside, "I was just joking—just don't wear any. It's not even cold right now."
Li Luo found it amusing, reached out, and ruffled both girls' hair before standing up again: "Are the clothes mostly packed?"
"Yeah, all done." Ying Chanxi stood up, her gaze landing on Li Luo's desk, "Should I tidy up this side too? Are you writing today?"
"What's wrong?" Li Luo asked.
"Won't you need to bring the computer over?" Ying Chanxi pointed at the computer on the desk.
Speaking of the computer—it was originally from Ying Chanxi's home.
It had been used by Ying Zhicheng for work when he came home, but since he rarely returned, Ying Chanxi brought it to Bihai Lanting for Li Luo to use.
Now, after Li Luo used it for over three years, nearly all of I Am Really Not a Star, Little Joy, and Grand Patrol Night Corps were typed out on this machine.
Li Luo had affection for it.
But when moving to the new home, he never planned to bring it along.
"Xu Youyu ordered four latest-model GPUs to build four new PCs; screens and mice will all be the newest versions," Li Luo said simply. "Leave this computer here."
"Hmm…" Ying Chanxi gently touched the computer screen, didn't object, but sighed slightly, "Will we never come back here again?"
"Probably not," Li Luo said, stroking his chin. "Sky Ridge Elegant Residence is close to school too—driving from there is no different from Bihai Lanting."
"Then what should we do with this place?" Ying Chanxi asked. "Rent it out like before?"
"That's unnecessary," Li Luo laughed. "I can't bear to let anyone else live here, and we don't need the rent income anyway, right?"
After all, this place held the beautiful memories of their three high school years—neither Li Luo nor the three girls wanted anyone else to move in and ruin what had been here.
"Besides," Li Luo pulled Ying Chanxi into an embrace and wrapped his arm around Yan Zhusheng too, then said with utter boldness, "When we have kids someday, if they study hard and get into Fuyi High, they can move in here too."
"W-what kids…?" Ying Chanxi blushed, squirmed, secretly delighted, her lips curling upward as she already imagined Li Luo's words.
Yan Zhusheng, however, looked up at Li Luo eagerly, grabbed his arm, and asked, "Li Luo wants a baby? I can give you one—can we go to bed right now?"
"What are you saying?!" Ying Chanxi instantly leaned forward, shouting to stop her, "Can't you think before you speak? That's too—too… too outrageous!"
"Are you jealous?"
"Am I jealous? Your words are just insane!"
"What's insane?" Yan Zhusheng tilted her head. "If you want a baby, isn't that the only way? Sis, you didn't learn biology well."
Ying Chanxi's face darkened: "…Is that the same thing?"
"You don't really plan to wait until marriage to… you know?" Yan Zhusheng asked curiously. "But we're three people—if we really get married, won't Li Luo get arrested?"
Li Luo: "…Can you think of something better?"
"I'm just asking," Yan Zhusheng blinked innocently. "What do you think, Sis?"
"Didn't you say before…" Ying Chanxi grew shy speaking of this, her voice dropping, fingers absently twisting her hair, head lowered as she whispered, "Marry… then divorce…"
Hearing this, Yan Zhusheng perked up, leaning close to Ying Chanxi and pressing: "You think this plan's good too? Last time I suggested it, you said it was unrealistic."
"You talk too much." Ying Chanxi pouted and glared at her.
"But there's still one problem," Yan Zhusheng added. "Who gets the marriage certificate first? Who gets it last?"
"This… of course I should be first… uh…" Ying Chanxi fell silent, instinctively wanting to be first.
But then she thought—if she was first, she'd have to be the first to divorce Li Luo. If she waited to be last, maybe she wouldn't have to divorce him at all? But then she'd become his third wife… that didn't feel good either…
This left Ying Chanxi deeply conflicted.
"Enough, enough," Li Luo couldn't watch anymore; he cut off Yan Zhusheng's questions, cleared his throat, and said, "This is still far off—let's pack first."
Ying Chanxi snapped back to reality, nodded immediately, and skipped past Yan Zhusheng's questions to avoid further mental strain.
But Yan Zhusheng felt she hadn't said enough; while Li Luo was tidying the desk drawers, she quietly leaned to Ying Chanxi's ear and whispered, "Sis, you haven't slept with Li Luo yet, have you?"
"Why ask that?" Ying Chanxi's cheeks flushed; she shot her a disgruntled glance. "Of course not. Do you have?"
"I don't either." Yan Zhusheng shook her head. "Mom didn't agree before."
"Huh?" Ying Chanxi blinked, caught off guard. "How could you even bring that up with her?"
"What's the problem?" Yan Zhusheng tilted her head. "I asked her again just a while ago—and this time, Mom said yes."
Ying Chanxi: "……?!"
"But she made me carry this." Yan Zhusheng pulled a small plastic square from her pant pocket and waved it in front of Ying Chanxi.
Ying Chanxi recognized the object and instantly remembered—it made her expression go flat. "... Why do you still have this? And you carry it with you?"
"So Li Luo can sleep with me anytime," Yan Zhusheng said with innocent sincerity. "Better to be prepared."
"Don't say something so explicit!" Ying Chanxi's cheeks burned at the words, and she frantically waved her hands.
She couldn't fathom how Yan Zhusheng could say such things so naturally—she had zero shame!
"What about you, sister?" Yan Zhusheng asked again. "Are you really going to wait until marriage?"
"It's not urgent anyway..." Ying Chanxi muttered softly. "I—I'm not ready yet, and Dad said..."
"Then I'll sleep with Li Luo first?" Yan Zhusheng blinked, speaking without hesitation.
"You—" Ying Chanxi panicked at those words.
In her view, such matters were still relatively traditional—completely different from Yan Zhusheng's approach.
But to rush into such a thing just to beat her to it? That felt wrong to her too.
So in the end, Ying Chanxi just huffed and said nothing, silently vowing to keep a close eye on Yan Zhusheng.
But then she thought again—she was so busy now, how could she possibly watch her all the time?
After much deliberation, Ying Chanxi sighed.
"Then... promise me one thing." Ying Chanxi tugged at Yan Zhusheng's sleeve, whispering softly.
Yan Zhusheng had never seen her sister beg like this—she froze, then asked, "What?"
"If you really, really..." Ying Chanxi pointed to Yan Zhusheng's pocket and leaned close to her ear, whispering, "if you actually use this, can you tell me?"
Yan Zhusheng hadn't expected this—she was momentarily stunned.
"Actually, sister, you could go first anyway—after all..."
Before Yan Zhusheng could finish, Ying Chanxi immediately shook her head and cut her off. "It doesn't matter."
"We're already like this. All I want now is to take good care of our lives."
"Even though Mom and Dad have tacitly accepted our relationship, they still don't know about Senior Xu."
"If possible, I'd rather wait until Dad truly accepts all four of us before doing that with Li Luo."
"I don't want to disappoint Dad..."
As she spoke, Ying Chanxi's voice grew quieter—but to Yan Zhusheng's ears, it snuffed out her urge to tease her sister further.
"What are you two talking about?" Li Luo, tidying his desk, turned to see the two girls huddled close, whispering. He asked curiously.
"Nothing..." Ying Chanxi quickly jumped away from Yan Zhusheng and winked at her, signaling her to stay quiet.
Yan Zhusheng glanced at Ying Chanxi, then spoke plainly: "Sister told me to let her know when I sleep with you."
"Oh no! Zhusheng!" Ying Chanxi's cheeks flushed crimson. She lunged at Yan Zhusheng and clamped a hand over her mouth.
Li Luo was baffled, then realized—perhaps Ying Chanxi had finally come to terms with the fact that he and Xu Youyu had already become intimate, so she was okay with Yan Zhusheng doing the same.
He chuckled and stepped forward to separate the two girls, pulling Ying Chanxi back to the desk. "Alright, alright. Help me tidy up. Look what this is."
He pulled a photo frame from the drawer and held it out to Ying Chanxi.
Ying Chanxi looked closely—it was the clay photo frame she had made herself, holding the photo of their first kiss, carefully chosen by her.
Yan Zhusheng leaned over beside her and asked curiously, "When was this taken?"
"You're not allowed to look!" Ying Chanxi immediately covered the photo.
"Sister's so stingy. Just one look won't hurt." Yan Zhusheng said. "Wasn't this the birthday gift you gave him? Why don't you keep it on the desk?"
"Sister was too shy to show it to you," Li Luo chuckled. "So I put it away."
"Hmph~" Ying Chanxi hugged the frame to her chest. "I'm taking this with me. I'll put it in the collection room."
"Won't your parents see it when they visit?" Yan Zhusheng offered helpfully.
"..." Ying Chanxi's cheeks flushed. She realized Yan Zhusheng was right. "Then... I'll put it in after they leave tomorrow. They won't just wander into the collection room every day."
"I want to take one too," Yan Zhusheng tugged Li Luo's arm. "Li Luo, kiss me. Let sister take a picture of us."
Ying Chanxi: "... You're being too much."
