Chapter 211: Treasures, Here I Come (First Update, Seeking Subscriptions)

Unlike ordinary spotted hyenas, Demonized spotted hyenas, which possess no reason whatsoever, naturally fight to the death without retreating; the battle is only considered over when they have all lost their combat capability.

In this battle, Li Zhangsheng specifically spared the life of one spotted hyena, while all the others were slaughtered.

Yuan Yongyan asked curiously, "Captain, why are you keeping it?"

"I want to test the difficulty of purification!" Li Zhangsheng said this with his mouth, but in reality, this was a High Quality spotted hyena, worth about 20 Soul Crystals!

He had just bought an auction house and needed a large number of auction items, so he naturally would not let go of any High Quality Spirit Beast, even if it was a Demonized Fairy.

These are all Soul Crystals!

He was currently so poor that he didn't have many Soul Crystals left; his pockets were more than just a little empty, and the renovation of the auction house would continue to require a significant investment of Soul Crystals. Until the first auction arrived, he could only continue to operate at a loss.

At this moment, Instructor Qian Yuanfei landed on the ground.

"Sunlight Meow, Light Dispersion!"

Under Li Zhangsheng's command, Sunlight Meow radiated a milky white light, which eventually turned into specks of light that surged frantically into the Demonized spotted hyena.

Light Dispersion can dispel negative status effects, so it naturally also has a miraculous effect on purifying Demonic Qi.

The Demonized spotted hyena let out a painful whimper, and black gas, appearing almost substantial, began to emanate from its head; under the Light-type energy, the black gas dissipated in the blink of an eye.

This Demonized spotted hyena had first received the initial purification from the Gate of Radiance, and now it had been bolstered by Light Dispersion, which is specifically for dispelling negative status effects. This caused the Demonic Qi within its body to be more than half purified, but there was still Demonic Qi remaining inside it.

Even so, the eyes of the Demonized spotted hyena underwent a change, turning from blood-red to dark brown, occasionally revealing a blood-colored glint, and the originally mindless gaze gained a bit of clarity.

"Paradise Bird, Light Dispersion!"

Li Zhangsheng's voice rang out once again.

If one Light Dispersion doesn't work, then what about two!

This time, the Demonic Qi within the Demonized spotted hyena was completely purified, but this would also have certain sequelae; the spotted hyena was clearly in a weakened state and would need a period of time to fully recover.

The spotted hyena completely regained its clarity, and there was a bit more gratitude in the eyes with which it looked at Li Zhangsheng.

Contract!

The next moment, Li Zhangsheng cast a Temporary Contract.

Perhaps it was because the spotted hyena was too weak, or perhaps it felt gratitude toward Li Zhangsheng, but in any case, the spotted hyena did not resist at all and was eventually easily contracted by Li Zhangsheng.

The Temporary Contract turned into a mark and was finally branded onto the spotted hyena's head.

"It really can be contracted!" Li Zhangsheng feigned an expression of exclamation; those who didn't know would think he was just experimenting, and at the very least, Instructor Qian Yuanfei and his teammates had no doubts whatsoever.

"Instructor, how many more Demonized Fairies do we need to kill?"

Instructor Qian Yuanfei didn't even look at the words on the notebook and said directly, "One Upper Rank Demonized Fairy, four Middle Rank Demonized Fairies, and 25 Lower Rank Demonized Fairies!"

"More than half have already been completed; everyone, keep up the good work and strive to finish the mission before nightfall!"

Li Zhangsheng did not recall his Demon Pets and once again took the lead to set off.

After this battle, Li Zhangsheng had initially established his prestige, and all four teammates, including Chen Yunsheng, felt heartfelt admiration in their hearts.

In the time that followed, the progress of Li Zhangsheng's team advanced steadily, and soon only the final target remained—the Upper Rank Demonized Fairy!

At this time, Yuan Yongyan pointed toward the south and said, "Captain, there are several Demonized giant lizards over there, and one of them is suspected to have reached the Upper Realm!"

Unlike Li Tianyu and the other two teammates, Yuan Yongyan had decent strength and possessed a higher degree of freedom, allowing her to explore at will near the team.

"Good, we'll head over there!"

At Li Zhangsheng's command, the team immediately advanced toward the south and soon found their target.

Ordinary giant lizards can reach a length of 2—3 meters, with the tail accounting for about three-fifths of the body length. Although their bodies are large, their movements are agile; they are not only good at swimming in water but can also climb small trees. Because their limbs are strong and they have sharp claws on their toes, they are called 'Five-Clawed Golden Dragons'.

This is definitely the worst time the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon has ever been slandered!

There were a total of seven Demonized giant lizards, the largest of which reached a full five meters; compared to ordinary Demonized giant lizards, it was almost the difference between an adult and a child.

This was a High Quality Demonized giant lizard, but because it had reached the Upper Realm and possessed a fierce nature, it would definitely try to break free from the constraints of a Temporary Contract. To avoid trouble, Li Zhangsheng had to give up the idea of contracting it.

"It is indeed an Upper Rank giant lizard!" Before Li Zhangsheng could speak, Instructor Qian Yuanfei's voice rang out first.

Just as Li Zhangsheng and the others discovered the Demonized giant lizards, they also discovered Li Zhangsheng and the others; the giant lizards moved and pounced toward them aggressively.

"Leave the Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard to me, you all can handle the others as you please! Aixi, Firebird, Kailan, attack together!"

Li Zhangsheng had no intention of fighting alone. Under his command, Kailan immediately cast Burrowing Vine, instantly binding the Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard tightly.

Creak—creak—

The Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard struggled violently, and the vines made sounds of being unable to bear the weight, beginning to snap one by one.

Before the Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard could fully break free, Aixi's Wind Blade arrived, slicing the tail of the Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard straight off.

In the sky, the Firebird spat out a stream of scorching Dragon Breath, completely engulfing the Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard.

In the scorching firelight, the Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard struggled violently, but its struggles quickly became feeble, and finally, it stopped moving altogether.

When the flames vanished, the Upper Rank Demonized giant lizard had almost turned into charcoal.

Soon, the other six Demonized giant lizards followed in its footsteps.

"Congratulations on completing the mission to clear out the Demonized Fairies, with a total reward of 50 Academic Credits! Distributed according to your contributions, Li Zhangsheng alone receives 30 Academic Credits, Yuan Yongyan 8, Li Tianyu 5, Chen Yunsheng 4, and Wang Ding 3!"

At this moment, Instructor Qian Yuanfei's voice rang out.

Regarding this distribution of contributions, no one expressed any objection; they were very clear about how they had performed during this mission.

Hearing that Li Zhangsheng alone received 30 Academic Credits, their hearts were undoubtedly complex; was he too strong, or were they too useless?

Same elite, why are you so outstanding!

After putting away the Demon Cores, Li Zhangsheng suggested, "It's not early anymore, there is a small town a few dozen miles away; let's stay there tonight. Does anyone have any different opinions?"

No one had any objections, and soon the group arrived at the town and checked into the only inn in the town.

"You all go have dinner first; I plan to buy some daily necessities, I'll just eat some dry rations!"

"Captain, do you want me to accompany you to do the shopping?" Yuan Yongyan looked at Li Zhangsheng with expectant eyes.

Hearing Yuan Yongyan say this, the others looked at Li Zhangsheng with envy, wishing they could take his place.

Yuan Yongyan was pretty and lovely, had a good personality, and possessed decent strength, so she was naturally liked by many students.

"No need!" Li Zhangsheng waved his hand, declining Yuan Yongyan's good intentions; he prepared to explore Luojing Mountain alone, as bringing Yuan Yongyan along would be a nuisance.

After leaving the inn, Li Zhangsheng pretended to be shopping for daily necessities, and once he was certain no one was monitoring him, he immediately cast the Breath Concealment Secret Technique on himself amidst the crowd and left the small town.

What he feared was Instructor Qian Yuanfei, which was the reason why he had gone to such unnecessary trouble.
